I received a referral to this practice on May 5, 2025, to address a recurrence of Polymyalgia…read morerheumatica (PMR), which causes considerable pain and restricts normal movement. I received an arrogant cover letter and a 22 page questionnaire via email on May 6th, (all the same information available in the 'meaningful use' electronic medical records system used by Prisma) and a request for previous doctors records, which were faxed to them that same day. They came back and scheduled me for a 15 minute appointment with a Dr. Funariu on June 9, 2025, ONLY a month and 3 days later. A few days before June 9th they called me to tell me that 'something came up' for this doctor and they needed to reschedule me for June 24th, a month and 18 days after the referral. (I recorded the conversation and reset my appointment). When I appeared at the practice this morning at 8:30 for the rescheduled 9:00 appointment, I was told that I was actually scheduled for AUGUST 24th. My advice to any who read this review is to avoid these incompetent people, and find an actual professional and organized rheumatology practice.

I had an appointment set for 1pm on July 27th. I was curious why "My Chart" on Prisma did not show…read morethe appointment which I set over a month ago. So I decided to call them and ask them to put the appointment in the Chart for my primary doctor to see. Well, the same girl that took the appointment just said there was no appointment saved. If you can go anywhere but here maybe a good Idea. I see in another the review the same thing happened to another gal. You wait for months for an appointment only to find out they give your appointment to someone else. Oh and another thing. They just told me their address is not correct on their website. SO why don't they fix it???? I would have never found their office had they not given my appointment away.

In September of 2015 I was scheduled to see a Rheumatologist with an amazing reputation, Ana…read moreFinauriu. Something happened to my appointment and I was rescheduled with a different doctor, Suhail Kumar. I was in considerable pain and I was scared so I did not care. My initial appointment/diagnosis lasted less than 10 minutes and Dr Kumar never touched my joints, nor checked for psoriasis - not once yet diagnosed me with psoriatic arthritis. Over the course of 9 months, I became more and more uncomfortable with the doctor. I even took my husband with me to see if it was just me. During that appointment, I mentioned to Dr. Kumar that I had a friend who was a rhematologist and she suggest I ask him about a certain medication. He became so incensed that I had discussed my care with this other doctor that he quite obviously cut the appointment short and left the room. My husband said "Wow, you really made him mad." I could not believe it. My last appointment with this practice was 9 months after my initial diagnosis. I was in what I now know is called a "Flare" and the pain was enormous. i could not move my elbow at all and was freaking out. When the doctor asked me how I was I told him honestly that I was in some of the worst pain I had ever felt. His reaction? He laughed at me. He said it's just tennis elbow and refused to check it. I explained I had done nothing to stress the elbow and he laughed again. I almost started crying right then and there. The level of condescension was something I had never experienced in a professional setting. He did nothing for me. Explained nothing and that was that. I left the office and sobbed. After I calmed down I decided to call the office manager to discuss it. The secretary who answered the phone asked me the nature of my call and then refused to put me through to the manager when I told her I was upset about the way I had been treated.. She told me it would be pointless because they did not allow doctor switching. I was astounded. I found a new doctor who is fine, but not very thorough. I recently started to really regret that I was never able to see the doctor I was originally supposed to see, Dr. Finariu. I decided last month to try and get through to the office manager, Libby again. I finally got through to her and explained the entire story. I begged her to speak to the doctors in question and make an exception to their no switching policy. I told her I needed the best and that Dr. Finauriu was the best. She promised me she would and that she would be back in touch with me in a day or so. A week passed and nothing so I called back. I begged some more and she promised again to try. I have never been that impassioned over something with a perfect stranger. Libby never would return my call again after that. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone professionally. I understand that rules are in place for a reason. I also understand that occasionally, exceptions can be made in order to make a situation right. I would never recommend dealing with this practice. I have heard from several other people who had the EXACT same experience with the SAME doctor. Why would they want this behavior to go on is beyond me. Shameful.

Was told someone would call me back. I called again that afternoon and was transferred to someone who made me feel like a bother. It was only after I wrote a review did I hear from anyone via email after I emailed them as requested. I finally heard from them on December 1 regarding an appointment. We by the I am so ready for a new PCP, had set an urgent care appointment. I am no so numbed by these people and their attitudes. The young lady that called yesterday was a little irritated because I was irritated that she would be calling me after so long. It was not her fault but come on. This is beyond poor care, and for seniors, this is scary. Somehow they managed to screw up my personal information, my emergency contact information. Note to whomever runs the humble clinic, my recent care deserves a 0. This place should be closed and every employee reevaluated and examined for a CARE pulse. No way I would ever go to Humanas insurance unless God instructed me to.
