Project: Repair a slope in my shower. Would need a Tile Guy to do this…read more Put this out on yelp and this company reached out and said they could do this project. David came out, looked at my shower, (seriously, just looked at the shower and threw out a number and said he could do it the next week for xxx amount) and he was done. I asked for a written estimate detailing what steps would be taken since he couldn't tell me when he was at my home. He obviously was just the salesman and didn't know anything about this project. Other bids I received said that it would take a good week to repair and he said two days, which I found odd. Anyway, he called me the next day asking me if he could put me down for the next week to get his guys scheduled. Told him I was waiting for the detailed estimate-not detailed with $$, detailed as in the steps taken to repair. I never heard from him again. Ghosted. He wasted my time and made the company look really bad. He over promised and under delivered. It is a real shame as I have a lot of high profile clientele that I was going to give referral to had the project come out well. Now it will be the opposite. All he had to do is be honest and tell me he was incorrect and it couldn't be done. I felt as if I was being pushed into signing on the dotted line without knowing what I was signing. Once he knew he couldn't pull a fast one over me, he ghosted me. Not a good look for their business.

I had the carpet in the upstairs of my house replaced about a month after I moved in. When they…read morecame to do the initial measurements and offered me a quote, they promised that my carpet would be installed within a week or two. The carpet we ended up wanting was unavailable so we had to wait about four weeks for the installation. Not a huge deal. I worked with Tommy who was very nice to work with. Tommy really tried to go out of his way to give us updates on the status of the carpet and was always available for questions which I really appreciated. Why the four stars? I am comparing this carpet installation with a previous carpet installation I had done in a home we just sold in California in May and I have to say that the quality of work that we had for this carpet installation was not nearly as good. The carpet installation I had done in California was in May of this year so it was all very recent. When the carpet installers came I was actually really worried. They did not have a shirt, a truck or even a hat that indicated that they were associated with the Floorz company at all. Just very, very strange to me. I was a little apprehensive when I let them inside my house because they were total strangers without a single piece of paperwork that indicated they were from Floorz. They took the screen off of my upstairs windows to throw out the old carpet from the upstairs window to my front lawn so they did not have to go up and down the flight of stairs as much. Lazy! I am not paying $5,000 for new carpet so you can cut corners. It was just really unprofessional and they overheard my comments to my husband regarding this and stopped the behavior. They also took so many smoke breaks. It was ridiculous. They also left their cigarette butts and fast food garbage outside of my house on my curb and driveway. It was almost 7 PM at night and they still were not done because they were on another 30 minute smoke break. I was getting really annoyed because I wanted to put my four month old baby to sleep and I couldn't until they left. They could have finished much sooner if they weren't so busy chain smoking. After they finished, there were some areas on the stairs that were not stapled down correctly. I had them re-do them and then looked fine. The carpet looks okay, however, there are some areas where I feel like the carpet doesn't sit right or has loose strands coming up here and there. It is not terrible but it doesn't look 100% perfect so I can't give a full five stars. I have gone back and cut the carpet in the places where it doesn't look perfect and that has helped a little but I don't feel like my carpet looks as pristine and perfect as the carpet did in my California home and it is the exact same carpet.

Floorz installed my hardwoods 10 years ago. At the time I just wasn't strong enough to object to…read morewhat they did. They didn't bring the hardwoods to the house to acclimate, so they cupped. They stained it to match the cabinets, after I told the installer I wanted dark floors. They never finished grouting the bathroom floor and took the grout so I couldn't finish it. As the years have gone by, I've realized they only put one coat of poly in the floor, not two. I've been disappointed for years. Today, I found the original receipt and they sold me 1131 sf of flooring with a note that there is 5% for waste. The problem is, the new contractor who measured says there is only 800sf downstairs. That's 331 sf extra that I never got. It's almost $1000 over what I should have been charged! This whole thing was a scam from the start!

I'll get straight to the point to HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vinny Pizzo for your tile needs! He made himself…read morehighly accessible to return my calls, showed above average communication skills resulting in me knowing what to expect everyday before, during and after installation. Vinny and his team of installers has an eye for detail, too. They know what looks good and how to get the job done. Overall, our porcelain textured wood style tile was installed immaculately and with the highest regard for style and a quality. I highly recommend Vinny and his team for tile installation of any kind and any place because they have skills that can get the job done.

