So much fun! We got the four destination tour- Tulum, Coba, some cenote, and Playa del Carmen. While we were headed to the first destination, we got in a long, long traffic jam, due to an accident, which delayed the trip. Instead of cutting the trip short, they still powered on to all the destinations and gave us plenty of time at each stop to get to see and do everything. Lunch was all you can eat, at some shanty by the cenote. It was a great Yucutan dish- conchinita pibil with marinated red onions. We basically had the cenote to ourselves- it was beautiful. Before I dove in, we were blessed by a Mayan priest, who blew copal smoke on us and had us hold various pieces of mayan artwork. The van was air conditioned, and a comfortable ride. No bathroom was onboard the bus. The bus was clean, and spacious. Our guide spoke English, and was fun and knew lots of facts and was happy to answer all the questions. They were fantastic. It was a good value for all the things that we got to do. I'd book with them again! read more

Total scam company!!!!!!! Stay away from them! I paid $440 dollars and they never showed up for our bookings they were supposed to pick us up at the hotel, when I called them they said the tour was yesterday I told them I have the paperwork and I had the correct dates printed on my tickets, when I disputed with my bank they claimed we "enjoyed the experience" they are complete sum bags. We were very pleased with their service! They provided us with a private van for eight adults, and took us to the Mayan runs in Tulum, swimming at 4 Cenotes and a buffet taco lunch at Casa Tortuga, and then to see the Mother Earth statue south of Tulum --- all for $150 per person. (If you are in Cancun its cheaper without the private van) We were picked up at 9am in a very nice van and the driver stayed with us all day until he brought us home at 6 PM. We spent as much time at each stop as we wanted, it was great! The driver even stopped at gas station so we could fill up our cooler with drinks for the day. Overall I would highly recommend MyCancunTours for everything from Cancun to Tulum and all areas in between. read more

Amazing tour!!! Even though we had some rude people in our group that took the tour. wasn't going to let them ruin my trip to the ruin's!!..... took the 4X1 tour.. 1. Talum 2. Coba 3. Cenote 4. Playa del Carmen A lot in one day!! has it pros- first 3 are fairly close to and all are completely gorgeous and jaw dropping especially climbing the top of Coba. Con- not as much time at each location. I feel if they were cut out the shopping at Playa DC and divide that time into the other locations it would be perfect.. and maybe screen for A-holes!! Oh our guide Faco was great!! Very informative with history and delivered it all in a fun and upbeat personality it made it fun. read more

I booked a reservation on 05/10/21 with this company whilst in MX for Isla Mujeres Catamaran, Snorkel and Dolphin Swim for 05/11/21. I received a phone call and text message asking to get in contact because they overbooked the tour and needed to reschedule/cancel (all in the same day within 1-2hrs of booking). I instructed them I wanted my refund (my vacation was ending before any other open tours) and I immediately sent an email, as instructed, requesting my refund. I NEVER received a response, even after multiple emails were sent and unanswered phone calls. I then contacted my credit card company to file for a fraud charge- to get my refund. Which was denied, because mycancuntours will not refund. They took about 2.5 months to finally respond to me personally and only after my credit card company contacted them. The response came on 08/04/21 with a link to their refund/cancellation policy and that I have been given 12 months to use the booking. THEY canceled my tour- the cancelation policy conveniently doesn't offer anything if they cancel. Bought a tour to Isla Mujeres with snorkeling at underwater museum. I specially bought this because of the underwater museum bit. The tour included pick up at the hotel which it didn't happen. We were told to go meet them at the beach. We were at the meeting point for a while and no one showed up. We then decided to ask around until we were directed to the pier. No one seemed to know anything about the underwater museum part of the tour, we were only told snorkeling was included. The catamaran was completely different from the picture on the website and with a lot more people on it. But all was ok until, for our surprise, the captain announces snorkeling was cancelled sue to bad weather - even though the day was sunny and beautiful blue sky. We ended up going to the island only, which we could have done by paying a ferry service which is much cheaper. We contacted the company requesting either a refund or to take us snorkeling another day and they didnt even get back to us. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! read more

