    Souvlaki (pork)

With so many Greek restaurants in Tarpon Springs, it's hard to know which one to pick. We've been to a handful the other ones and recently went to Mykonos for the first time. Service was super fast and friendly, which is pretty much the standard in this awesome little Greek town. I had a souvlaki while my wife had the dolomades. Both were super fresh and tasty and really enjoyed them, it's a tiny little place so be careful when you show up as you may have to wait a few, but it's worth it!

We looked at a few Greek restaurant around and decided that Mykonos meets what we want most. As we enter, the restaurant is cute and quaint but looks like an authentic simple kitchen. Our server lets us choose wherever we want to sit and was very knowledgeable and attentive. When the food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised how delicious it was! The lamb has just a faint smell and very well cooked. We asked for rice and soap. The soup was very refreshing with a fresh lemon/lime taste chicken and arozo The tomatoes sauce that came with the lamb was home made sauce with tons of onions and tomatoes and just goes very well with everything We order another appetizer with shrimp, squid, octopus and that was good too however I feel the seafood could be better if it was slightly grilled and not overly grilled. But overall A+

Greek salad! No onions, no potato salad. I chose iceberg lettuce. Do fresh and filling!!! July 2025

Filoxenia-a Greek word and cherished character trait-meaning from stranger to friend, kinship, hospitality. That's what the owners of Mykonos built their business on-and it shows. You get the homey, family feels the minute you walk in. It's as cozy and soft as the complimentary bread. No wonder this cute and quaint restaurant, right on the main drag at the Sponge Docks has thrived for almost 35 years. (It opened in 1991). I've been there before with friends-years and years ago. I've been meaning to go back ever since. A Saturday in July was finally the day! I got there just before the lunch crowd, which was great. I was seated by a window with a good view of the restaurant. I got to watch other people get their saganaki (flaming cheese!) before and after I did. Opa!!! Of course I ordered that-and a Greek salad (no potato salad, no onions). The cheese was so tasty and grilled to perfection. It stayed warm a good long time on the griddle pan. So good-and the presentation was spectacular. The salad didn't come with a show-but it's a showstopper and so big! The lettuce was so fresh-the feta, so yummy! I wish there'd been a few more Kalamata olives, but admittedly, I can never get enough of those. I so wanted to try an entry, but I was too full. I did manage to try a Greek white wine... moschofilero... and really liked it. (both glasses!) This place is so clean, with staff waiting to take empty plates. They never rush you-you always feel so welcome and at home. They have their own parking lot for customers, right next door. Their menu is big and varied. Prices are fair. My server was hilarious. And the family feel extends to all the family photos on the wall. This place is super popular and busy-and can get very crowded. But it's worth the wait!! I will come back again and again-for heaping helpings of delicious food, served with love. (I'm starting to get poetic-you know it was good!)

I love this place and today I found out that they had the vegetarian stuffed tomato and pepper that I could order. Excellent service, friendly, always polite, home-cooked food. Opa!

While visiting Tarpon Springs, we stopped at Mykonos for a late lunch. We were so glad we did! Great food and service! The restaurant sits on the main street and it has parking, a plus in this area! It is decorated in nautical theme with various size tables throughout the open dining area. We sat ourselves and the waitress immediately offered us menus while asking us for drink orders. We asked for a bottle of water for the table to start. After carefully reviewing the menu, we ordered Saganaki as appetizer, my husband ordered the Gyro platter while I chose the Grilled Octopus. We accompanied these dishes with Greek beer and wine. Oh my! What a meal! The flaming cheese was delish! The octopus grilled to perfection! We were very satisfied! Awesome food at Mykonos! Not to be missed if you are ever in the area!

Brought my friends to the Sponge Docks before driving them back to the airport. We spotted this charming place right on the main road. We ordered gyro's, chicken souvlaki, and saganaki. Everything was very tasty, the tzatziki sauce was perfect! The waitress was very nice and attentive.

