I recently purchased a Lincoln MKZ from Murphy Ford. As a bit of a primer, I can be a critical person when it comes to purchasing goods. While I certainly don't try to act obnoxiously, I can internally find fault with even very good service. I've had some terrible experiences with car dealerships in the past. In my experiences, I've felt like I needed to take a shower after walking out of about 95% of the car dealerships I've ever been to. The excessive amount of gamesmanship and sleazy sales tactics from many of the car dealerships has left me very jaded about purchasing a car. I have to say, when I stumbled across Murphy Ford, I found everyone at Murphy Ford to be fantastic. Particularly when it comes to purchasing a car, I tend to be extremely deliberate. The sales person that was working with me, Sean Caris, was overwhelmingly patient as I mulled over a number of options for many hours. He didn't give me any of the "hard sale" malarkey that I fully expected to receive, and was perfectly content with me test-driving a number of vehicles multiple times. He was extremely knowledgeable about a whole host of questions that I had and was able to instantly identify even the most minor of nuances between a number of vehicles. Everyone else at the dealership (both Dan Murphys, John Abruzzi, the sales and finance manager, and Randy Filippone, the general sales manager), were absolutely first class in every respect. I cannot lavish enough praises on the entire sales team. Once I decided on a car, which I was very pleased with, I was out of the dealership in what seemed like the blink of an eye. I financed part of the purchase, and John was able to promptly and efficiently contact a huge number of lenders, and I was blown away with the APR that he was able to deliver to me. Keith Mills, another sales and finance manager, was able to walk me through the different warranties and service options in a very skilled manner, and I was astonished at how reasonable the different plans were. The Murphys have a gigantic fleet of cars, ranging from the most high-end vehicles you could imagine to more economical models. The used car inventory is extensive and there are a lot of great deals to be had. I've been back twice to service the vehicle, and both times the experience could not have run smoother. Additionally, the younger Dan Murphy informed me about a "Tires for Life" program that Murphy Ford offers. My understanding of the program is that if all recommended factory scheduled maintenance has been performed by Murphy Ford and properly documented in the maintenance booklet from the time of purchase until the time when new tires are needed, those new replacement tires are free. Hard to beat that kind of program! Needless to say, the entire Murphy Ford was such a breath of fresh air from so many other dealerships that I had dealt with. I have been looking for a used truck for several weeks and Murphy Ford happened to have exactly what I was looking for. I called the dealer on Saturday morning bright and early as they open at 7:30 a.m. and spoke with Richard in sales. He assured me on the phone that the advertised price was accurate and that there were no hidden fees or "market adjustments" as I had a very bad experience earlier in the week at another dealership. Richard stated that in addition to the price of the vehicle, there would be sales tax, registration fees and a documentation fee which was lower than all the other dealers that I spoke with that week. I met Richard in person, and I looked over the truck. It was as advertised, and I was overall pleased with it, so we negotiated a deal right away without a big song and dance. I then went home and completed a credit app via email and provided them proof of insurance. I went back to the dealer several hours later and the truck had been gassed up and cleaned and I only spent another 20-30 minutes inside the finance office to sign paperwork. The dealer works with a lot of banks, and they shocked me with the interest rate that they were able to secure me with a local credit union as I did some homework ahead of time and could not find a rate as low as they were able to find me. Overall, I had the most pain free experience that I have ever had at any dealership, and I would highly recommend seeing Richard and the rest of the crew at Murphy Ford if you are looking for a new/used vehicle. read more

Unacceptable Warranty Repair Delay for 2020 Ford F-150 Posted: October 22, 2025 Location: 3310 Township Line Rd Chester PA I am extremely disappointed with Ford and Murphy Ford for their handling of warranty repairs on my 2020 Ford F-150 bought brand new in 2021 from this location. I brought my truck to Murphy Ford on September 16, 2025, for engine failure or transmission issues, and over five weeks later, it's still in the shop with no resolution. The technician keeps saying they need "more testing and investigation," but I've received no detailed updates, diagnosis, or timeline for getting my vehicle back. This delay is unacceptable and has caused major inconvenience. As a Pennsylvania resident, I'm entitled to timely repairs under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Pennsylvania's Lemon Law, which considers a vehicle a "lemon" if it's out of service for 30 days for the same issue. My truck has exceeded this threshold, yet neither Ford nor Murphy Ford Dealer has offered a loaner vehicle, compensation, or a clear path forward. I've contacted Ford's Customer Relationship Center at (800) 392-3673 and sent a formal complaint, but I'm still waiting for answers. This experience has eroded my trust in Ford's warranty service and Murphy Ford 's competence. I urge other consumers to be cautious and hope Ford steps up to resolve this promptly. I'm considering escalating to the BBB AUTO LINE or Pennsylvania Attorney General if this continues. read more

I just serviced my wife's SUV here and was iffy because of the reviews. I was shocked how much the rating doesn't match the dealership. Everyone I met in service and sales were pleasant and helpful. While I was waiting I read the reviews and noticed they were from years ago. I don't know why people love putting negative reviews and are not as enthused when they receive great service. Whatever issues if any Murphy Ford had in the past are more then rectified. I'll also add they have a brand new showroom and service center. The dealership had state of the art Internet, Cable, bathrooms and free vending service with coffee, tea and even hot chocolate!!! I'm reading some reviews and they don't match with my experience at Murphy Ford. They are a family owned and operated store for over 60 years. Mostly all the employees have been there for many years. If you know the car business that says something. I'm sure with doing business for over 60 years not everything is perfect. I just feel this is a real good dealership with solid values and great work ethic. Unfortunately most people who are happy tell nobody and people who are upset tell everyone. I would trust this store since they've been doing business in the same area for a half of decade, that doesn't happen without treating people well. I've been happy with every encounter. read more

Went to Murphy Ford Parts Dept. and had them order a part for my truck. When the part came in I picked it up and tried to install it. I realized it was the wrong part and had to reassemble my truck with the old part. I returned the part and they charged me 20% restocking fee for a part they verified and ordered. They could not find the proper part so I could not exchange. So I got punished for their screw up. My wife drives a Ford and I have a flleet of Fords that will never see Murphy Ford again. read more
