They do nothing but support and coach you in a manner that is consistent with your goals. The group classes are tons of fun and they pair you with folks that are on a similar level which takes a ton of stress out of it. It definitely is a bit pricy but the price tag has been worth it so far. Every worker is amazing. They have tons of great energy and seem genuinely interested in your progress. They do nothing but support you through your dance journey!

I'd…read moremention what we experienced while attending this studio for over 16+ hours a week over the course of 3 years with 2 students. When daughter hurt her foot, she was advised to wear a boot from ortho until day of show to rest her foot, she was yelled at for moving "too slowing" when marking in tech even though the doctor instructed her to take it easy and walk slowly to rest before recital. Charging extra for adult costumes are normal bc it's more expensive from vendors but I was charged $5 for all of the costumes when my dancer had many child XLs. When questioned, office manager said it's not very much money. But my child was in over 13 dances so it adds up. Rule is rule right? Technique is lacking for older more advanced children. The classes are merged or canceled due to lower numbers. No real substitute teaching staff, when someone is out, the replacement is not well versed in the style of dance or not qualified to teach at that caliber. Maybe it's different now bc they have better teachers. All kinds of food are allowed in the studio rooms only for pre pro children. No regards to allergies as those are the same floor dancers roll on for contemporary, stretching or conditioning. My dancer rolled over cheese and crumbs weekly. One particular night, my dancer's friend had a medium allergic reaction to tree nut found on the floor. They did not have Benadryl on hand, so mom had to rush over to administer meds. This dancer also stayed home for a few days bc the allergic reaction was intense but no studio follow up after the incident. Balanchine based conservatory ballet school only has 1 1 hour technique class a week. Seems they have changed it to 1.5 hours for 2 days now. Rep and company class does not replace technique. In these classes, they are learning new choreo. Also pointe is normally offered right after technique, last year it was after lyrical, which is an elective. Only 1 1 hour pointe class a week for a 12 year old is not enough for a conservatory based dance school. No viewing the entire year at studio, handbook said once a quarter, but it's since been removed. Spent entire year having only seen my dancer at paid events like the fox theater, Busch stadium, and ambush where tickets are pricy. Dancer enjoyed community outreach, when we first joined the studio, company members danced in front of nursing homes and local parades. Didn't happen at all last year. Why can't you see your kids dance in the studio? On website, it says, "Instructors hail from prominent companies such as Joffrey Ballet, ABT, SAB, Alabama Ballet, Big Muddy Dance Co, and Ballet 314", but bio of teachers doesn't have anyone who has danced at Joffrey Ballet, ABT, SAB or Alabama Ballet.

The room is spacious with good mirror placement. Great lighting and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Benton Park studio is small, but very pretty. The mirrors are gorgeous but they are a bunch of actual house mirrors put together as opposed to a fitness studio full length mirror so it's a little more difficult to see your reflection. Great lighting though. Classes are casual but informative. Good attention paid to students of varying levels. I prefer a slightly more formal structure, but it's friendly. I hope they can open a larger studio closer to the city!

I signed my daughter up for this school back in November last year and had a horrific experience…read morethat no parent should ever have happened to their African Americans child my daughter was the only black child their besides one who was mixed in the toddler class and my daughter didn't get treated as if she was wanted their she was pushed down by other students and bullied by the staff and they lied claiming that certain girls didn't push my daughter but they pushed other students but besides the point it happened more than once and it was not documented and they don't fill out incident reports so if your child gets a broken bone you will not know and the favoritism they should to European clients over their black clients should not exist. I get tired of these companies being wicked God sees everything if you don't want blacks at your establishment make it know don't be sneaky about it because your intentions show and your clients with discernment can see it. I really was upset when the instructor made it clear she didn't want my daughter at the school by bringing my daughter out of the class before the class was over showing me she didn't care if my daughter ever came back. God I hope that one day we will stop getting discriminated against and racism stops I hate it. it's ugly and this instructor can't lie about this incident because it was recorded. Last but not least they don't answer their phones like they should that isn't good because if an emergency happens too bad. They don't allow parents to keep an eye out on their child claiming because of Covid-19. Covid is a common cold and has been around longer than we as humans have been around but if you have no medical background you think the world is ending people have no discernment at all about what's going on in our government it's propaganda and our government wants blacks dead they want to kill us off with this crazy Covid-19 push and companies are falling for it. They took everything from our ancestors and now they want to take the littlebit we do have our life and liberty and pursuit of happiness. How shameful of companies to know the truth but do things become of money. We know why Covid-19 is around because Native Americans or Blacks are waking up and the government knows this and they know we want our land back so they rather cause war or false flag and destroy our country instead of giving us our country back. We have been getting Robbed of everything by our European citizens and spit on and I'm fed up with it the foolishness. I have had enough of the discrimination it's ugly God didn't create didn't race their is no such thing but since our government says it is people go along with it knowing it's causing division one more propaganda schemes. God only created two human being that was Adam and Eve from dust which is by the way Brown and he took Eve from that same mix and they both were brown because God would not create you without melanin to protect your skin from the sun. The quality of dance training has declined over the years. The owner is more focused on making money. She has the recitals at a theatre that is 45 min away from the studio in Florissant because she can book that space way cheaper than the other places she use to use (those were in Chesterfield and Fenton). The recitals are in the middle of the week, which is not convenient for most people or friends and family traveling to see the recitals. What use to be a good studio, has sadly become awful. Alot of the good teachers are gone and the place is going downhill fast. The atmosphere with the older students is not good, "mean girl" behavior and the teachers turn a blind eye (and at times participate and encourage the bullying behavior). If dancing on a high school dance team is in your future DO NOT GO HERE! They penalize and outcast any students who are affiliated with their school teams. Put this place on the bottom of your list, or just avoid it completely. Very unfortunate how bad this studio has gotten.
