Which usually would be no big deal, but I also dislocated my knee cap. Within 30 seconds 3 ushers appeared wanting to know how they could help, as I sat there crying "I don't know but I'm NOT missing the end of the show! The hospital will be open when the show is over!" These amazing ladies, who I wish I knew their names to thank individually, literally ran and got me a wheelchair & wheeled me into an accessible seat for the remainder of the show & I didn't even miss a single song! Thank you to those wonderful ushers who helped me.

I was having a genuinely amazing time bowling with friends. Smooth lanes, good vibes, and what felt like the start of a fun night out. But then the clock struck the end of our game... and the energy in the building flipped real quick. As we were wrapping up -- casually clearing pins and rolling the remaining bowling balls back like anyone would -- we were approached by a family who claimed they worked there. A husband, wife, and their son, all of whom were bowling themselves. What followed was an unnecessary, condescending lecture that left us all confused and honestly a little disrespected. It's one thing to be corrected -- it's another to be treated like a nuisance when you're literally just finishing your hour and doing no harm. If they do work there, maybe they should be taught how to speak to paying customers without acting like the place belongs only to them. And let's not ignore the food situation. I ordered donut holes. Simple, right? Should be quick. But I waited way longer than necessary. No apology, no update -- just cold indifference from the staff. At one point, the place felt almost unstaffed, and when you finally do get someone's attention, you're met with short replies and annoyed faces. I wanted to love this place. I was ready to tell everyone Galaxy Strikes was a hidden gem in Warrenton. But the way it ended? Left a bad taste in my mouth -- and not just because of the stale service. Bowling might be solid, but the people? That's what turns strikes into straight-up gutter balls.

When we arrived, we were able to get the tickets at the gate. $20 for 24 tickets, which was a great deal. Most of the food is ranging from 3-5 tickets and the beer is 5 tickets, wine 6 tickets! Very reasonable price. We started with 24 tickets for each person! Few of the highlights were: melting pot, Barcelona wine bar , egg Kreme and the wine cabinet. The only down side with this event was a lot of vendors ran out of food by 8PM, when the event supposed to go until 11!

Tickets were $25 for early birds, $35 at the gate. Price of admission included a 2 oz. glass and 6 tickets for tastings. Additional tickets could be purchased for $2 each. The mashed potato cheese balls were $6 for 4, but totally worth it. I was full after 2 and glad to split it with my husband. It went great with beer. Saw people walking around with necklaces strung with pretzels, which I thought was clever. Didn't see anyone selling them, so I assume those folks brought their own to snack on while sampling beers. This year over 50 breweries and half a dozen cideries participated. The breweries included international and Virginia ones. Many of the Virginia breweries were local to Northern Virginia. Most breweries offered at least 2 selections. The most prevalent selections had fall themes such as Octoberfest and Pumpkin. In addition to the brewery booths, there were booths for food, arts and crafts, political candidates, cigars, and sales of various products. There also was live entertainment. The beerfest was well attended and crowded. Some of the breweries had long lines but they moved reasonably fast. I'd recommend the beerfest to beer lovers and advise you to arrive early because some of the selections do run out later.
