I did notice this attorney to have a good 'talk'. A good tough talk of what he can do for you…read more However.. unfortunately what I found to be truth was this attorney was not timely or very much interested in 'fighting' for me. I noticed very little work was performed on my case until the day of court. I noticed him showing up late for court. I noticed him having little patience in explaining procedures and papers to me. I noticed him showing very little interest in what was best for me and my child. I noticed him not taking the time or care to really make sure of what was right for my child. I noticed it extremely difficult to get a hold of him. There were numerous, numerous unanswered and unreturned telephone calls and emails. There is no secretary either. When there was a return call it was the NIGHT before court. Unacceptable. I DID notice more interest in having the case resolved. I DID notice him cowering down and just trying to get me to sign on the dotted line to get the case over with. I do NOT recommend this attorney. When you go to court on such important matters involving children you DO NEED to be very extremely careful and you have to fight the good fight in order to get what is RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD(ren). This attorney will have you think it's open shut sign here. NOT THE CASE! BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CHILDREN. I suggest using another attorney. HIGHLY SUGGEST. I am still in court and now have a different attorney and feel MUCH more confident that whatever the outcome, at least I can be confident that my attorney made sure my child and myself had PROPER REPRESENTATION. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

But as the days grew closer, I started questioning myself as to if I would be able to win my case alone. I then decided it would be best if I'd hire a lawyer. I came across Leticia's name - along with many other lawyers - , but seen that she did FREE CONSULTATIONS, i called her right away. I met with Leticia on a Friday, told her my situation and let her know my hearing was only a couple days away. After speaking to her for about an hour, she gave me the confidence that everything would be alright and just to stay positive. I knew then, she would be the perfect lawyer for my case. She spent the rest of her Friday evening and her whole weekend reviewing and preparing my case (who would ruin their whole weekend just for me?? Leticia did!). When the hearing day finally came, we walked out of the court room with flying colors. Leticia did a great job, she knew exactly what she was doing and knew exactly what she was saying. Leticia Astacio is the BEST LAWYER EVER!! I would definitely recommend her to EVERYONE I know.

I felt completely lost and overwhelmed with fear of the unknown. As soon as the meeting was over I felt the first sense of hope that I had felt in a few months. Mike explained to me what was really going to take place. He also advised me on how to conduct myself and prepare to generate the best possible outcome which is extremely important. He was responsive via phone, email and text whenever I needed him...even when I interrupted his family vacation (sorry Mike!). Mike knows the law and he's not afraid to stand up on behalf of his client to protect their rights even when he's standing before the judge on your behalf. Thanks to Mike Schmitt I came out of this divorce in so much better shape than I could have ever allow myself to think possible when I walked into his office for the first time feeling all defeated. He is the only Divorce Attorney that I have and will continue to recommend to friends facing the same life changing experience. "MONEY"... For everyone that is the first concern when hiring a lawyer. Mike listened to my situation and his first priority was giving me the help I needed. When it came to money he worked within my means and was extremely affordable especially considering the level of representation that he provides. To be fair, the results he delivered outweighed anything he charged me by a long margin. Mike's a no BS attorney and a no BS business man. You can go elsewhere and pay 4 times as much but you're not going to get 4 times the representation... you're just paying for another law firms billboards and radio commercials! If you're reading this, you're probably in a tough spot and I remember that feeling. Do yourself a favor and set an appointment with Mike. For me it was literally the moment that I started the process of taking back the control over my life and future. For me to take the time to write this long of a review I hope you'll recognize it's because I'm just so thankful and I hope he can help others the way he has helped me.
