I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Consumer Warning: Do Not Hire FixTman LLC (Washington, D.C.)…read more I would strongly caution anyone against hiring FixTman LLC for TV mounting or installation services. I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I appreciate the role which FixT serves, but with Yelp as the solicitation platform, it admittedly seems like another unnecessary middleman to go through them. The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.

The first job was a fancy faucet upgrade and plumbing job in the kitchen. The second was a basement lighting, electrical and garbage disposal replacement job. Both jobs were handled quick, fast, competently and with the best attention to detail. Initially, during the first visit, I was a bit nervous about hiring a handyman service for the job given I had bought a very expensive faucet and didn't want just anyone to screw it up. I figured a "big" plumbing company was the way to go, until I got their ridiculous quote for the job! In steps MCCS. MCCS handled the job like a pro, with no issues or damages/scratches to the faucet, cabinets or granite countertops....and at half the cost in comparison. During the last visit, Maryam performed the work herself and truthfully, I was amazed with her technical skill and knowledge to jump from completing plumbing work to figuring out a couple of electrical issues all in the same visit. As a small minority-women owned business, Maryam and her team has been a pleasure to work with. The communication and response time is fair and this is one company that has stayed consistent and on-time when scheduled. On both occasions, Maryam tends to get back to you the same day with a quote/response and schedule your work at your convenience. In all, MCCS gets 10 Stars if Yelp allowed. I have nothing but good things to say about their services and professionalism for being such a small company. Given how hard it is to find dependable people and competent handyman services in the DMV......let's just say......MCCS will be my "go to" when in need for home repair/contracting services for sure!

They moved everything from my studio to my new place in under three hours. It was a local move with only about 10 to 15 minutes of driving, but they were still extremely fast and efficient. Nothing was broken, although I did transport the more fragile items myself to be extra careful. The only issue was that they left several long, noticeable scuff marks on the wall in my narrow hallway. That was unfortunate, but it felt fairly minor in the grand scheme of the move. Overall, the movers were professional, efficient, and easy to communicate with. I would still recommend them, but I would suggest keeping an eye on the walls in tighter spaces.
