It wasn't about the food and the drinks but it definitely made it a more relaxing session. Both Sophie and Isra were very helpul esp for someone who is not as artistically-gifted as my fiancé. Isra reassured me that even when I messed up my canvas and over-painted, I should trust the process. She was right and my painting turned out decently. read more

He explained the different brushes and materials included for the seating and he was engaging and thoughtful made sure he checked in on my group so kodus! This was my first time and my friend and I had so much fun. This particular visit, my friend had so many questions and Chris patiently answered them. Wonderful experience even though I don't have any artistic talent. I took my kids here for family day. My little one went kind of rogue and did her own thing at the end of it, but my eldest really engaged and did a BEAUTIFUL job. The instruction was clear and nicely paced. The artists were super friendly and would walk around either helping or offering supportive commentary. I wouldn't recommend the pretzel bites personally - I found them kind of hard and they had a weird kind of plastic taste. BUT, that aside, I'd try other food items here next time I go. This was my first time ever doing a paint night. My friends and I each bought our tickets online where one can see the drawings lineup by day. Also we had the option of choosing to sit by ourselves or as part of a group - that way you can ensure that you all sit together. When having a group of 10 people, a private session can be arranged. Our table had room for 6 people and I'm assuming all tables are the same. Each person's station had a blank canvas and painting supplies ready. They also have additional paint and blow dryers throughout the room. There was one instructor who broke down the process of getting to the final result into very easy steps and she demonstrated while explaining as well. It just happens that some people are more artistic than others lol. There was also one person walking around to help with supplies needs or take drinks/ food orders. They do recommend arriving early to enjoy drinks and food, as well as offer a few breaks in between steps. I had a good time; however, I have a few reasons for the 3 stars: - no food or drinks are included with the ticket price. They could've included at least a glass of wine with a $30 purchase. - space was crammed. I constantly worried that someone will get their paint on me. - our painting included some paint splatter but they didn't even provide gloves and thus everyone's hands were dirty. Again for a $30 ticket, gloves could have been provided. - $30 is the cheapest ticket I've seen, but they do go higher. Anyway the experience was fun, but not sure it warrants the cost. read more

Long overdue review. It was a walk-in for a third date. I had no idea what to expect but we both were like well let's give it a try and laugh at the paintings later. We left pleased with the artist's instructions and paintings that did not look that terrible. This was my first time painting in years and I cannot even draw a building but with the instructions, I came out with something I am personally proud of and it was my third successful date. I highly recommend this place! Every single member of the staff is so full of life, creativity and energy! They are so helpful in getting you to create a masterpiece and have a great time. The house red wine was awesome and cheap (under 6 bucks). I would recommend that. I would also recommend signing up way in advanced to assure you get into the paint night you want. If you get 10 people to register you get a private paint night where you can choose any canvas and get instructions on how to paint it from the artist that's working that day! I've always contemplated participating in a paint night but talk myself out of it since I'm not an "artsy" person per say. Boy was I wrong! My coworkers decided to go to Muse on a Friday night and luckily I had a gift certificate! When you're booking online you put the certificate number in the voucher/coupon code box. Upon entering we found our names placed on the canvas we would be using. We were greeting by both the instructor Zach & a lovely lady (can't remember her name) that helped us throughout the painting process. First off ZACH IS AWESOME. I legit was nervous and he simplified all the techniques and ways to mix up the paint to make the colors we needed. He was funny, quirky & allowed us to annoy him and interject random comments during our paint night. He would transition us between stages of painting with FUN music. He made the whole experience worth the 45$ and more. We did a magical forest painting and my coworkers and I were worried about all the trees but LET ME TELL YOU, with Zach's simple instructions our trees came out FANTASTIC! My husband didn't even believe I painted the canvas myself. All in all 5/5, would definitely go again. Wish they could offer maybe fun non-alcoholic drinks-NBD but would probably make me spend some money while we are there since the process takes a few hours. read more

What a fun place for any type of get together - family parties, birthdays, etc. Loved the customer service here! They hosted two parties at once and you felt like you were the only party there. The instructor was engaging and entertaining. They allow you to bring outside food in for the party, but they also serve wine and appetizers which are delish. I visited Muse on 5/13/21 for the 7:00 pm Sunset painting with my mom. We ordered two glasses of wine from the guy working the bar and he seemed rude from the start. The group had already started painting and instead of just taking my order and saying he would bring it out he made me wait 5+ minutes while he was doing other things. He said we could take our masks off while drinking (BTW we were 6ft apart and fully vaccinated) and then he proceeded to just sit and watch us every time we didn't put the mask on the first second after we were done sipping to correct us (felt like he was glaring, never actually assisting or guiding with the painting process). As if he were a teacher that took joy in scolding the kids. Then when we were done painting the lady scooped up our wine glasses which were still half full and threw them away... not even asking us if we were done or if we wanted to finish before leaving. The lead painter wasn't great. She went way too fast, at times didn't show the color she mixed so we had no visual clues as to what the color should be. She never paused and asked if there were any questions and just kept rushing things through as if she has somewhere else to be. She even kept instructing us after the fire alarm was going off very loudly for over 10 minutes.... this is the opposite of relaxing. The environment should be fun, laid back and relaxing. Not rushed. The employees were not engaged and I'm sure you could find better staff that are more enthusiastic and engaged to work at such a cool place. If there were better staff there that evening I'm sure it would have been a much better experience. read more