Don't book through them. 100% refund is a lie. They do not refund any money so be very careful and just stay away. I requested to cancel 5 days in advance but they wouldn't let me. They said since it's promotional so we wouldn't. Although in terms and condition it says it will still refund 80% even when promotional but it didn't. We did the 4x1 trip today. To start off with we were picked up nearly an hour late this morning, loaded on a small van with more people than seats and then taken to another area to get on the bus. We we asked for a small group but was placed on a bus with nearly 5o people on it. We were advised that they are suppose to be operating at 50% capacity... this is not even close to what was on the bus. When we finally arrived at tulum we had about 1.5 hours there. That's barely enough time to walk around the ruins and get back. We were then taken to a local buffet where everyone was packed in and some were made to eat with people not of their party. Food was mediocre at best. From there we went to Coba. Again about 1.5 hours. We were given a bike and with those had barely enough time to see some of the ruins. After this we went to the Mayan village. This was nice but again short and rushed. Next was the centoes. Here is was maybe 75ft by 50ft about ten ft deep. Seems fine until there is about 50 people in there. Only were able to swim in a small area because most of it was dedicated to a "zip line" for people to drop from. So again everyone is packed into a small area. After this we went to playa del carmon for an hour of shopping. Here is the problems: Started out late Always felt rushed Very unsafe for covid Poor communication from company Did not get everything that was offered No maya chocolate experience, honey experience was getting to see the bees (maybe), and no candles. Tulum beach was closed--- no one said a word till we were there Coba-- you are not allowed to climb it right now, again no one said a word. However given the small amount of time I don't think you would be able to anyways On the good side. The bus was comfortable with plugs to charge phones The guide was nice, however don't expect a personal experience at the ruins... they show you pictures on the bus. It's too stressful getting a refund from this agency. I booked for a vacation package last Jan 2020, and due to Covid-19 and the restrictions, i have to ask for a refund. They keep asking me to send money for certain things that they need to do but everytime it messes up, they ask me to send a new one with a promise that it will be refunded. This happened over and over and now my savings and credit were both shelled out. Two days ago, I sent them my last $400 USD because they said they needed it to open the account for my refunds to go through. Now theyre asking me to send another $400 USD because their server did not work and again promised to refund the first money if i send a new one with a threat that I will not receive the refund + all the amount they charged and recharged in the past 2 months. I live in Canada and USD here is expensive. We are having this pandemic so it's harder to get by right now. I dont understand why these people keep asking me for more money after I sent them what they asked. It's not my mistake why they keep having errors, but why am I always paying for it? All for a stupid refund? My suggestion is this: save yourself some stress and if youre going to book for a trip, choose your local agency!! read more

MyCancunTours is a SCAM!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!! They don't tell you the actual pickup time before the actual date and time of pickup, and then make it sound like you had a no show so that they don't have to refund you!! I booked a Tulum experience and they emailed me the pickup time confirmation AFTER the actual date and time of pickup and then said I was a no show, so they would not refund me!! Here is what happened: The booking confirmation details stated a pickup time of 8AM from my hotel and I did not receive an email confirmation nor a phone call prior to 12/7 8AM to confirm the pickup time of 7:25am. I checked my SPAM and confirm NO email was sent to me prior to 12/7 to confirm 7:25AM pickup time. I had called the tour company number listed in the booking confirmation the day before my booking several times to confirm the pickup time of 8AM from my hotel but no one answered. At 7:45AM the morning of my tour I came downstairs to the outside of my hotel to wait for the 8AM tour pickup but around 8:03AM I called the tour company to confirm pickup time and they put me on hold for 15 minutes. My concierge called the tour company and it seems the tour company came at 7:25am to pick me up but I did not receive any email nor phone call before 12/7 about 7:25AM pickup. I contacted MyCancunTours twice to request a full refund for my booking. NO REPLY. Asia Miles with whom I booked MyCancunTours also contacted MyCancunTours and they also have not received a response. read more