It saddens me to have to write this 1 star review, as I was looking forward to eventually writing…read morethis business a 5 star, as I was ALSO looking forward to working with Vinny for MANY more projects and years to come... Please Note: I write this review ONLY to inform "you" of my experience, nothing more, as I did and/ or still DO like Vinny, just bothered by how things ended... With that said I do NOT discredit his 5 star reviews, but yet, I will NOT give credit to how he handled some parts/ prices of the job, and most importantly, how he handled the situation with me BEFORE the job was ever even finished: I just bought a house and upon moving in, a copper water pipe in the ceiling burst 2 days later (due to freezing temps), Welcome (to your NEW) home! So I contacted Vinny who quickly rushed over and helped address and remedy the situation. I was extremely happy and relieved with how fast, attentive and friendly he was to me and my unfortunate situation. He said mold and/ or black mold is very common here in TN, and we should NOT take any chances, to which I did NOT disagree: Better to be safe than sorry. I would much rather be proactive NOW, then forced to be reactive later, when it's "too late" by then... So very quickly the ceiling got ripped out, as did the insulation, and not having a truck, Vinny dropped off a dehumidifier as I was told it would help to dry out the room. I wanna say I was charged $2,500, give or take; I thought that to be kinda pricey, but ok... Then after that was done, he had framers come to re-frame the ceiling... Was that needed...? I'm not sure, but this where the story takes a turn after I was charged another $2,100 for the framers... : Not only did the framers cut the wire to the thermostat in that room that I was never even informed of, but this was right around Christmas, so the temperatures were extremely cold, windy, and rainy, and not having a thermostat to keep that room heated at all, and not having a ceiling with any insulation, made it ALL even that much worse. When I told Vinny the wire to thermostat was cut, he said "happens..." Oh OK, cool... Thanks... So now I had to hire an electrician to fix that wire, which not only cost ME $350, but he also said "Hey, this EXPOSED wire is 'hot!' This is NOT safe to have a live wire exposed like this!" Then to make it even worse, once it got fixed, as it had to be to "code," he had to put in 2 boxes, BOTH with covers! So now my $2+ million dollar house has 2 plastic covers next to each other in the ceiling... LOL... Looks great, thanks a lot... Pictures below: Then I had an HVAC guy come that was referred to me now that the thermostat has been fixed, before the insulation and drywall can get put back in ceiling... When he shows up, to make a long story short, he said "WTF happened to your ceiling!?! Why is the ENTIRE ceiling removed?" I told him a water pipe burst, and he said "That's not right to have done this because of that. Why did he re-frame the entire ceiling?" I said I don't know... "Why did the framers put sister beams to all of them?" I don't know... "They didn't even really re-frame, they just nailed new wood to the existing wood that was already there. Maybe replace the wet ones, but not sister every single one of them. Does your contractor even know what they did?" Does he know they did this...? Did he see/ approve this?" I don't know... And because I'm not a contractor or someone who knows anything about how to fix homes, I might never know if any/ all of this was ne. But nonetheless, the HVAC guy then said "Call your contractor, I would like to talk to him..." He had his convo with Vinny, asking him why this and that was done, and it looks terrible, and Vinny hung up on him... So anyways, I believe it was the next day, maybe 2, I called Vinny to ask him what the status is on completing the job, since he had previously sent me another invoice to complete the job that was going to cost me another $4,000... So from start to finish, this is going to cost me $10,000!?! Starting to feel like I might be getting taken advantage of, but whatever, it needs to get done right... Vinny answered and said in a nutshell, "I do not appreciate the drunk guy that called me, I was doing you a favor! I was making no money on this job! I don't care what you do from here, I'm not working on this job anymore with you, or on any job for you in the future! Take care!" And hung up on me... Ummmm, WTF just happened...??? Did he just hang up on me...? Did he just hold me accountable for a conversation that he had with someone I didn't even know? I would/ will NEVER hold someone else accountable for a conversation that they have with someone else... Ever. So I was forced to find someone else to complete what Vinny started, and pick up the pile of trash that Vinny's crew left in the front of my house... So as I said at the beginning, this is NOT a "hit piece" or a hate piece, this was just MY piece and NOTHING more...
