I was unfortunately really not impressed with my visit.
Gone are the days where a trip to Warwick meant a good tasty feed at mussels.
The coffee, too hot, milk scalded and I'm sure the machine needs a good clean. To my horror when the 'barista' was asked to fix someones coffee she said 'I dont drink coffee so i dont know what it should taste like'. Are you kidding me... you dont have to drink it to know when youve stuffed it up. A cuppacino should not be a shot of coffee with all the foam you can make piled on top.
Tip 1 - invest in a barista who gives a crap about her coffee and the customers shes serving too.
Tip 2 - customers dont give a crap if you dont drink it just if you make it properly.
I ordered lasagne. After waiting 20mins for our food I get told sorry no lasagne. If my kids hadnt of already gotten there food and started eaten we would have left.
So instead I pick the crumbed chicken.
Tip 3 - Dont choose the crumbed chicken.
I thought maybe it would be like a schnitzel. Nope nope nope. Flattened slivers of chicken with the crumb thicker than the chicken. Then deep fried. In the same oil that they apparently deepfry everything in. Their fish , there chips, there dagwood.dogs.
I dont know how you stuff up up chicken but they really really did.
My sons dagwood dog he refused to eat because he doent actually eat fish which is what his dagwood dog taste like.
How do you make what is essentially meat on a stick taste like fish.
Too bad if you have a seafood allergy, oh thats right my older son does. Lucky he had a pie...
Mussels you used to be great. When did you hire people who dont care what your customers are getting.
Gone are the days when you struggled to get a seat here, now there are seats a plenty. And the prices are over pricedfor the quality of food you get.
TL:DR - try somewhere else read more
