New to the area and met with Dr Mangat. She's very nice and personable and my contact and glasses prescription she gave me were perfect and both arrive in less than a week. Everyone there was nice....except for one complete jackass. This guy is one of the people that "helps" you with your glasses. Very rude. The office called me on a Thursday to confirm appt. I returned call on Fri morning. I was told I did not have an appt. They cancelled my appt. 5 days prior to appt because I did not confirm online. I confirmed 4 days prior but they said the computer automatically does it. Mind you I waited 4 months for my appt. took the morning off work, and they could not fit me back in. After consulting with Patient relations, he rudely said it was my fault for not answering the phone on Thursday. This office lost 5 family members business. Moved here from Savannah and transferred to this office on recommendation. My recommendation is to choose an office that cares about their customers, wants my business, and allows confirmations within at least 2 days prior to appointment. read more

My first trip. I was hesitant as this was the first time I'd used a"chain" to purchase eyewear. I needed new contacts, exam, etc. I was welcomed and seen quickly, measured and fitted with contacts and had a trial pair. They didn't work well and I made a follow up appt. Dr Katie Boeskool was attentive and took appropriate time to figure out what worked best. I was thrilled with the final outcome and certainly will continue to use them for my eye needs. read more

I cannot believe this company. Told me I had to cancel one of my appointments since no more than two family members could be seen. I asked why and the employee stated "well if you are in a car accident and cannot make it we have one and a half hour for appointments not being used". I was so angry so they are not caring that we might be dead on the side of the road, just that it might take away from them making money. So that is why they rather we make two trip's so we have double the chance. I realize that I am angry but why would you tell your patients that? had scheduled an appointment online, confirmed appointment had got a call telling me I had to call within a certain amount of time or they were going to cancel my appointment bear in mind I called when I got a chance since I work m thru f til 5 gave them my ins info on a message machine and then still canceled my appt. I had never had problems before 2 yrs ago. thought I would give them a chance but even when I called during lunch got an answer machine. Setting up an appt should allow you to go into the office and provide ins information at the time of your appt even when they list your ins on their website. every other Drs office allows you to do this without canceling an appt to me this is wrong not every one can make phone calls at work. Also, when you leave your info they are asking you to provide on an answering maching with your number. to me this is wrong to cancel an appt. then don't have an online schediling service. read more

I would highly recommend AGAINST seeing Dr. Anthony Weaver. I have moved to the area and was transferring my care from My Eye Doctor to this location so they would have all my records. The Friday before my appointment (the next business day) I was informed via email that they had scheduled me for a dilated eye exam which was not what I had scheduled. I responded to that email stating that I was not going to be dilating my eyes. I received the response that it is up to the doctors discretion. Not only is this a violation of informed consent - where a doctor is required to explain the risks and benefits of a procedure - if he would have looked at my transferred records I had previously had alternatives done to check the status of my retina due to a health condition that does not lend itself to dilation (i.e. I will not die if I dilate my eyes, but I will be incapacitated for 3+ days). Further, requiring dilation for a prescription check is not the standard of care for anyone under 60. But it is an additional charge to your insurance if they do it. When I arrived at the office, I was told by the technician (non-medical) who took me to the room that I would be having my eyes dilated. It was clear she was aware of my previous email to the office about the same and started off rude and hostile (upon reading other reviews, this sounds like the norm). I stated I wanted to talk to the doctor about dilation and we could decide together. She then told me the doctor was not there (now 15 minutes past my appointment time) and became quite combative telling me that HE would make the decision. Again, no, we will discuss it and if the pros outweigh the cons, I will definitely consider it. She left and sent the non-medical professional office manager to come in to once again tell me that the doctor demanded that I have my eyes dilated. When I asked if I could talk to the doctor, the office manager stated the doctor was still not there, but he had talked to him and doctor said he would not see me without dilation. At no point did the doctor speak to me, assess me for any conditions that would require dilation or discuss the options with me. To demand a medical procedure without even seeing me or reviewing my records (which I pointed to on the screen with the office manager) is highly unprofessional and violates the American Board of Optometry standards. I spent 12 years representing doctors, including Optometrists, in medical malpractice actions, so I do not take this review lightly, but I would run, not walk away from an office that so clearly thinks they are above national standards and only interested in increased billing. I have no experience with the other doctors in the practice, however, the staff was truly abhorrent. read more

My recent appt there was really bad and frustrating. Many of the employees were new and this just added to the difficult time I had there. The doctor was the only one who was knowledge and could get the job done. The general staff was not timely, friendly or clear with their comments and thoughts. I've been coming here since 1992, when it was Coastal Vision Center, located by the old Walmart. Ever since 1992, I have never had anything less than the best service I've had period. In any category. The staff is ALWAYS helpful. No matter what optometrist they have, they're ALWAYS kind and willing to explain your eyesight issues and their findings in depth. The sales staff are barely sales staff. They're consultants, and they're really interested in helping you get the frames you want. They aren't trying to push frames or services you don't want or need. What they will do is try to find out your situations/needs/uses and explain products that can improve that (i.e. transitions, bifocals, coatings, etc). I will never, ever go anywhere else for my glasses. If I leave this area, I will fly back for eye exams and frames. read more

This was the best and most fast eye apt I have ever had. My apt was at 11:20, I got there about 15 mins early. I sat for maybe 2 mins before being called back. Dr. B came in and was very professional and to the point. I ordered my glasses and was out by 11:40. The lady who checked me out helped me pick a style and walked me through the options. 10/10 recommend and will be going back! read more

