I now live in Yuba city and I travel just to continue care I have had two baby's since I have moved and my care has still been amazing. I am very grateful especially to Dr. Dawson. She has been very caring and supportive throughout my miscarriages and my high risk pregnancy. No care facility is perfect but I trust the care I have received and I recommend this office. Fast forward a year later we are scheduled for an extensive surgery because we searched and found a BETTER practice and Dr that cared, listened and took all the steps to ensure their patient was taken care of. No one understands the pain the debilitating pain that comes along with women issues I was referred over to Dr. MacNear some time ago and I could cry thinking of how different my life might have been had I met her years ago. She is very knowledgeable kind and listens. My cost is minimal and you can't believe it by the service. Every staff member is amazing. This review is long over due. I love the staff and the office. Working with the Dr. and her staff member Ariel has been such a great experience. I've had so many issues with prior autos etc. This office goes above and beyond. My biggest fear is ever loosing insurance that wouldn't allow me to be at this office. I have an amazing PCP whom recommend I go here and I'm entirely grateful. I will be seeing Dr. Chu and will be looking forward to knowing more of the staff.

However, I also rotated throughout the office and seen most of the other physicians as well who were all just as wonderful. I highly recommend this practice for any OBGYN and or prenatal needs. The person you see each visit will not deliver your baby. You get to choose each appt whether you want the same or different provider. The parking lot can be tough but there's street parking on the worst days. The providers I saw were Veronica Klein, Jessica Miller, and Christine Grisbach Smith. I really loved Veronica and I'd highly recommend her. Jessica was not bas either. I didn't love my interaction with Christine.

I have constant pelvic pain/sciatica, he spent less than five minutes in the room and didn't even perform a physical exam. When I told him I couldn't walk or sit for extended periods of time without pain/go to work, he just said he 'isn't a spine doctor' and is only an OBGYN. He didn't even offer a referral to a specialist--he just walked out and left me with no medical plan and no path for treatment. On top of that, he is clueless about CA pregnancy disability laws, saying I have to be 24 weeks to get continuous leave which is a lie. Even tho on my leave paperwork he approved intermittent leave and wrote I am unable to sit for long periods of time which my current position at my job has me doing ??? I paid this office a $35 fee to fill out my disability paperwork and they couldn't get the year right writing 2025 on a 2026 claim, and messed up when the leave started which was stated in the packet if they actually read it. I had to drive back up there twice in pain, upset just to get them to fix their own mistakes because they didn't bother to read the forms. They treat mothers like an afterthought. Don't go here go to a doctor and office staff who actually cares. I don't trust them at all. Also I had to wait 30-40 minutes after my appointment actually was schedule for, lol it's funny cause if I would have shown up late they would have told me to reschedule....

As I reflect on my first pregnancy and my first delivery I think I have things to add to my…read moreprevious review. Dr. Chu has a great bedside manner, calm cool and collected. Makes you feel at ease and comfortable. I did not see any other doctors in the office while in prenatal care with dr chu. What I want to add is a few things centered around my delivery itself. Firstly, I had one (maybe 2?) appointments where my blood pressure was higher than normal and this caused for concern and Dr chu suggested that if I had the high blood pressure again he would recommend inducing my labor on or near my due date. What ended up happening was my blood pressure leveled out and he said we wouldn't need to induce. I ended up going into spontaneous labor with no intervention or swabs/sweeps a week early. As mentioned in my previous review, Dr chu was not on call or working that day but he came in and delivered my baby anyway. He was encouraging and present for my 4 hours of pushing. We ended up having to do pitocin because my baby was showing signs of distress and wasn't progressing as expected. Eventually i ran out of steam and didn't have much left in my tank even with the epidural. We needed an intervention. C section was briefly brought up but luckily we didn't go that route. Some Doctors will bring up c sections with much less reason to do so. I'm glad Dr chu didn't push that Onto me. What we did do was a vacuum birth. It was a little scary for me but it's what was needed to get my baby out safely. Now that I'm almost due to have my second and no longer can see Dr chu due to insurance i appreciate his care and service more than ever. I do not know the doctors at my current facility and will not meet anyone prior to giving birth. It worries me not knowing what my Dr will be like this time around. If you are pregnant and want a good experience with an OB, Dr chu is an excellent choice,

I had a terrible experience in Labor & Delivery triage with Dr. Adams-Berry last night. I arrived…read moreat triage at 7:15 PM and was not seen by the doctor until after 9:00 PM. I am 31 weeks and came in for light vaginal bleeding. Sitting in a hospital bed for over two hours while pregnant and experiencing major tailbone pain was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. Although I was told the doctor arrived in triage before 9:00 PM, I was informed that other patients were prioritized. I understand emergencies happen, but the issue is that I was never evaluated during that time, so no one actually knew how serious my situation was. At no point did the doctor communicate with me or let me know I would be seen soon. Instead, the RN repeatedly told me "just a few more minutes" every 15-20 minutes, which went on for nearly two hours. At one point I urgently needed to use the restroom. My husband went to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be and we were again told "a few more minutes." Being in my third trimester, I physically could not wait any longer and had to get up myself. After waiting so long without being seen, I asked the front desk if I could be discharged. Dr. Adams-Berry turned toward me and said in a rude and irritated tone, "I'm looking at your chart right now," as if I was supposed to know that. After sitting there for two hours with no communication, that response was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. When she finally came into my room, I expressed how upset and uncomfortable I was. Her repeated response of "well, we are here now" felt dismissive and completely lacking empathy. I came to Labor & Delivery because I was concerned about my pregnancy and needed reassurance, not to be brushed off. What made this even worse was reviewing my clinical notes afterward and finding inaccurate information. My chart states that I have a family history of Type II diabetes, which is completely false. No one in my family has diabetes. It also listed my time with the doctor as 50 minutes, which is misleading considering I waited over two hours before even being seen. This entire experience was stressful, insensitive, and discouraging for pregnant patients who come in with legitimate concerns. I will be requesting that this doctor not be involved in my delivery or future care. No expecting mother should be made to feel unimportant, dismissed, or ignored when seeking medical attention.

She was almost 30 min late to my first apt which no biggie she apologized but I know that can irritate people and I took time off work for the apt. However I didn't speak up or tell them so that's my fault. 2. The dr spent a lot of time with me and asked a bunch of questions but lectured me about stds for like 10 min. Now I appreciate her vigilance but she was really goin in on HIV and I just told her I didn't have any type of relationships AT ALL in 2020. So then the hiv lecture seemed irrelevant. But this seemed a little over kill even though I get she is supposed to educate. So ok. 3. I asked her to refill my anti depressants, not pain killers or adderall or Xanax. I needed a refill on my Zoloft and she responded with "I'm not a pill dr".... I'm sorry what?? Like I'm not selling these, abusing them, no one even wants these and it's totally in her scope of work because I have had other obgs prescribe them. Which was a bummer because I had to try and find a GP after this to try and not run out! Like what kind of dr are you then?? 4. I had to come in so she could tell me my blood work was fine because my insurance didn't cover telehealth. Which ok I get you want to bill for an apt but come on just tell me everything is good and don't bill for an additional apt. I can already see my results on the quest website so I know everything is good. Plus she won't prescribe me anything to help my blood work right??? 5. They only take cash or check. 6. She was 30 min late to my second appointment to go over the blood work. So I left. Really nice people but just think there are better options out there for obgy.
