The hubby and I arrived at the Blakeney House and were warmed greeted by the host who showed us to our room. The room was immaculately clean and looked exactly like the pics on the website. The house and our room were adorable! We visited Blakeney House during the off season and received a very reasonable nightly rate. The daily breakfast was delicious. The B&B is a short (5-10 mins) walk from a gorgeous coastal walk and within easy walking distance of all the local restaurants and pubs. Blakeney House is a short drive from the popular ferries that provide tours to see the seals. Blakeney House is an absolutely adorable B&B in a great little town. Book quickly--although considering my experience there, I can't imagine that they have much availability!

First, the B&B is an early 17th century estate the maintains its exterior charm. However, the interior is quite modern and luxurious given the space to work with. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The price was exceptional for the area, 87 pounds/night ($133), which was half the rate of nearly anywhere else around. Great shower, clean and comfy bed, and quite spacious for European standards. The owners and operators are a couple of the most friendly people around as well. Simon is the cook and a great one at that. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offers quite a selection. All things considered, I could not find a single bad thing to say about this place. It really was an exceptional place with great owner/operators. Do your research and you'll find this really is the place to stay.

During the three days of the July 12-14, 2013 long weekend we used all 16 rooms of Avalon Farm B&B…read moreto accommodate family members who had traveled from the U.S. and Australia to join family members living in various parts of England to attend a family reunion in nearby Wymondham, Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds, immediately known to all as Gerald and Ali, the proprietors of Avalon Farm, proved to be the best possible hosts for our group, which included young children and young adults, as well as middle-aged and older family members. We all quickly felt as if we had been adopted by Gerald and Ali. They brought in additional staff, all extremely amiable, to deal with our numbers, and delicious, hearty breakfasts were always served without any waiting on the part of the hungry guests. As members of our party drifted in during the afternoon, they were all offered tea, a delicious reminder that we were in England. All of our group wholeheartedly recommend Avalon Farm, and look forward to the possibility of returning there some day.
