I ended up staying after the manager went to lengths to make up for that incident and over the last year continued to go out of his way to make sure my experience has been good. (After a few months the staff member I had an issue with was also no longer there.) Initially I just deleted the negative review, but just had a few minutes and was thinking about the effort Colin put in and his consistently really positive friendly attitude and decided he deserves an equally positive review. Thanks Colin, you're a great manager and they're lucky to have you.

I was *super* impressed with the Y…read more I hadn't been to a Y in ages, and remember them to be gross and dirty and small and smelly and dark and just generally a place where I don't want to spend time, let alone do a thing I dislike doing (spending time in a gym). But! This Y was so great! Because: 1. the front counter staff were super nice and helpful 2. the bathrooms were beautiful and clean and bright and had those big rainfall showerheads 3. the pool lanes were pretty empty, so I didn't have to feel bad when people passed me 4. the cardio equipment was so very new, there were individual tvs and *internet* on the exercise bikes 5. the weight equipment was so easy to understand and adjust 6. there were so many machines, so no waiting! 7. the work out area was bright and light and airy and 8. parking was super easy, even though I went in the early evening 9. there were two different classes going on included in admission (zumba and spin), though I didn't try them. The only downside was the small sauna - it filled up pretty quickly. And I prefer steam rooms, which they didn't have. Oh well. If I lived in Kelowna, I would totally sign up for the Y. Spending time in the gym was actually a pleasant experience.
