This is one of the most difficult and unfriendly museums I've ever been to. And I've been here before over the years but before this renovation.
Now they have this check in system that's sort of functional but not great. You get this small piece of paper with a code to use to get into rooms. Ridiculous. Open the museum and make it easy for everyone. Especially since you don't allow bags, where should women keep this ticket?
Then they have this thing where you have to put stuff in a locker. But the lockers barely work and many people think theirs is locked but it isn't. So your purse isn't actually safe. Insane.
Then the restrooms aren't well marked so the ladies room is coed because the men can't figure out where theirs is. Also ridiculous. And since it's all been recently renovated none of this is necessary. You can have well marked restrooms. You can have lockers that are better and safer. You can quit assuming people are bad, especially women who tend to carry purses, and let them carry their bag with them. It feels like this no bag rule is aimed at women, which isn't a good feeling, especially for the price you pay to enter.
Take some of the space you have made for the coffee shop - using valuable museum space - and make a system when you check bags so people don't have to put them into lockers. Or take some of the museum shop space. You have plenty of room to be much more friendly to your guests.
You should be much more client focused. Much. You are technically here for us. We help keep you open. read more
