Hubby likes checking out dive bars and this fit the bill. No food. Bartender didn't understand the question "What's your well whiskey or bourbon?" Blank stare. Finally asked if they had any whiskey and she pulled a bottle from the shelf. Not familiar with the brand. Wine from boxes only. Stick with beer. We would not be denied a decent time so put some credits in the music machine and played a couple games of pool. If you go with low expectations you won't be disappointed.

It's Old School club, social meeting place, karaoke bar, dance club, etc. it's SO many more things all wrapped up into one "hell of a time ". The bartenders there are "Top Notch" & can do it all: Pro mixologists, unofficial counselors, local real-time information source, super friendly, and plain down to earth party directors. Gotta give major props to Krissie the bartender who I recently met there. She is hands down the "the Total Package" and a real life "Unicorn" (see Crazy Hot Matrix). Not only a great bartender but smart, friendly, sweet, has a great attitude & personality, and works very hard to see that you have the best time ever. Oh, and by the way, she's also "drop dead" gorgeous! Definitely my favorite club in Ely, NV (pronounced: EELEE) and home of the famous "Silver State Classic Challenge" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/. Where they actually close down a 90 mile (140km) stretch of State Route 318 for a authorized time-trial "Cannonball Run " - style race that attracts racers from all over the world! So if you're ever cruising Hwy 50 in east central Nevada https://travelnevada.com/road-trips/loneliest-road-in-america/, Ely, NV & Club Rio are a definite destination you have to experience. P.S. Make sure to say "Hi" to Krissie!

If you're a shuffleboard nut like me you might find cringe at the table. It takes some getting used to but it's fine for a casual game. There's a Touch Tunes machine but I didn't use it because I didn't think they'd want to hear my ska music. I'm only giving it three stars just because I didn't fully experience it. If I went back a few more times maybe my rating would go up. Or maybe it would go down. It's risky that way.

They have games for people to play and one of the most drunk people I've ever seen wanted to play cribbage because me and my coworker had dug it out. He kept saying "respect the Crib." The Crib is the extra hand the dealer gets to score alternating between dealers each hand, and can (in some cases) make or break a game, so this old dude was sort of correct.