Happy to enjoy a delicious Greek dinner in Mykonos in Tarpon Springs. Greek friends recommended this traditional authentic restaurant. We found parking on the street as there wasn't a lot. Mykonos was casual & everyone seemed to know each other. The restaurant was loud, Greek not English was widely spoken. We started by sharing a pikilia appetizer, which is three different spreads with Pita. Included were tarmosalata, tzatziki, & a tieosalata feta spread. We shared a la Youvetsi which is a boneless lamb shank with orzo baked and tomato sauce. Our meals just melted in my mouth. Dinner was exceptional, portions were generous, and our meal was shockingly inexpensive.

Authentic Greek food and experience!! We all loved each of our dishes!!! Will be back again.

Decent Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs. The gyro sandwich was good and I really enjoyed the pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The meat itself wasn't as flavorful as I expected. The Greek potatoes were not greek-style like it described but more like a french fries with dry herbs on top. Overall it's still a solid option if you're in the area. The service was attentive, especially busser.

Located in Tarpon Springs along a strip of small local shops, this place is a gem! Off the top, what u like is that they offer you bread as a complimentary appetizer. The bead is tasty and is a good start to the experience. The entrees come with a choice of soup or salad, as well as either vegetables or rice. The portions are quite ample, even for a hearty appetite. You get an incredible value for money with the portions provided, along with the taste of the food. I had the pastitsio, which was delicious. The bechamel and the beef were great. The mousakka is great as well, which also uses the same sauce. The service was great. Friendly server and prompt attention given. So five stars there. Overall, this is a good little Greek spot in Tarpon Springs to try. I recommend them!

A Taste of Greece in the Heart of Tarpon Springs! Mykonos never disappoints, but our recent visit was truly exceptional. We ordered the yellowtail fish of the day and the gyro platter and both were absolutely phenomenal. The yellowtail was grilled to perfection: fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor. Our amazing server, who we now lovingly refer to as Mama, not only recommended the perfect wine to pair with it (seriously, spot on), but also went the extra mile to help me filet the fish for me as I've never done it. It was like watching a master at work. The gyro platter was equally memorable; tender, seasoned meat with all the traditional fixings, with pillowy pita and served with generous portions of tzatziki, and we chose the French fries that I enjoyed dipping in the tangy tzatziki. Every bite took us straight to a seaside taverna in Greece. Warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious--Mykonos is a gem!!!

Turned down a random side road and found this restaurant - so very glad that I decided to stop here for lunch! Fortunately they had a parking lot, small and very tight, but it worked. Lots of seating indoors and some outdoors as well. I choose the indoor seating since the outside seating is very close to the road. A very big menu, enough choices to satisfy everyone. We got an open face gyro platter with oven roasted potatoes, salad, and chicken soup. The food was delicious. I would certainly order our meals again. I have to tell you that the portions are huge! And that's a good thing because I like to eat a lot, you just need to be aware of the large portions if you're ordering appetizers etc with a meal. A couple at the table next to us had ordered a fried calamari appetizer and it looked so beautiful - lightly breaded and fried to a delicious golden color. I was honestly wishing I could try their calamari, LOL. But the portions are incredibly huge, the other table ended taking a lot offood home with them when they left. My husband wanted a beer and asked for "one of the Greek beers" as there weren't any descriptions or options on the menu. Our server wrote it down and went on their way. My husband then commented that they must only have one Greek beer, because he wasn't given any options; the menu didn't list any specific beers either. After our drinks arrived I noticed our server smoking a cigarette outside on the sidewalk right outside the restaurant and right next to other dining tables. This was unsettling, and I kind of didn't want them handling our food after that. However, our food arrived promptly and was very good. I was surprised to find potato salad in my Greek salad, but it worked! The gyros were delicious as well and the pita bread was great. At one point we wanted more tzatziki sauce but our server was no where to be found. After a while they finally stopped by and we were able to ask for more sauce and our check. All together it was not the best experience. The food was very good but it was the experience that will keep us away. I find it unacceptable to have employees smoking out front of the restaurant, ESPECIALLY when it is in the outdoor dinning area. I am sure there is an area behind the restaurant that they can smoke if they need to. If I would have seen then when looking for a restaurant, I would have kept on walking.
