In summer it is bustling with people who have come to go to the beach, relax in the park or go for a nice walk, run or bike ride. It is a great place to run because the path is right along the lake so you're treated to nice views and due to its size you can cover a decent distance for your workout. They still have the Ogopogo (the mythical creature who lives in the lake statue and the fountain with the dolphins. Let me tell you that these have been there a LONG time (at least since I was a child). They add a nice little touch to the park. Also since my most recent visit was in December the city has set up an outdoor skating rink which looked like a lot of fun. Bring a book and relax in the shades, or bring your fishing pole and try your luck. For me, I bring Daisy to enjoy the grounds, and she also likes to have a dip in the cool lake water. Also, a great place for an impromptu picnic with friends and family. Remember to respect the nature, take away whatever you bring, and don't leave any garbage that spoils the park for all to enjoy!!

Across the street were condos and houses so not a lot of other things around. Parking is paid. What we liked was that the beach was very close by to the parking with a little green space. We saw lots of people set up blankets on the beach or grass. We found a nice spot under a tree and were able to get shade for a bit before the sun moved onto us. We did bring an umbrella so that was good. The beach was clean and the water was warmish and very shallow for quite a ways. Out of our time here, the kids spent the most time in the water and even tried to build some sand castles. There is also a beach rental where you can rent paddleboards and paddle boats. The only issue I had was the washrooms were disgusting; doesn't look like it gets cleaned very often and there was no place to change like on other beaches.

Sand is pretty soft for lake base beach and great views of the lake and Kelowna surrounding area. One of the free limited parking areas on lakeshore and fills up fast. Beach bums rejoice can't go wrong here as long as you come prepare.

Our two boys had a blast riding their bikes and playing at the park. The park attendants were incredible. Friendly. Efficient. The park is quiet and clean. Can't wait to go back next year.

The park has signs saying "no dogs allowed" (possibly just on the deck?), but I saw plenty of people with their dogs along the shore. There are also benches where you can sit, relax, and take in the view and breeze. There's a zipline deck that looks like a lot of fun, especially in the summer! I'm not exactly sure what you hold onto while ziplining, but it seems like a great little thrill before splashing into the water. Just a heads-up--the jumping deck isn't connected to the main deck, so you'll have to swim to it. Be prepared to get wet before ziplining!

Looks like many condos are situated along the park. Must be nice to live in those condos and having the opportunities to enjoy the park at the same time.

The neat little feature about this park is that there is a canal that also lines the neighbouring condos. There's a nice little beach, though the sand was quite clumpy. Along the shoreline is also a nice walking and biking path. The front of the park has a large dolphin fountain, though it does look a bit out of place. Last time I checked, Okanagan Lake doesn't have dolphins. Maybe just an Ogopogo.

This park on the outskirts of Kelowna was a great place to meet up for our family reunion. The…read morereunion was over a few days and we went somewhere different each day, but the setup of this park was ideal. There were about 60 of us at the reunion and we rented one of the gazebos for the day. It was a large size and just off to the right of the park was a small slope that led to a good sized beach area that had a buoyed area for swimmers where boats or water crafts weren't allowed. The view was quite stunning from there as well. We were greeted by a bunch of Canada geese and a deer which made the Great Canadian reunion even more festive for us! I have only two qualms about our time here. It's a bit tricky to find the entrance of the park, and the gazebo had a couple of toilets nearby, but by 4:00 PM, they stunk pretty badly and it was better to walk a few minutes to the bathrooms which were very large, and very clean. Otherwise, even if we didn't come for a reunion, it would be nice to come to this park on a hot summer day.
