The Giardiniera with cured meats made a spicy and savory sandwich. Drinks were separate which was perfectly fine, they had a large selection of sodas and beers. Service was speedy, the staff engaged in conversation and were friendly. They even took time to explain their daily specials menu when we asked about it. Ambiance was laid back. They had art for sale on the wall, I particularly remember the painting of the blues brothers and another of Anthony bourdain, products were easily visible and the meat counter had a plethora of meats to weigh and purchase. Would come here again, i merited a 4 because we arrived for a lunch and I would say it would be nice if they had a combination deal with a sandwich chips and beverage.

While I'll never knock those little spots we've found throughout the midwest, I have to say that I'm shocked to admit that the small chain of Freddy's is one of the best around, consistently. After a hell of a day, my wife and I wanted consistency. We Yelped our way into this Freddy's and it was incredible. The double cheeseburger with just the right amount of mustard, crunchy pickle slices and melty cheese is perfection. It's just greasy enough but not sickeningly so. The little shoestring fries are a nice touch too and go great with the table top seasoning and spicy aioli. I love Freddy's and this one put out one of the best burgers I've had in a while.
