Great knowledge and very helpful. I am working on a project and they were able to help me out. Highly recommend this business!

Nice guy, Fast Work, Sloppy shop. I had some head work done here earlier this year for a Nissan SR20DE-T and after receiving my head back there was enough issues with it that I wouldn't recommend going back. I came to have my head resurfaced, cleaned & finally for installation of new valve seals with BC springs & retainers. Mike was friendly & upon inspection of my head he recommended new guides, so I brought him some the next week no problem as I did with the other parts to help streamline the process. However after I received my head back from the shop & inspected it at home I noticed a few problems with it & I'm disappointed. I'll start with the more minor issues and end with the bigger ones. 1st issue being paint over-spray, personally I don't want my head to be spray painted at all but that's my fault & I should have clarified. The paint work is done fine & it does look bright like aluminum but there was built up over-spray and residue on the head surface that had to be cleaned off with a plastic razor blade thoroughly. 2nd Issue is one of the valve keepers wasn't installed fully & a separate valve keeper had a piece of metal wire stuck in it (Like from a wire wheel). Annoying, but not that big of a deal to me as I have the tools to fix the two messed up keepers. 3rd issue, & the biggest issue of all is that the head kept dropping metal shavings out of it, as It was not cleaned properly after being resurfaced. At this point I had to have the head disassembled completely to clean it all out & be rebuilt.. If someone wasn't as mechanically inclined & somehow managed to install this head it would have ended in complete engine failure. Overall, staff seems fine. Fast work, maybe a little too fast as this shop needs better quality control. read more

I had an excellent experience getting the engine for my Miata rebuilt by Mike and his guys! I'd had two very negative experiences attempting rebuilds before working with MVM; one local shop took a year and almost never communicated; another national outfit went incommunicado as soon as they had my money and it took months before I could get a refund! Working with MVM was HUGELY refreshing! Mike said 2 to 3 weeks to complete the work and beat his time estimate, the price was very reasonable for a full rebuild and there were no surprises or upcharges, and now that I have the engine installed and working and have put a few hundred miles on it, I can feel confident that this engine is built correctly, not leaking, and is running as it should. Mike is knowledgeable, took the time to do the job correctly, and worked with me when I had a couple small questions during install in an easy, friendly way. Even going into MVM as a customer, I felt a little bit like family with these guys. I can't say nicer things about the work they do or the way they work with customers. Thanks MVM! read more

I have known Mike, his father, and Sabo for many years now. So, when I bought my 2001 Prelude (commuter car) I took it directly to MVM to rebuild the motor and transmission. After 2 weeks, I pretty much received a brand spanking new car back. Mike & company pride themselves in their craftsmanship, honesty, and pricing; and I respect that. read more

I got my IID installed here. They did the job quickly at a very competitive price, and everything works fine. More importantly, they took the time to show me how to use the device. It would have taken me a while to figure it out without their help. Highly Recommended! read more

Professional, courteous and affordable. Brought our car here and was really pleased with the service. The staff is super helpful and we appreciated their attentiveness to our needs. They called and followed up with us promptly and did not try to do that bate and switch and sell us more items that wasn't really necessary. All and all, MVM Engine Mechanical is a very professional business and anyone who patronizes them will not be disappointed. read more

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! I had my truck engine rebuilt there and 2 weeks later it started to leak oil. I took it back and they said they repaired the problem. It still leaked the same. I went through the having to take my truck back 2 more times before I threatened to report them to the BBB. They finally replaced the rear main seal and completed the repair. They also use cheap parts. I had to have my camshaft replaced because the one they installed wore down. You dont want to go through the trouble I did. These guys arent honest and the workmanship is poor. read more

The owner, Mike, is very knowledgeable and always gives a fair price for the work his shop does. We've recommended MVM to a bunch of our friends and family members and they've also been very satisfied with the work that's been done on their cars and the price they've paid to get them fixed. Best auto repair shop in town, hands down. If you're looking for an honest and extremely competent auto mechanic (which is increasingly hard to find with all the cheats out there nowadays), this is the place. read more

I was looking for a machine shop to rebuild my 99 Chevy Tahoe engine. I came across MVM on the internet while looking for a shop to do the work. The issue I ran into was that mechanic's were refusing to do the work because they weren't going to make money off of the job ! I spoke with the owner Mike and was able to arrange to have the work done ! Mike provided excellent service ! He went beyond what any regular mechanic would do ! Providing a very fair and reasonable price ! I am very please with the work that was done ! I highly recommend that anyone looking to have work done on any late model vehicles take their vehicle to MVM Engine Mechanical ! read more

Mr. Sako the technician looked at my car that is leaking oil and recommended some options for repair. We started with the basic repair. They are honest mechanic and are still the old school type that know how to troubleshoot and ask proper questions to find out what the root of the cause is. They also replaced a pulley that had a nagging noise and was causing issue with the engine temperature. Thanks again MVM engine for your honesty and taking my car in a short notice. read more

I had my suburban in there for a "check up" and they were super friendly and very accommodating given the large vehicle and the small space they're operating in. They pinpointed an oil leak that had escaped me for a while and were able to fix it at a fair price in a reasonable amount of time. Overall a good experience and I would recommend to a friend, but 4 stars because 5 is reserved for great/outstanding :) read more

I have a 1996 Aurora that is a real pain to work on because the V8 fits so tight in the engine compartment. I have been taking this car to Mike for about 6-7 years. He has performed repairs and maintenance on this car with some of the best service I have ever encountered. He stands behind all his work and makes sure that everything is working properly. If something were to go wrong he will fix it without hesitation. His prices are the best and quality better than ever. I wish I had found him for the first 10 years I owned this car. He operates his business with the utmost honesty and that is what sets him apart from any other mechanic I have ever dealt with. I am finally selling this vehicle and am including his card in case it were to need some future repairs. With Mike taking care of this car it will probably last another 187K miles. Thanks Mike....See you with my new car whenever needed. You are the Best!!!! read more
