I'm a sucker for a spooky tourist spot so I was really excited to find out about Sisters Grimm…read morewhile planning my first trip to Texas. The shop itself was wonderfully decorated and had a wide variety of books and souvenirs. I went to the shop a few times during the week we were there. All of the customer service staff at the shop were amazing, one of which went digging through boxes in the back for 5 minutes so they could find my size in a shirt I really wanted. Since my partner and I were there to celebrate my birthday, we decided to splurge for the bus tour so I could see the local cemeteries. Our tour guide was Lady Lex who had big theatre kid energy in the best way. She was incredibly engaging and patient with everyone who wanted to take a lot of photos. Our bus driver Robert was great as well. I was truly appreciative of Lady Alex's statement at the cemetery that while the stories are intriguing, ultimately they are about real people who lost their lives and we should respect the tragedy of that. While I love a good ghost/true crime story, I think it's important to humanize the subjects of those stories. Overall I had a fantastic time and was really thrilled to see the beautiful architecture of the Menger Hotel and local cemetery. I would definitely recommend the shop and the tour.

Sister Grimm has a great shop downtown. It is easy to find per their instructions. We signed up…read morefor the walking tour for several reasons: I thought we would have more opportunity to interact with the guide and the tour would be a 1 1/2 hour long rather than the 2/1/2 hour bus tour. There was Plenty interaction with the very knowledgeable and articulate tour guide who was additionally able to share a few of their own ghostly experiences which made it all very real. The apparitions at the Menger Hotel made great stories. However, the tour went over the 1 1/2 hours which was fine but THEN you walk all the way back another at least 1/2 mile to where you started. It was late and exhausting. The trek back was at least 35 minutes. Then we had to walk back through the mall to the car-another 15 minutes. My thought was...should have taken the bus tour in the end it was about the same length of time and no exhausting walking in the heat. We were dehydrated and sweaty and tired which sort of took the fun out of the tour. Over all my 12 year old LOVED it. My older daughter thought it was good. I liked it but not the sweaty tired part. My Parkinsons husband was spent and a bit grumpy. My advice....take the bus tour.

This was a well put together recumbent trike tour of San Antonio. We received a discount because we…read morebrought our personal recumbant Catrikes to the tour. We were lead around by a Velomobile, and the tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the vast number of points of interest along our tour's route. We took the 4 hour historic district tour, but the company offers 2 and 6 hour tours as well. We thought the 4-hour tour was just about perfect for length of time in the saddle. The price for the tour, per person, was very reasonable as well, and we came away with loads of memories, photographs, and water bottles. At the halfway point, we stopped at a cinnamon store for a bit of energy restoration and bathroom break, which was quite welcome. We saw the river in areas we hadn't seen before, as well as the historic neighborhoods that surround the vicinity of the Alamo Square area. If you are looking for a tour that will show you things you might want to visit in greater depth at a later time, then this tour is well worth your money, time, and effort. Cycling speeds of about 5 mph were carried out, so there no sweat enhancing exertions taking place. I recommend this tour business.

Amazing! What a fantastic way to tour San Antonio. The bikes were great and our tour guide was…read moreeven better. Let's start with the bikes. They are called recumbent tricycles. You are sitting as if in a lounge chair. Very comfortable and surprisingly easy to peddle. They are geared for ease of peddling on hills which are very few in flat San Antonio. They are just plain fun to ride. We did the downtown tour and saw a whole range of different sites. Our guide Steve who also owns the company was extremely knowledgeable. We all had two way radios with ear pieces. So he could easily communicate with us as we rode. All in all I would recommend this to everyone visiting San Antonio as well as locals that know the area. This is much more then a tourists tour.
