I would like to share with all dog owners and everyone in general about a really bad, frustrating and costly situation my family and I experienced with Must Love Paws dog day care and boarding center on 9th St in Corvallis, and would like to make other dog owners aware and caution against using them for your daycare or boarding needs. We have used this center for boarding a couple times for our dog. The first time we took our boy Diesel there it seemed good, he came home a little dehydrated and got an ear infection but we were aware that he was going to be around other dogs and risk of illness existed, so didn't think much of it. The second time we took him was this past weekend 5/2-5/5, this is when our nightmare began. We picked up our boy on Monday 5/5/2025 around 3:00 pm and everything seemed fine. The employees didn't tells is anything about Diesels weekend when we picked him up, so we figured he had a good weekend there. A few hours after we got home my husband was petting Diesel and he noticed that he had a huge lump, the size of a golf ball on his left side. Thinking the worst (since boxers are prone to get cancer), we thought that was it. We called our vet and they suggested we take him in to get it looked at. When the Vet looked at the lump she let is know that he had a dog bite that got infected and some scratches. That took us by surprise because we were not informed by must love paws that he was bit. After 6 hours at the vet and a huge vet bill I decided to go the next day to talk to the owner of Must Love Paws to try and get some answers. When I informed her that we had to take Diesel to the vet because of a dog bite he got while he was in their care, she started to get defensive telling me that my dog was put on their aggressive list and had to be kenneled the whole weekend because he started the fight with another dog. You would think that if your dog was in a dog fight you would get a call from the facility that he was boarding at but nope that never happened. Not once over the weekend were we called or informed that he was in a fight , let alone that he was injured in the process. We as dog owners ( 10+ years now here) know our babies and know if our dog is aggressive or not. The owner then proceeds to tell me that I should try to take him to the park more often so he can be around other dogs, we are at crystal lake park about 5 days out of the week... i am sure some of you have seen us with him there and most likely our boy has tried to or has played with your fur babies. He is not aggressive at all!! She then tells me that he beat up the other dog Jack pretty bad and tried to scare me by telling me that if Jacks parents wanted her to give them our info so we can pay for their vet bills she could. Not once did she take responsibility for not letting us know about the injury our boy received! Three days later and another big vet bill later, my husband decided to go back to Must Love Paws and try to get them to own up to their negligence and for them to admit that they failed to take care of our boy like they said they would but the owner again did not! Instead she kept saying she doesn't even need to pay victims vet bills but that in the past she has because "it's the right thing to do". But offered to give us $500 if we promised to not give her bad reviews online. She also informed my husband that she has only one employee working there during the day, which is not a good thing because they have about 20+ dogs inclosed in a small area all at once. She then contradicted herself by telling my husband that they checked both dogs after the fight and they did not notice any injuries but when i spoke with her she was telling me that Diesel beat up the other dog pretty bad! Her story kept changing, so we know she was trying to cover it up. The simple fact that they completely neglected to tell us about the injury our pup received while in their care is not okay. I urge you to not use this place for day care or boarding for your fur babies! I wish I had gone online and read their reviews before using them because this has happened to others before and the owner also admitted to it. But when confronted about it she will try to blame your dog. Clearly this has been an ongoing issue and it most likely will not change because they only have one person working during the day and that person is responsible for watching over 20+ dogs at a time! read more

Zero stars. Nothing brings me greater peace of mind than to report how asinine and potentially dangerous this business is. If you have boarded your dog and want to pick it up on a Sunday, you'd better be there by 2pm, because otherwise... you can't have your dog. Hmmmm. Logically it follows that there is not a human to open the door, hence your dog is now unsupervised... which would certainly explain all the other reviews stating that the staff were mystified by injuries the animals sustained... *in their absence*. We brought our energetic dog for a weekend boarding. She was very happy and very tired when we brought her home.