Made reservation online they send me an email saying they could only make party reservations for 10 people and called because it was only 3 of us and they said just go and they will have space for you guys because they have a lot of seats. I was very clear with the lady over the phone she never mentioned you have to have 10 people otherwise they don't make reservation for you. Never again will try to book a party there even if I had 10 people the customers service at this place was not helpful at all. Came here for a ladies night out and to try some different and I must say I had a good time. Got to this place at about 6:25 pm and the door was locked. With it being my first time, I wasn't aware they open at 6:30pm but the kind lady inside decided to let me in because it was in super cold out. I had reservations and our table was set up in a room, staff was very nice and explained everything step by step. There is a wine and a small menu to eat while you paint. Went there Friday night for a girls night and had a great time. Maria and Chris were awesome and helped along the way. Maria was a great instructor and went slow enough to get the Japanese Magnolia masterpiece painted. Chris walked around to assist and keep drinks flowing when asked. Disappointed.......Unethical / unprofessional in their business practices.....GO to ANOTHER MUSE.....the credit of $80 for 2 people was extended in February due to icy conditions - thats fair - and we were traveling an hour away, that's fine, but learned today they will no longer allow us to use the credit after we reached out dozens of times, THEY WERE AWARE of this because they replied but their reply ended in SPAM. Overall, GREAT experience and I will be back. I recommend going here for sure! However, my very first impression of Muse was not great because I was confused; I was not sure where to go when I arrived, no one with a uniform or name tag was in sight, and it was really crowded. You can tell the place is brand new by this. I stood in a long line to what appeared to be the main counter, but it wound up being the wine bar. I was told to look for my name at the tables, so it was worth the wait in line. Then, bathrooms had no marking-- peeking behind each closed door, I found one. I found my name and went in search of an apron. Five minutes before the start, the instructor introduced herself. The atmosphere has a very energetic "vibe." I love how all of the paintings were displayed everywhere. The menu looked great, with a wide variety of interesting items, but I had already eaten. The rest of my time there, once we got started, I had a great time! The instructor and her assistant were great, very attentive, and helpful. Everyone's painting turned out great, and the staff was quick to offer helping further, taking pictures, etc. I will be coming back. Next time, I'll bring someone with me and come hungry! There were actually a few men there too, mostly as part of a couple-- maybe I'll bring my husband. I would recommend clearer markings for staff, bathrooms, supplies (hair dryers), etc. I would request more "paint your pet" sessions since that's the session I really wanted, but it was booked. My next choice, paint a wine glass, wasn't available at all on the Gainesville location schedule, so more of those too, please. I have only done 1 paint and sip event prior to this event in which I did paint my pet. I was fairly concerned about how my dog would turn out. I love her after all and wanted to do her justice. Luckily, for paint my pet they sketch it out in advance and are readily available to help you with your painting as much or as little as you want. I needed a lot of help and Zach was more than happy to help, he saved my painting. It also doesn't hurt that they have food and alcohol on site as well! Our party was sat at a high top table with stools that have no back. There's barely any room on the tables so you have to reach around things - and my 6 year old son lost his balance and fell from the high stool and hit his head. I told the instructor that he fell and her response was " I saw that" . After calming my son down and getting him back on the seat we were rather behind on the painting so I helped him catch up so he could finish his painting. The session ended so I never even got to go back to finish my own. I recommended that high top tables and high stools with no back were not the most appropriate choice for a small child. I was told I should have notified them that we needed special accommodations and that we had a 6 year old coming (it was family day). I had never been here so I had absolutely no idea what their seating arrangements were like. 6 year olds were allowed at the event so I assumed accommodations would be appropriate. I asked to speak with the manager to see if maybe they would give me a discount or something on a future painting since I was not able to complete my painting but was told no the best he could do was just finish the painting himself or send me home with some black paint to finish it myself. I'm honestly disgusted by the lack of care or compassion that these people had and extremely disappointed in their poor customer service. I'll be sure to choose a different company for our next adventure - and will encourage my friends to do the same. read more

My wife and I signed up for a painting here on a Saturday night. We honestly hadn't had a true date in a couple years due to kids/work/etc and this was our way of reconnecting as a couple. I'm going to tell you that if you are looking for something for you and your girlfriend/wife/friend to enjoy together then you would be hard pressed to find something more appropriate or accommodating. My wife and I left here after the session feeling good about the time we had and what we created. They had basic bottled beer and some wine varieties but honestly it's more about the painting experience. Drink the beer at BJs brewhouse and then paint at Muse. read more

When you first walk in, it is impossible to miss the wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor paintings! Loved this about the place and this alone will inspire anyone to want to jump in and have fun. Plan your day to make sure the painting that day is one you want to do. Or, coordinate nine or more of your closest friends and pick any painting you want! The attention to detail and guiding the group through each painting can easily make anyone of us an artist. The staff are friendly, and there is also a food and drink menu to choose from...I recommend the calzone option. Everyone is grouped by small tables, so you really can't see anyone else's paintings, and they cannot see yours... Some people like this, but I prefer to connect with my friends along the way and share, simply by sitting in a row of a long table (not offered here). It may seem like quite a time commitment, but I can assure you it flies by so fast! I highly recommend this experience, and I totally recommend coordinating with a few of your closest friends to enjoy it all the more. read more
