Amazing experience working with this company on a custom arch for a bridal shower. The owner sent me several pictures of balloons that I requested to make sure I'd love the finished product and also went out of his way to squeeze us in during pride weekend even after his schedule was already filled up. Top tier customer service from start to finish. The bouquets were beautiful! Will never go to party city for ballon's ever again.

Prompt, thoughtful, reliable, well priced. Thank you Elmer for making our party festive and memorable!!

I have been looking for quite some time for a good balloon shop- a step up from the Party City's and wow this place far exceeded my expectations. This was by far some of the best service I have ever received. I ordered the balloons around 10:00am and and had them by 1:30pm at my front door. They were perfect! Amazing customer service! Ok- so I am updating this review because I can't add a second one! So Elmer doesn't disappoint again! He really is the best balloon place in town! I needed some last minute balloons for a doggy announcement photo shoot and as before - I called Elmer and he made it happen! Thank again! read more

My sister and friends threw me a surprised 60th birthday party last year, June 2022. My sister had balloon decorations made for and I loved them so much that I decided to keep 2 of the center pieces a whole year. I am impressed with how long they lasted. They did of course deflate over time but not to the point they couldn't stand up. All of the balloon pieces that were done were FANTASTIC!! Trust me, you can't go wrong with this balloon company!!! read more

We wanted about 20 giant (3 feet) balloons for our wedding and had a very hard time finding vendors in the DC area to help us. Luckily, Elmer was able to get us what we needed. We had a lot of communication with Elmer to settle on the right balloon colors/types and to go over logistics - he was very patient with us and was always prompt with his responses. We also spoke over the phone to make sure that all the details were set. On our wedding day, Elmer showed up with an assistant as soon as the ceremony space was available, and inflated the balloons in less time than anticipated. They looked great, and Elmer was able to make a last-minute adjustment to the ribbon lengths when we discovered that the ceiling was lower than we had been told by the hotel staff. We were very happy with the product and Elmer's service - the balloons ended up being a big hit with our guests and a very memorable part of our day. Thanks Elmer! read more

National Night Out 2019 was one day away and we were without balloons. I contacted My Custom Balloons and Elmer called me back almost immediately. With less than 24 hours notice we had 200 individual balloons ready to go -- and delivered to our even early and perfectly. Elmer and My Custom Balloons are top notch. The balloons are excellent and lasted for many hours. Customer Service is the best anywhere -- bar none. He helped with set up --- and left everyone with a huge smile. I cannot say enough good things about My Custom Balloons. I definitely recommend for all your balloon needs -- and you have a customer for life. A HUGE Thank You! Absolutely the very best! I found Elmer on-line after doing a google search in a desperate search to find another balloon vendor after my usual vendor flaked out on me at the last minute, I had a very high profile launch party in just 48 hours and no balloons! I found My Custom Balloons and spoke to Elmer who reassured me that he and his team would be able to accommodate my balloon request on such short notice. Elmer did just that. My balloon bouquets arrived on time and Elmer and his team assembled the bouquets on site to ensure I got the right height and desired color pattern. If I ever need balloons again, I will MOST DEFINITELY be calling Elmer...no doubt. He was professional, on time, and very accommodating. Thanks to Elmer, my event was a huge success. I highly recommend My Custom Balloons. If I could give 10 stars, I would. read more

Do not hesitate to use Elmer and his company for your special event! His service, responsiveness, and skill at making your idea come to reality really made my special event come together perfectly, all with very little turn time. He was very experienced in coordinating with our hotel to make sure he was able to arrive on time, get in, setup the balloons, and get out for a surprise event. He even coordinated parking so it wouldn't be obvious that there were balloons coming into the hotel to help keep it a surprise. He did a fantastic job at assisting with design and has very upfront pricing. I live in NY and our youngest son lives in Arlington for many years. Today is his birthday, and at the last minute, I was frantic to send him something for his birthday. I needed to work online this morning, so I didn't have much time to take care of this. The owner of this establishment, Elmer, went out of his way in so many ways to make sure my son got something for his birthday today. I am so excited and grateful to Elmer for all his patience, help, kindness and the beautiful balloon bouquet that our son received. Elmer made my day, and I hope others will use this business. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I recently worked with them to set up a back drop for my son's first birthday party. Because of an error on my part, I spoke to them the morning of the party and he was able to bring his team and finish the set up in less than 15 minutes exactly like how I had wanted it. It was perfect! Seriously. Amazing. Everyone commented on the balloons and I was so sad to take it down! He was professional, kind and understanding through it all. JUST what you want in a local business - responsive, deliver a very good product, go above and beyond with customer service. I used them for some simple balloon centerpieces for a party. They had a great selection available, provided good advice on choices, delivered just when they said they would, provided balloons of good quality, and put everything together carefully and nicely. The delivery people not only dropped things off, but were prepared to adjust things for where we were putting them. I would happily use them any time I need balloons. read more

Without one single doubt, Elmer's custom balloons is one of the best small businesses I have ever worked with. I was on a mission to find someone who could make me a balloon 'garland' --- not a balloon arch. Called several and no one knew about a balloon garland, with one exception: Elmer's My Custom Balloons knew exactly what I was describing. And we sealed the deal and he showed up at the house in McLean and assembled and installed an absolutely gorgeous balloon garland. This garland was to celebrate a bridal shower. It was installed over the front door and spent the night outside without losing any balloon volume. He knew exactly what he was doing and was the epitome of professionalism. And a pleasure to work with. So nice to work with someone who wants you to be happy and makes sure you are HAPPY. I recommend this company without one single hesitation. An absolute pleasure. Kate V. I highly recommend this business. Very professional and timely with good follow through. I can honestly say this was the best customer service I have revived since relocating to Arlington. I ordered balloons for a coworkers baby shower. Not only did he deliver and set up the balloons but left us with instructions on how to disassemble the arch and towers for the mom and dad to be to take home. I am very pleased and will work with this company again and again. read more

We were in from Los Angeles for our daughter's white coat ceremony for med school. We blew up two balloons and knew we needed professional help. I don't think I've ever left a review on yelp, but feel compelled to because of the great experience we had with My Custom Balloons. Ordered a bunch of latex balloons to be delivered on 12/11/20, and somehow, on 12/16, they are still as firmly inflated and floating as they were when we received them. Great quality balloons. Really friendly service and we got exactly what we were expecting. We will definitely order from them again! read more

My friend found Elmer Umana from My Custom Balloons and it's a good thing she did or we wouldn't have had any door decorations to welcome people to the bridal shower I hosted. I had seen some balloon garland "kits" but had no time nor talent for putting balloons together into a garland that would fit above my front door. It needed custom treatment by a professional. Elmer arrived exactly on time and spent considerable time creating the garland on the spot with feedback about the size of balloons, the garland, and placement. Here is proof that we got a special garland created just for us by Elmer. I didn't want just any garland, I wanted a unique one. read more

Fabulous Service!! Called at noon, bouquet delivered at 2 PM. Very helpful on phone to complete online order. Will certainly use again

I placed a very specific order for my grand daughters 4th birthday. I am in Texas so I had concerns, many times a long distance order does not meet expectations. Not the case here, the customer service was excellent. I spoke to Elmer numerous times, I am not certain if he is the owner, however he took great pride and patience in assuring my order was exactly what I wanted! I can not express how happy my grand daughter and I were. Again, Elmer went the extra step and called me just prior to delivery so I FaceTimed and was able to be a part of her surprise. Thank you so much, you by far exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed. read more
