Where do I begin? I contacted this attorney today for consultation. I have never wanted to write a review so badly in my life. This attorney does not actively listen and is rude. She asked me detailed questions about my situation and I answered in great detail. More than a few times, she repeated her question such as about dates and time frames of different events. After about the third time she did this, I said "I already told you the date/time" and I proceeded to repeat what I had told her just moments before. She very rudely said, "You need to adjust your tone when you're talking to me." The audacity. My tone literally never changed. I asked her how my tone was rude or inappropriate and she replied "because you said I told you." Well lady, I did tell you and I don't think she understands the definition of tone/tonality. I had to repeat myself many times and I expressed this to her. Not actively listening to a potential client is in itself rude and unprofessional. I would never speak to anyone the way she spoke to me. SlDuring our conversation she also would ask me a question and then interrupt me while I was mid sentence. I would not do business with someone who obviously has a low regard for people in general and lack people skills. From my experience, lawyers are usually the MOST pleasant during a consultation because, of course, they want you to become a client. Imagine a month from now how she would be treating me. I am going to go out on a limb and say that her "sparkling personality" (thats sarcasm) has not won her many clients because she answers her own phone and answered after just one ring. I am not sure where all of her good reviews on Yelp are stemming from. Ms Chea's reviews look fake.. After I briefly expressed my above frustration with how she was speaking to me, she said hold on and I heard elevator music on the line. I hung up and ran to Yelp (figuratively). The attorney called me back and of course I did not answer. She has zero people skills and I would definitely not do business with her, ever. Just call and talk to her or go in person for a consult. You will soon see she is rude off the bat and doesn't seem very knowledgeable to boot. Dealing with her attitude and overall lack of knowledge would not be worth the value of her inexpensive prices. She only offered one option for how I could keep one of my vehicles before knowing the value of my vehicle. FYI, in Ca you have 4 options and one of them began around 2023. When I asked about one of my other options that is the only time she offered that option and said I would be able to do that (after she asked a few details). Muoi Chea has made my life and my partner's life much more comfortable. Being the primary bread winner life got tough when my employer closed his doors. It took several months before I could secure a new position with a new company, and when I did the rate of salary was a little over half of what I was receiving. This caused a severe financial strain which caused me to file for bankruptcy. Knowing very little about bankruptcy I went in thinking I would file Chapter 7 and walk away owing nothing at all. But this thought was quickly diminished when I found my newer rate of pay surpassed the salary limits of Chapter 7 and I would have to file Chapter 13, a structured, repayment bankruptcy. I would have to make payments towards $50,000 for 5 years. But with superior knowledge and complex thinking, Muoi Chea was able to formulate a filing strategy which included my registered domestic partner (not his debt) without damaging his credit file. She filed my case as a Chapter 7 and it was accepted without comment from the court's bankruptcy trustee. Creditors have stopped sending requests for payments, calls have stopped and liens have been dissolved- and my partner and I are living much more comfortably because of her efforts. I can't thank Muoi Chea enough, we were first so anxious about filing, but her calm demeaner is like a therapy session and yes she will give you homework, (papers to copy etc.) We were so prepared when we went in front of the trustee, we went right through because something was missing in the case filings of the other six or seven. They had lawyers also. Anytime we had a question we get a call back or text quickly. We were the last case, but we sailed through, with few questions asked. It was all there.
