I chose the hotel primarily for the location, as it is in the center of Naperville on the river. Aside from location, the hotel has easy and convenient parking in the attached garage, free coffee in the mornings, and some reservations even include breakfast in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean, and there were several items you could purchase in the lobby (snacks, soft drinks, etc...). I was a bit disappointed when we did request housekeeping and they were no longer available (as we requested late in the day), that they did not do the towel refresher and trash removal that we discussed by phone. I do think the biggest downfall of this hotel is the lack of outdoor space. With such a lovely location, there should really be balconies on each room, or perhaps a small terrace off the lobby. When inside the hotel, I still feel somewhat separated from the community. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay next time I'm in town.

The hotel is very charming and Atwater's restaurant looks to be a real gem. Such a wonderful, historic spot in Geneva. Oh and the Toasted was my favorite.

The Oscar Swan provides a unique experience and high value. Nina operates "old school" - pen and paper and no credit cards (she takes checks and cash). This keeps the value high. Her menu options are extensive and this allowed us to design a menu for our party. The location is incredibly beautiful and well maintained. And parking is ample making it easy for all of our guests. She provided silk floral arrangements to match our color scheme that everyone thought were real. Her linens, glassware and other table service are beautiful and add to the charm of the venue. All we had to do is show up!

The owner, Nina, is beyond fabulous. She was so kind, attentive and made us feel at home. Upon arrival we had the place to ourselves and Nina told us to head upstairs and pick out our rooms! EVERY room is beautiful. The decor throughout is curated perfectly for the property. We stayed with another family, kids in tow. The kids had a blast running around the property and playing in the pool. The gardens are gorgeous. The front lawn is bigger than a football field - perfect for frisbee! We woke up in the morning to a table set outside and the BEST breakfast spread you could ask for. Pancakes, amazing eggs, toast, banana bread, potatoes, fruit, and perfectly cooked bacon. I can't emphasize enough how gorgeous the setting is, how at home we felt and just all around grateful and happy we were to be there. We had a quick peek at the event space - it's fabulous!!! If I lived in town again and one of my kids were old enough to get married, I wouldn't consider hosting anywhere else!! It's a true time warp in the best possible way. It was all arranged nicely and the view from the room was fantastic! The entire hotel only has 6 rooms so it was extremely nice and quiet. Check-in was easy and staff was nice. Breakfast was either brought to your room or eaten in the lounge. It was ordered the day before and brought to you in the morning, very nice. Our older daughter thought it was "fancy" and wants to come back. It was an extremely pleasant stay and we will be back!

We were able to gather in the lounge and go at our own pace. We stay here every time we return to the area. The rooms (recently updated) have always been big, very well appointed and pristine. It's incredibly quiet and parking is right there and always available. The best part is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The last time we came, they took great pains to help us get a (very hard) reservation at the student-run restaurant in the same building. They are also very knowledgeable about the area. The really good breakfasts are served at whatever time you want, either directly to your room or in the very nice lounge right next to the rooms. Why stay at a much more expensive and impersonal hotel when you can have a relaxed and quiet visit and save a bunch of money at the same time?

They had multiple staff to help with high numbers of guests. 2. the grounds were lovely, well equipped with activities like tennis, volleyball, and easy access to the Fox River Trail. 3. The staterooms in the Qtower were comfortable. I had a nice room overlooking the courtyard area with the adirondack chairs and firepits. The room had an extra pillow and blanket which I most definitely used because you had to have the AC on while the Chicago area was experienes 95+ temp days. My particular room was on the 5th floor and nice and quiet. Small but still plenty of room for a single traveler. 4. The dinner in the Fox Ballroom was great! 5. Snack stations were provided during the conference and the choices were very nice. 6. Dining in the Q dining are was good too especially for cafeteria-style options. Breakfast in particular was good - they had chia pudding! 7. Plenty of spaces around the conference areas to work with colleagues was very nice. 8. Options for workingout whether it was the class offerings or the fitness center itself - you will not be disappointed. Overall a great stay and I would be happy to return!

The free breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare -- dense hard-boiled eggs, powdered eggs, runny/mushy oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, and an automated pancake maker. The coffee was nothing special, although the grounds in the bottom of my cup were an added bonus I could have done without. The biggest issue, and the reason for the lower rating, was the smell in our room. There was a very strong, strange odor that I can only describe as a dirty, earthy, sour smell. It was noticeable throughout our stay, but I didn't realize how much it had permeated everything until I got home. My suitcase now smells like the room. My clothes smell like the room. Even my CPAP equipment absorbed the odor. When I tried to use my CPAP at home last night, the air coming through it smelled so much like the hotel room that I couldn't use it. At this point, I'm genuinely wondering if there may have been a moisture or mold issue in the room. I obviously can't say that's what it was, but whatever caused the odor was strong enough to permeate our belongings and follow us home. Without the smell, this would have been a perfectly acceptable, basic hotel stay. Unfortunately, having to clean and air out our luggage, clothes, and CPAP equipment after getting home made it a much different experience.

Reception was welcoming. Complimentary hot coffee, teas and cocoa are a 24/7 treat in the lobby. Our first floor room was immaculate. Perfect for a live-out-of-your-suitcase stay as storage space is nil. Note: there is a small refrigerator, iron and ironing board available. Plenty of outlets for electronic devices too! The walls are a little thin and hall noises were heard. The HVAC fan is especially noisy. Shower pressure is good, but we had to dial it to HOT HOT to get it warm enough for comfort. Multi-use soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion dispensers are a thing here. Just make sure they're all filled and working before use. The bargain price point for the quality of this property makes it a BEST VALUE stay, imo!