I bring my doggo in every Friday. He knows what day it is and practically loses his mind with excitement. He will be at the front door desperate to get to the car. We first drop off the kid, then head to Must Love Paws. He's usually mellow in the car, except these Fridays! We also kennel him there when needed, and every year for a week over Thanksgiving. I love that the staff knows him, the owner is always responsive and friendly, they have the "regulars" pictures on the wall, and my pooch is thrilled to be there. read more

Picked up our sweet loving pup after having him boarded 2 days while visiting family in Corvallis. The employee who returned with our dog asked "was he limping when you brought him in here". He was not limping before - we couldn't help but notice his swollen leg with what looked like a puncture wound. We looked at it further when we got back to my brother's house and he was clearly bit by another dog. The bite mark was very infected and his whole body was shivering. We called the facility and was told they didn't know how it happened or when it happened. The employee stated over the phone that it was very obvious he was limping when he went to retrieve him - how does something like this go unnoticed by others? How did no one see what happened? We are now having to bring him to our vet 8 hours away - it will be an expensive vet bill since they will have to give him anesthesia to treat the infected bite mark. We asked Must Love Paws if they cover any vet bills or can refund the 2 day stay - the owner doesn't return until Thursday so we will see. Extra note 1: The morning of the first day he was there, we called to ask for him to be put in the kennel until we were able to pick him up and to not play with other dogs after reading the reviews from others (we should have read them before hand, I know). Extra note 2: We gave the facility a big bag of dog food for our pups stay but there was none left when we picked him up. We always bring extra food just in case any situation arises. We buy him expensive quality dog food because he has a lot of allergies. Was he even given the food we brought? Do not bring your dog here. Read the reviews others have posted (not many ). read more

Thank God we found this place!! Visiting our son at OSU and had our 6 month old puppy with us. Thought we would give this a try- so we could go shopping without worrying about him. This place is awesome!!! He had so much fun playing with other pups! Took him back the next day and he almost jumped out of the truck and his tail was wagging so much! He loved it! I would like to respond to the review by Jan L. who decided to give a 1 star rating. I was the dog groomer who did your dog. When he came in the dog was completely matted due to the extremely curly coat. The dog had not been brushed at all and it took me over 3 hours to complete him. The tail could not be de-matted without me hurting your dog which I refused to do, thus that is why he had more of a poodle tail. There was also a lot of matting which when shaved can cause irritation on some dogs. Unfortunately golden doodles come in all coat types and the coat of your dog is tough to work on especially if they are not brought in on a regular basis. Your dog should be groomed at least every 2 to 3 weeks especially if you want to keep them longer. I have been a dog groomer for over 16 years and take pride in my work. I would advise learning how to brush your dog appropriately and also to get him groomed more often. I only feel it is right to explain my side of the story since yours was very one-sided. I left my seven-year-old pup there in their care for four days. I did bring his own pillows, blankets, one of my hoodies and his own kennel so he could feel safe. It looks like a doggy jail. None of the food from his bag had been used, he has several allergies and when I picked him up he immediately relieved himself outside on the post. It was so dark yellow it looked like he hadn't had water or urinated in at least 12 hours. I went back in and asked the staff the last time he went out, they said it was shift change and they had no idea. It's the only time I have ever boarded my fur baby and I'm not sure if I ever will again. read more

I went into the business and they treated my princess dog awfully. I tried to take my dog back and she was whining and barking. Which basically told me NOT TO SEND ME TO YOUR COMPANY. I have a lot of respect for my little dog and she never makes the wrong decisions. Time for a new doggie daycare where my little princess can be treated with respect. read more

Do not trust them with you're pets. My dog came back with numerous cuts including on his face. He lost approximately 7 pounds in a week even though they said he ate all of his food. Upon bringing my dog to the vet they said he got kennel cough too. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. I rescued a little frenchie running down ninth street in August of 2021. Thankfully was able to grab him before he ran into traffic, but he was terrified and dangerously overheated. He escaped from Must Love Paws and they didn't even notice until his owners tried to pick him up later that day and he wasn't there. Thankfully we reunited him safely with his family. I have felt the need to leave this review after now learning that this is a fairly common occurrence at this place and that staff do not notice when dogs go missing or care that their lives are put at risk. I dropped off my pup, Elle, this morning. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The place is nicely designed and is very clean. They took Elle into the very large group pen, and she immediately had fun playing with the other dogs. They have a nice big window that you can watch your dog from to make sure they are happy. They also have super flexible drop-off and pick-up times. read more

