5+ Stars. Our Schwintek kitchen slide quit working and I contacted My RV Works while we were in Sequim, Wa. Darren diagnosed the issue and ordered the repair parts from Lippert. However, Lippert shipped the wrong parts. Long story short, Lippert shipped the wrong parts 2-more times. In the mean time, we had reservations in a town 3-hours south of Sequim and had to vacant the Sequim RV park. When Lippert finally shipped the correct parts Darren traveled 3-hrs to our next destination to make the repair. My RV Works went above and beyond to complete the repair. We were basically dead in the water so to speak. I contacted him on a Saturday afternoon and explained to him that if I couldn't get my electrical problem resolved before Monday morning when we had to catch the ferry to BC, we would have to cancel that part of the trip. He told me "don't worry, I'll get you taken care of." We were 15 days into a 30 day trip. He came to us in our campground to fix our problem on Sunday around noon. He did a few tests and narrowed down the problem. He had it fixed in under 30 minutes. The whole time explaining the problem and how to fix it. Showing me the tests he was performing. What he did next was great. We agreed at the beginning that I would pay for an hour of his time. After the repair was complete, he spent the next 30 minutes answering questions I had about proper tank maintenance, battery maintenance, slide out maintenance, etc. He basically asked me what I wanted to know and then educated me on it. What he did next was out of this world amazing. He met my teenage boys and asked them what they were studying in school. My oldest said he was interested in engineering. OMG. Darren is an engineer with many years of experience. He spent almost an hour talking to my boys about engineering stuff that was way over my head but my kids seemed to understand. He gave them some ideas about what to focus on in high school and college and related it to real world problems. My boys soaked it up like a sponge. He did that on his time. I didn't pay for that. He does charge a premium price for his service, but I expected it would have cost more since he came to me in the campground and fixed my problem on the spot, on a Sunday, and he did not mark up the price for the parts. I just paid for his labor. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. Great friendly guy, great service, and a reasonable price considering what he did for us. read more

Darren is an awesome guy who does know his stuff and will not BS you. We had an a/c issue and slide out issue. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. My a/c unit was installed incorrectly from the factory,he quickly and efficiently pulled the unit off the roof and repaired the duct work. Darren is the best! He came out to fix a pretty random array of problems with our old RV: entrance door wouldn't close all the way, leaky water outlet valve, hot water heater not working, etc. With the hot water, he noticed that the fix was so simple I could do it myself, and didn't charge us! He went above and beyond with our door, removing old rotting wood and custom-cutting us a brand new piece to replace it. Now our door closes and locks! And the water valve is working perfectly, no more leaks. He did all this in an afternoon, with a friendly vibe, good conversation and reasonable price. Would definitely not use this company. They sent a man to fix our slide and steps yesterday and they did nothing but lecture on the dangers of the covid vaccinatio. We are full time and need our large slide and steps to work. His only suggestion was to get it fixed at the next place we go. We paid the $50 service charge in cash and never received a receipt. This guy is a straight up crook! We were having trouble with out hot water. The first time he came out he couldn't fix it. He said he called the company to figure it out. It worked for a day. We had an appointment for him to come back out, he canceled for another job. By the time it was all said and done he had been out three times and left us without hot water for 3 WEEKS! When we called the last time he said it could be something else, wanted to charge us again, even though he hadn't fixed anything to begin with. He then tells us, he can't help us and gives us the number to the company so we could call ourselves. Call the service rep and found out he had told the rep that we were a problem for him. read more

Darren is certified and very knowledgeable about all areas of RV repair. We had him out to repair our brakes. He showed us the broken wires, explained up front all the charges. He was efficient, professional, honest and reasonable. Not to mention all around good person. About 2 weeks later our landing gear went out. He understood the urgency of getting it replaced so we could get on the road. He came out the same day and spent 5 hours installing the new dual motor system. I got my trailer and rv at deep discounts, and got what I paid for. I went to the rv parts place, and after the third visit, the young lady at the counter gave me Darren's card. He was the best far and wide. He is the only one I know of that does house calls, and while he is very busy, covering a vast area, he also does his very best each time he appears. I almost wish I had a more broken down rv or trailer, so I could give him more business. While replacing my blown up water heater, his wife and I had many conversations about many of the mechanics of living in an rv full time. I had never done this before, as my idea of camping has always only included a full cooler, some coal or wood, a tent, and sleeping bag. I am so grateful that they and their service exist, as I am not interested in taking my home to a shop to have it held up for days or weeks, and it was well worth whatever it cost for the repairs, as I got the free consultation along with being able to say my rv works. If at any time I should require their services again, I will, and I will be happy to pay what they charge, and wait as long as it takes, as I know the value of a good service person, and I'd rather wait and pay for a good one than squander any amount to a so so or bad one. read more

Great job Darren! He quickly and professionally fixed all of the items we needed fixed on our motorhome. Our awning needed tweeking, and he had to replace the turret on our satellite dish on the roof. He is a wealth of knowledge about everything RV, and plus some. I first contacted My RV Works in Texas. I was having problems with the slide out in my Itasca motorhome. A couple of weeks prior I had another mobile rv repairman replace a motor in the slide out but it was still giving me problems. I contacted a RV repair shop. Luckily that RV shop was booked and referred me to Darren. I had had problems with the slideout for a few years and everytime I took it in for repair the error code said it needed a motor and in the 5 years I had owned the motorhome I had replaced 4 slideout motors. I was frustrated when I contacted Darren and asked if he was familiar with slideouts. Darren responded that he was an expert and when I told him that I had replaced several slideout motors and I was still having problems he said "most repair techs think it is always a motor and the motor is seldom the real problem." I made an appointment and Darren came to my location in a State Park. It was obvious from the beginning that Darren was different than the other techs. He started by checking electrical output etc. In the end he diagnosed the problem and fixed it. However, I spend several months a year in Mexico and Darren said the rear rail paint was peeling and the flaking paint was getting into the rollers which could create future issues. He removed the entire assembly and cleaned and oiled the rails etc but on his recommendation I ordered a new rail and rollers from Winnebago. Since it would take about 2 weeks to receive the rail from Winnebago I had the parts shipped to my home in Colorado. I had developed total confidence in Darren and planned to make a special trip back to Texas to have Darren install the new parts but I got lucky when Darren relocated to Bremerton Washington which is where I grew up and still have family. Last week I met with Darren in Bremerton to have him install the parts. Due to rusted parts caused by the Mexico ocean salt Darren encountered several unexpected issues. Bolts and pins were rusted and couldn't be reused etc. Darren's RV trailer had everything he needed including the ability to make a new non standard adjustment screw. I am confident that any other shop would have told me they had to order new adjustment screws etc that could take weeks but Darren had the ability to make from scratch what was needed. . I have read the comments by Melyssa and this is not the Darren that I know. He is a true professional and unlike other RV repairmen that I have worked with Darren takes pride in his work and has the skills and equipment to properly diagnose and correct your problem. read more

We stayed at Rockin' A RV park in Vernon, Texas a couple of weeks ago. It was on a Sunday, and it was HOT! Noticed a man on the roof of a trailer checking out the air conditioning unit. As it turns out, the a/c had failed. The man working on the unit was Darren Koepp, owner of My RV Works. He had brought his wife and children over so he could work on the trailer. He had to drive back to Iowa Park to get a couple of a/c units. He then labored until past 10 p.m. replacing the failed unit and adding another unit where a vent used to be. We watched him work tirelessly, on a Sunday, so the owner of the trailer, a man and his two children, could have much needed a/c.