Booked an Isla Contoy tour with My Cancun Tours (mycancuntours.com) for the end of May 2021. I never received an email with instructions and tickets. So a couple days before the tour I decided to give them a call. Well apparently they weren't doing that tour. How are they going to offer a tour they don't do, charge you for it and then not refund you?? That's right folks, they did not want to refund me. The woman I spoke with said she didn't know how the process worked. I emailed the company, and to date I have not heard a word from them. No refund, no apology, no response. Nothing. Dead Silence. Very long day from Cancun. We did the 4x1 adventure. We were picked up from our hotel in Cancun promptly at 7:20 and taken to a shop were all of us dispersed to the designated line for our specific tour. We then boarded another bus and had several other stops before we made it to Tulum, finally at 1130am. Our first guide Francisco was super nice with a great personality. We then switched guides as soon as we got to Tulum. Our new guide Alan was very knowledgeable and took us about a quarter of the way through Tulum then time in our own for about an hour, which we enjoyed very much. What a beautiful location. Then on to lunch, by this time we where all hungry and many had purchased the the upgraded plus package and were drinking corona like it was going out of style. On the way to lunch our bus broke down. Lucky for us though it broke down in front of the Carwash Cenote. We utilized this time to swim while waiting for another bus to arrive to rescue us. I needless to say, was a bit disappointed, the explanation of the other Cenote we would have visited sounded out of his world. The carwash was nice don't get me wrong but I was so looking forward to the other cenote that had been described to us earlier . About 1 hour later, another bus arrived and off to an underwhelming lunch by far. The best part was the homemade tortillas. Very flavorful but the rest of the "traditional" lunch was not worth the trip. The performance was like a sideshow they felt they had to put on to entertain the guests that arrived. I felt out of place like I was invading there home land. It was weird. The chocolate tasting didn't happen either. It was a little place at the end of the row of jewelry and other homemade crafts along the walkway to get to and from the lunch. Both my husband and I were definitely looking forward to chocolate tasting, however it was shavings of chocolate in a bowl, that you had to put your fingers in and grab as much as you like - I didn't feel that it was sanitary at all! I didn't taste it - I felt there could have been a better more sanitary way. Next stop was Cobá- I had a friend that had just gone and raved about his guide and the history he had just learned. Well, we were rushed off the bus and taken to the the bikes. We were told to rush to the ruins and come back. No guide to explain any of the ruins on the way or the last ruin that we were able to climb. We kind of latched on to another guide explaining about the trees at the end of his explanation but I wondered why our guide Allen didn't guide us through this extraordinary place. Upon our return we found Allen on his cell phone enjoying several smokes and the other guide helpers enjoying multiple beers by the bus. By his time I was super frustrated and concerned about entering the bus when they all have been drinking. I did and it was fine. But still not cool. After another hour on the bus we stopped in Playa del Carmen. We felt by this time it was super late, we couldn't really get a feel for the place and we only at 50 min to walk around. Our guide took us to our meeting and let us loose. I'll tell you, 50 min is not enough time to do much. Browse at the most. We didn't get the sense we were anywhere. It was just a waste of time. It was a very long frustrating day. I wouldn't recommend it wether your bus breaks down or not. The guides don't take the time with you and try and up-sell you on everything. Especially anything that has to do with the Mayan culture. The up selling started at the beginning with bug spray and water proof cell phone covers to the end of the tour with anything Mayan. But it was all day while in the bus. Enough already. Tell us about your culture and we will respect it / but trying to get us to purchase your items because you are Mayan and making us feel bad if we buy at a different location is terrible I will never return to any of your tours. Tulum Express Plus Tour Paid $135 for the 4 of us. I will talk about what it was supposed to include and what actually happened: Round trip transfer in an air-conditioned van or bus - Yes. - It took 2 hrs + to arrive. - It also included pick up and drop off at my hotel. The bus that picks you up is not the actual bus that will take you to Tulum. If you are staying at the hotel that I stayed at, skip the "pick from the hotel" and walk over to the plaza. The buses depart from Plaza La Fiesta. Box lunch (light breakfast) - It included a 3 layer 1/2 cold sandwich and a juice box Unlimited beverages onboard (soft drinks, beer, and bottled water) - This was only offered on the trip to Tulum. Other than a dude who got a beer, everyone else asked for a bottle of water. Waiter on board * - The tour guide who dropped the lunchbox at every seat Transportation on a "tractor train" from the parking lot of Tulum to the ruins (0.62 miles) ** - Nop, did not happen. I did not carry my kid's stroller believing them. It is a short walk if you are not carrying a 32 lbs kid. Bilingual tour guide - He spoke more Spanish than English Entrance fee to Tulum Guided tour at the archaeological site - Everything is kind of messed up from the minute you deboard the bus. The tour guide will ask everyone (30+ people) from the bus to meet outside a restaurant. We all got there and the tour guide took off. It was hard for us to catch up and were well behind 30+ people. Once you get to the entrance, there is a huge crowd. Always keep an eye on your tour guide. Someone came through and gave us a band to tie on our hands. We stood in line and when we got to the entrance couple of us realized we did not get a stamp/ticket. We had to stand away from the line so others could get through. There was no sight of the tour guide at this time. Luckily a couple of us saw someone from our bus and told them to call the tour guide once they get inside. He came back and got us through the side gates. Then it was a rush to get to the small tunnel to get inside the ruins. It was super hot inside (end of December) and like I said few of us with kids were stuck in the back and couldn't even hear what the guide was talking about the ruins. After 10 - 15 minutes, we gave up and took off by ourselves. We walked around and saw the ruins and left. The bus was scheduled to take off at 12:45 pm. We hurried and ordered some food to take on the bus since we will not get back to the hotel until 2:45 and kids won't be able to stay without food until then. An exclusive photomontage with a picture of you with the archaeological site of Tulum in the background *** - Yes. The picture was taken at the Plaza before boarding the bus. The picture came out well and the finished pictures were given out when boarded the bus for departure. For the non-plus travelers, they were charging $15 for a picture. Final Verdict - Don't take the plus option for sure! If you really want to go with kids to the ruins, go by yourself instead of with a tour group. Find a tour guide for yourself and then tour the place. On the way back spend some time at Playa Del Carmen too. read more

Pros: the tour guide was great. The ruins (Chicen Itzah) was great. I was glad to have the chance to buy souveniers at the gift shops located on the way to the ruins. I liked the little town that we stopped in on the way to Chicen Itza. Cons: My husband & I had to literally wait over an hour to be picked up at our hotel, while other hotel guests were picked up from their tours on time. There was no explanation for our long wait. Luckily, our hotel called *all* tour companies on our behalf and finally found My Cancun Tours to be responsible for our tour. We finally boarded the tour bus. During this wait time, we were quite afraid that we would not go to Chichen Itza. No one called us, we received no word on anything. This whole process was quite maddening, to say the least. Our hotel had to speak to several people at My Cancun Tours to finally find our reservation; this lack of knowledge on My Cancun Tours was inexcusable. Also, we spent a lot of money for a lunch on the bus; it turned out the lunch was not at all worth the price we paid. Finally, the tour guide informed us that the bus's restroom was inaccessible.
