I've been to this studio a couple of times - once for a Zumba class I saw on meetup, and yesterday for a ballet class with Veronika. It's a small space in the dodgy part of portobello, right next to the food co-op. You enter the building and go up one flight of stairs, and to my knowledge there's only one studio. It's a strange space, with a long narrow room and not exactly suited to Zumba sized crowds, but I LOVED my experience at ballet last night.
Veronika is great, really detail oriented and focused on getting everyone to learn with proper technique. I wish she was around when I was learning ballet the first time around! The class is 85% barre work, with the other 15% across the floor (ie jetes, Shanay turns) and a brief floor combo at the end. I thought it was suitable for beginners and improvers, and at €15 for 90 minutes I think you really get your money's worth. Veronika is strict (as you would hope with a ballet teacher) but keeps class fun and is really encouraging. Found my new Wednesday night spot :) read more
