Not only did I learn new yoga techniques and meet new, like-minded people, the location of the retreat was perfect! Miranda had clearly thought of each and every detail, allowing us to have some time each day - individual or group - in the surrounding nature - from streams to a hike guided by a local, to the grounds of the retreat center. Namaste in Nature's micro-retreats to guided hikes/yoga experieces are amazing as well. It's a great way to explore an area of WNC in full! Namaste in Nature has already researched the best driving route, the best time to go to avoid crowds on the trail, the hidden "pool" off the trail, the best photo opps, and more. Leave it to the experts at Namaste in Nature to maximize your time in Western North Carolina! You will be delighted!

Yes, my cousin brought cookies, hats and a candle from my mom and sister, and there was singing after yoga. Amy was in charge of our small group and made it a fantastic experience. She took photos of us too and made sure we had the best shots (and accommodated our suggestions). Doing yoga and then staring up into the blue sky surrounded by perfectly colored trees, oh so idyllic. Please, please do this if you were thinking about it. It's well worth your time and money.

Always bustling with activity, Pritchard Park is sort of the unofficial gathering place for locals…read moreand tourists alike visiting the cities downtown area. It is, quite simply, one of my favorite places to just sit and chill anywhere in the world. There are local artists selling their goods, people playing chess, street performers trying to make a buck from a wide variety of talents (some insane and others clever) and almost always a musician pouring out their soul for all to hear. During our visit there was a young lady who's music reminded me of Tracy Chapman. Why she doesn't have a recording contract is a mystery, but I can tell you not only was her voice divine and lyrics heartfelt, she also commanded a large crowd that DID NOT MOVE from their seats while listening to song after song. I could have stayed to listen to her all day and two weeks later still regret not buying one of her CD's. Other times this park hosts what is known as the Drum Circle, which is equivalent to New Orleans random Second Line dance parties that break out in various spots around the city. An amazingly good time where everyone young and old dance to the thunderous rhythm of the dozens of drums or join in on playing the drums themselves: Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=lDZp68zjfTc SIDE NOTE: There IS a homeless element here, but as far as I can tell they are mostly harmless. My wife and I have a heart for the homeless and pray other who see them will not disregard them. Tragedy befalls us all and some just don't handle it as well as others. I sought one out after dinner to give him a few of the Korean wings I purposely didn't eat from our meal @ nearby Blue Flame Curry House. So good by the way! FINAL THOUGHTS Looking for the heart and soul of Asheville, come here!!! Taste and see what living feels like through life in its purest form... dancing, singing and laughing as one! Asheville to me feels like what humanity was always meant to be: All races all creed all nationalities enjoying life... TOGETHER. 2018/81

My guide was Blake Okelly, and this was the best fishing trip of my life. Also about half the price of other guides I called. Blake taught me how to fly fish and despite it being one of the hardest stream conditions to fish that day (which he had warned me about and suggested we could go another day prior to my confirmation), we were the only anglers pulling fish out of the stream out of about 9 people in the area. The people around me probably thought I was a fishing pro or something but it was actually my first time fly fishing. Blake was also the best tour guide ever and gave me the history of the little mountain towns. This was the most novel and unforgettable experience ever for my first trip to North Carolina. Blake exemplified what a perfect guide should be. I trusted him completely and learned things I will never forget. I might actually try to hire him at some point because he is just a special person. I got to speak with Doug also who owns the business and he was extremely easy to talk to and to get everything set up. All you will need is a fishing license. Will never forget this incredible experience!! I rarely write reviews on google but wanted to sit down and give these hard working guys the review they deserve.
