April 27th 2025 630am…read more This is one of four British airways lounges at Heathrow airport. This was the nearest lounge to our gate for the flight to New York City. We were flying business class and were able to use our tickets to enter the lounge. Breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs over easy eggs breakfast links bacon hard boiled eggs potato crust tomatoes sliced fruit croissants pastries various processed lunch meats including sliced ham pastrami and sliced beef. Also mushrooms and tomatoes. Orange juice and other fruit juices available. This is a very large lounge able to accommodate several hundred passengers. Besides restrooms there are showers available. The breakfast buffet was identical to the breakfast buffet at our Hilton West end hotel leading me to believe they have the same caterers.

I had a morning flight so I didn't eat anything and was ready for breakfast. A good selection of eggs, sausages, bacon, hashed browns and of course - baked beans. The toast were cold so I didn't have any. A nice selection of fruits - grapes, cantaloupe, watermelons and honeydews. Champagne, sodas, coffee and tea. I was traveling alone so I didn't really get to explore the entire lounge. I came for the food and tea and went to do some shopping before boarding. A ton of staff clearing finished plates and replenishing quickly. Shower is available.

This is one of my favorite airport lounges. I've been twice now…read more The first time I visited, I told them it was my first time and they gave a little tour. The spa gives some complimentary services but you can pay for longer services. It's table service so you choose a place to sit and they come to you to take your order. The menu is extensive. I've tried things from both the breakfast and lunch menus. The drink menu is also extensive. This is the first time I also tried a cocktail with Seedlip, the non-alcoholic cocktail mix, and I didn't dislike it. The staff are so friendly and helpful at this spacious lounge too. Their cheerfulness is impressive. I can't figure out the sink in the bathroom. The bathrooms are individual rooms with their own sink. The soap products smell so great. The sink is very shallow and I found it challenging to keep the water in it. Everything else is almost perfect.

This VA Clubhouse was the better of the two I have visited (the other was Heathrow) because it was not as frantically busy. It was wonderfully laid back with great staff and plenty of space. I appreciated the table service concept. The Breakfast Burrito came recommended by my server and was outstanding. I woukd have to say that this is the perfect place to relax before undertaking a long flight.

This airport never fails to amaze me, as this is my nearest airport I go here quite frequently, you…read morewill always find seats no matter what time of year as both terminals are massive. The walk to the gates isn't that long compared to Stansted, the passport control queues are mostly good but in summer they can be pain, getting out of the airport is so easy, you can take the local bus (MetroBus) towards Crawley, or you can take the National Express bus towards London or the train, The only bad things are the amount of delays they are, and the £10 drop-off charge, otherwise staff are so nice and friendly.

We took a direct Norse flight from Los Angeles Airport (LAX) into London Gatwick Airport (LGW)…read more They are a secondary hub for British Airways and one of the largest operating bases for budget flights. My experience with this airline is only as an arrival, as I travelled through other parts of Europe by train and by air. The arrival was quite smooth as far as international travel is concerned. We were able to get through customs quickly. However sadly no stamp on the passport for the international travel. Restrooms had abundant stalls but there were really busy. The handwashing stations were individually in each stall. I had a decent experience in the women's stalls where I was comfortable enough to brush my teeth and wash my face. However my boyfriend mentioned that the men's side was really gross, not clean enough to clean up and reset after the long flight. My favorite thing about this airport is that it is connected to a train system that will take you into central London or whichever surrounding area you need to get to. Navigating was pretty simple. A quick and convenient arrival. I would consider flying back into this airport in the future.
