At a later date I went for a consult, expecting a professional service. Instead I discovered a red flag parade and a betrayal at the deepest level. No chef certificate or professional culinary training. No hands-on weight training certification. Maybe a couple small pieces of equipment to be seen in her basement gym. She had some vague talk about an online course for her training. She wanted $10,000 for a 6 month "personalized" program, yet offered no substance of what that would be. She brushed off the cost by saying, "The women I deal with around here have lots of money, so it's not a thing for them." Seriously?!! But here's where things crossed the line completely. She extracted personal information -- which I answered in good faith -- and told her in tears that I'd just separated from my husband of 30+ years, and we were going to try to work it out. TWO WEEKS later, she messaged him on Facebook to ask him out! I now see this was never about helping woman as she claims. It's about helping herself through manipulation, opportunism, and money. The guy at reception said yes. I sat just inside the door and was about to start rolling when a lady steamed out of the office and threw me out for not being a member. Seriously? I had paid for the track and I was using an old tennis ball on the floor to help with an injury. I know rules are rules but both the 'I've had too much coffee' attitude and lack of perspective were ridiculous. The guys at Pinnacle were amazing. Mission fitness have started off on completely the wrong foot and are far from athlete friendly. Avoid like the plague.

There is plenty of room for free weights and has everything I need for equipment. My monthly membership is only $30 a month (I am under 24), and includes classes and access to their indoor track. Insane! I would definitely recommend trying this gym out, especially if you live in the Mission like I do. The convenience of their location really sets them apart for me.

My only issue is their WiFi which keeps cutting in and out for the past 2 years. For a $60/month gym membership fee, I expect consistent WiFi. When I asked the front desk about it, they just shrugged and said it's like that sometimes. I can barely load cbcnews.ca or stream Spotify, and I usually go during nnon-peak hours...so I'm not sure why this occurs so frequently.