I have entrusted my dog with Must Love Paws and couldn't be more happy. I have a hard time getting my dog to leave. The staff truly loves each dog and caters to their individual needs. I witnessed so much love given to my baby that I don't have to worry about him. I am kept informed if anyone notices anything of concern about him as well. The place is clean, HUGE, clean water outside available at all times, all of the dogs seem to enjoy playing and running around. They also wear masks and disinfect, I witnessed this. I'm not sure what to think of this place. I went in to check it out and I found one guy working and about 12 dogs in the play area. Nobody with them and the place was dimly lit . I commented on the playing with dogs and he said that no that he didn't play with them and they where too loud. Also they only have dog park play on Sunday. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! The first time that I've been to this facility, was about two years ago. A family member dropped off our dog for the day, and when we picked her up there were no concerns. Recently for the weekend, we were trying to find a last-minute place for us to board our dog (a different one) for two nights. I thought of this place, since we've been here before and it's a pretty easy process to get in. that should've been my first red flag. All we had to bring is her vaccination records, that were all up-to-date. when I walked in, I thought it was very odd that nobody was at the front desk. I figured that maybe they were in the back with the dogs, but I went ahead and just grabbed the paperwork that was at the front and started filling it out. Finally the lady came upfront and was very nice. she went over the paperwork once I was done and they took my dog back. two days past, and I went to go pick her up. I was obviously very excited to see my dog, and when I walked in to no surprise, nobody was at the front desk again. There was a little sign saying to come on back, so I went ahead and did so. there's a window where you could see all the dogs playing, and when I looked, I was not happy at all. Their "play area" is just a concrete floor (which is awful for the dogs paws), there were no toys, I didn't see any water, and all the dogs look so overwhelmed and stressed. I saw my dog, who is normally very playful due to her being young, and she was in the corner just frightened. Seeing my dog in that situation/environment, made me very anxious so I started looking for an employee. One finally appeared, i'm not sure from where, and she asked me who I was there to pick up. I told her my dogs name and she grabbed my leash and let me back to the room. When I entered through the doors, I can't describe how humid and god-awful the smell was. It had to be at least 75 to 80° in that room, and just reeked of dog urine. there was another employee that was in the same playpen, that was mopping up I'm assuming what was urine. I receive my dog and she looked awful. She normally has a very soft coat, which turned into a rough and musty feeling. Her sides were sunken in (keep in mind she was only there for TWO DAYS). her tongue was dark colored, she smelled awful and you can tell she was so anxious. I was very upset and I just wanted to get out of there. I went ahead and paid and when we got to the car, I instantly went and got her water. she drank almost a whole water bottle. after getting her some new toys, new bones and a good bath, it took her a whole 24 hours to be herself again. you could just tell by looking at her that she was in poor condition. fast forward to a week, my dog started coughing and yakking a lot. I thought that it was possibly her having something in her throat, but after dealing with the emergency vet, she just has kennel cough. we don't take her to the park, so I wonder where she got it from? probably from this poor facility. please remember that animals are also family members. They deserve the best treatment possible in this place is far from that. Please take your animal far away from here and learn from my mistake. sorry for any typos, I am just so livid. read more

I don't know how I feel about this place. I post this review in the hopes that they will change. The two times I've gone there they have left dogs unattended in the play area for longer than 30 mins. Even when they are around, they aren't monitoring play styles or pairing suitable play partners and styles. The dogs didn't have access to a reliable water source. There were clearly some distressed dogs that were left alone in the play area to manage on their own. I wouldn't bring my dog here unless they hired more workers and made a rule that stated someone must always be in the play area. On top of that, they have let dogs in without verifying vet records. It's quite carelessly managed and honestly a danger to the dogs. read more

Found Must Love Paws when visitng Corvallis to watch an OSU game. We make almost every home game and drive in from Seattle to do so. Our pooch hates being left at home! If the game timing is during the day I found that I can drop him off here and pick him up after the game! Well we brought Brutus in and they took great care of my little guy. Owner is so sweet and dogs looked all happy and were playing like a big school yard! What a great service to have an indoor dog park where we can leave our babies for a little while! This is my favorite doggie daycare and boarding place in the Albany Corvallis area. My puppers loves it here and we have boarded him here a few times. Each time he is happy and healthy when we come back. This is still a fairly new place and they are working the new business out. There was a review mentioning the urine smell which I have experienced but they have had carpet cleaners come out and clean the green turf they have down recently. When I went in today they have a curtain up so that the dogs aren't at the fence greeting you. This is a wonderful place and great people. My dog is short haired so I have not have him groomed here therefore I cannot say anything about that. Must love paws is amazing and a must visit with your dog. Did I mention they have beer? Because they do! You can sit and have a pint and enjoy... well dogs barking (they also have TVs), but still, they have beer! read more