The St Mary's location has pleasant front end staff and caring, friendly, helpful Opticians. They offer a great selection of frames. My glasses always arrive with the correct prescription (yes I have had issues with this at other franchises). I went to MyEyeDr. For the first time due to my regular optician( over 5 years) being booked and I was leaving for a trip that week and needed to order new lenses and use a trial pair until they came . The new Eye Doctor changed my prescription and told me to try out the new rx for awhile and she would see my again to confirm my new rx. I wore my trial lenses for 2 weeks and immediately upon wearing them I noticed the vision in my left eye was worsening and I couldn't really see far off and that was unusual with new lenses . The lenses also made me feel like I was standing up on something and looking down when I first put them in . I've always had 2 Different Rxs for my prescription up until 2017 when I was pregnant and my eyesight had gotten a little better and I had the same rx in both eyes, but nonetheless after I had my daughter it went back to my regular numbers but still the same rx. Previous to my appointment my eyes were already dry from overuse of the contacts since I was on the road and very busy the weeks before and I let the Doctor know that at the visit, She ended up prescribing me contacts for people with astigmatisms, which was the correcting lenses and then informed me that I couldn't get color Contact lenses anymore because they don't make them for those lenses , which at first I was disappointed but the more I thought about it that would be fine if it will help me see much better ! If I have to sacrifice my color lenses for clarity then ok so be it but if I'm giving up my color lenses I at least need my prescription to be correct ! I advised the assistant at my follow up appointment , when I first arrived, that my eyesight on the left side was not as sharp as it could and should've been and she noted it on the computer before going into the next room with the eye doctor , I also alerted the Doctor about my concerns at the beginning of the visit and she just said that eyes sometimes see different and it's normal , but I strongly disagree when I've been having my eyesight corrected and fitted properly since I've been wearing glasses and contacts. Again after coming to the front I let the eyeglass salesman know about my concerns and he alerted the Doctor and she stuck to what she said before and stated she believed this was the best option for me . First off how can you tell me what my eyes are seeing if I'm complaining and telling you that what you're recommending is not right ? I am not a child and don't have to be told what is right from wrong ! Oh did I also mention that I had to squint really hard to read the board of letters and never saw any of the lines clearly at all like I've done before at my regular Eye Doctors visits , I mean they were all blurry and I struggled to call out the words and they called that 20/20 vision ? How ? Just how ? My previous exams I could see the lines crisp and clear with not squinting ! I know my eyes and this New prescription is not at all correct ! You can have the color lenses just give me the right prescription ! Now I will have to pay out of pocket even more ($130 last time ) and I'm not sure of how much it would cost to go back to my regular provider since I already used the exam benefits for this year , to get a proper exam and get my right prescription. I am highly dissatisfied and don't recommend this place to anyone ! A doctor that doesn't listen to concerns of their patients have no place in medicine ! I put my old contacts back in and can see perfectly . I'm making an appointment to my regular eye doctor now ! I heard if plenty horror stories after I started speaking out about mine ! I do not recommend this place to anyone !!!! Run !!!! Update ! I made an appt with my regular Eye Doctor and got my correct rx ! my eyes are back to normal and I can see !!!! read more

To say I am disappointed with my experience at MyEyeDr in Kingsland would be an understatement. I have waited a week to write this review because I wanted to write the review with a clear head and give myself time to think about my experience. I went to MyEyeDr because they got me in quickly. I had broken my glasses and needed an appointment ASAP. The front desk staff and nurse were very kind and personable. The doctor was okay. It wasn't a bad experience with the doctor, but he was not very personable. I was looking for some reassurance and further explanation about a condition with my eyes, and he didn't offer much information. But that wasn't a huge deal to me. I just needed an eye exam, which he provided. After my exam, I picked out my glasses, and purchased them with a guaranteed arrival within 10 days. At day 7 and 9, I called just to confirm that my glasses would be there on the 10th day. I was assured of this arrival date at the latest. I was without glasses, so I really needed them. On the afternoon of day 10, I received a phone call that my glasses would not be ready for another week! They said there was a delay with the frames. How did they not know about this delay the previous two times I called?? I explained my predicament of being without glasses. They said that they could try to have my glasses ready within 3 days. Well they called me a few days later to say that my glasses were ready. When I get there, the glasses they ordered WERE THE WRONG GLASSES! They were this hideous purple color and definitely not the ones I ordered. I showed her a picture I had taken wearing the ones I ordered. Well she goes to the cabinet under the glasses display and pulls out the exact frames I ordered. She takes them back and has the lenses put in those frames. I was concerned that these frames had been tried on by hundreds of people, however she said that they hadn't?? Apparently they were new frames they keep on hand?? Honestly I don't believe that at all. The frames are so crooked on my face and the tension on each "arm" of the frame is uneven, like they've been handled before. I'm probably going to have to go purchase another pair of glasses somewhere else because these are so crooked on my face. So not only did I have to wait 2 weeks to receive my glasses, but apparently a "new" set of the exact frames I ordered were sitting in their cabinets since the day I had my appointment. I asked for a discount or something to compensate for this horrible experience, and I was given nothing. I did not even receive an apology!! I try to be understanding, but this was ridiculous. Stay away from MyEyeDr in Kingsland if you are looking for good customer service! read more

what a rip-off! My exam revealed that there was no change in my prescription. They acted shocked when I opted out of buying new glasses that would have been unnecessary. At that point the exam became a medical treatment. I pay extra for top level eye insurance because it covers the exam. Now because it's a medical exam they bill my health insurance and force me to pay a $40.00 co-pay! I will never return to the Eye Doctor at any of their locations! read more
