Not that it should matter but I am a three time combat vet who has some difficulty in crowded and loud spaces. My wife sat in the parking lot looking at different music stores and their online inventory. We came upon The music Store on East Elm. Quick call to verify stock and then we drove down. Chuck greeted us as we entered, and took us to the guitar we wanted to look at. When the guitar was not what we wanted he actually listened and then spent quite a bit of time showing us options. He even gave us a great price. I would highly recommend this business. All the employees were great. Will shop there again.

Someone gave me the head's up about the Hospice Flea Market. First off, I didn't really know where Haw River was. And the first time I took the trek out trying to find it, it seemed like I was lost. And then there it was--this HUGE thrift store in an understated shopping mall. We walked in and there is a huge variety of nearly everything! Books are nicely organized and rightly priced. Need some holiday decor--they have plenty! If you need anything for someone who has been incapacitate or needs additional nursing care, you're likely to find it here. What you WON'T FIND is clothing!!!!! So if you're looking for that, keep on driving and go to their sister-store in Burlington (Hospice League Clothing Store). What I love is that there are some hidden gems here. Their pricing is surprisingly high and there is no negotiation. But what is important is that you are supporting an AMAZING cause. So who doesn't mind paying a premium price for that? Check it out! And support them.

Cash America is one the worst and most inconsistent pawn shops in Greensboro. The store associates…read moregive you the run around whenever you come in to pawn or sell an item (one day they say they will accept an item, then when you get there they say they aren't accepting said item). The associates also seem to be overly selective with who they choose to do business with, even if it is a profitable item you are looking to sell or pawn. They use the "we have enough of that in our inventory" excuse quite often with certain people, I've noticed. If you are looking for a reasonable pawn shop in the Greensboro area to sell/pawn items, I highly recommend National Pawn and Jewelry on Battleground Ave. The associates there are way more friendly and willing to work with you. Even if you have an item that they may have "too much of" in their inventory, they will still work with you and give you a reasonable amount of money. Cash America Pawn is a joke.
