I spoke with the store manager, who told me there would be markdowns on fragrances on Sundays around 10-11 AM. I made a special trip back from out of town specifically for that and arrived at the time she suggested. A young female associate was helping me check which bottles might be marked down when a male employee named Eric (who identified himself as the mark down supervisor) walked up. He was extremely cocky and arrogant, interrupting to declare that the manager was wrong and there were no markdowns that day. His attitude was completely unnecessary and unprofessional--he treated the situation like he was correcting a child rather than assisting a customer. I returned later to speak with the general manager about Eric's behavior. Instead of addressing the issue, she completely denied ever telling me about the Sunday markdowns. That left me with two bad experiences: rude, arrogant staff and a manager who won't stand by what she told a customer. I won't be shopping at this location again. Thankfully there's another Burlington in town.
