One of the first places I went to was Brights Antique World, I was amazed by the size, the inventory, and the friendly staff. Jodi, the manager is always helpful and truly works hard to keep the store running well. Linda and Riley are down to earth hard working people who truly care about their business. They do all sorts of little things to help customers out. They have benches in all the hallways to sit for a spell if you get tired, they have waters and such for a nominal price, they have good lighting and plenty of room to walk in the halls, there is plenty of parking as well. They have the flea market on the first and third Saturday's of the month. Riley works hard to make this an excellent place to shop or sell. It has a roof that not only covers the sellers but the customers as well. The prices of the antiques do vary and are competitive, especially when you consider a trip to McDonald's for two averages between $20-$25. Life is expensive these days!

We asked to see an item in a display case to which we bought, as well as several other items. While my wife was waiting on the lady to get back with the key, I walked down the aisle looking at other booths. My wife catches up later and told me that lady is extremely grumpy. I didn't think much about it until we were checking out. The cashier rang up our items and all we had were $100 dollar bills. The change part of the total was 17 cents and my wife said "I have exact change if that will help". The cashier took the change and this manager came over and said, "give me that, she is just trying to mess you up". I waited until everything was finished and we were given the receipt. Then I told the manager the statement she made was uncalled for. She said that it wasn't and sarcastically told me to have a good day. I said, "really, that is how you treat customers? What did we do wrong? She told me to have a good day again (as sarcastically as she could) and to not come back. Well, there are no worries there. We just thought we would check out some antique stores on the way back from the Springfield Antique Show

My…read moreparents ordered a graveside wreath with a variety of flowers of several colors; my wife and I ordered a potted arrangement of lilies and other white flowers; and my sister ordered the arrangement to go on top of the casket. All three were arranged beautifully, and I know that my brother -- who loved flowers and gardening in general -- would have thought they were truly lovely. If I had been in my right mind at the time, I would have taken some pictures to post here. Naturally, I wasn't. We got to know the owners and others who work at the shop, and they were all very nice, caring people. Their shop is neatly organized, and they have a variety of home and garden decorations to choose from. If you need flowers arranged, or if you're looking for ways to beautify your home, check them out.
