We bought a 2012 Ford F150 on 01/28/2022 and since then have had non stop problems that the dealership refuses to rectify. We made the trip from Minot to Rugby which is a little over an hour away especially given the weather conditions. My husband and I both test drove this vehicle and didn't have any issues. We were not able to drive it home that day due to having to wait for the loan to process. They offered to have it delivered and we assumed it would be delivered on a trailer but it was not. They drove it to Minot on 02/02/2022. We met at Don Bessette here in Minot to pick it up and drove it home. Not a full 2 hours later my husband went outside to start the vehicle to go to work and it would not start. Thus, the beginning of our issues. Upon further inspection the battery connectors were a little corroded so we changed them to no avail. We then found that the starter was bad and ended up changing that the following week. But it doesn't end there. The check engine light came on with timing retarded codes. At this point we called the dealership and our sales person told us that it sounds like a prior issue. You would think after saying something like that it would be promptly taken care of by the car dealership at no expense to the buyer but that was not the case. After giving us the run around for several days they decided they would only cover $250 of the repair that they quoted to be an $850 repair, if other issues weren't found that they also would not cover. But wait THERE'S MORE! It broke down again for an entirely different reason today 03/21/2022. Now it's saying that there is no fuel pressure in the fuel rail. It will lope and try really hard to get gas but it just won't run above 1000rpm. I then called the dealership once more and straight up told them that it seems like they didn't even do an inspection before putting the vehicle on their lot and it's seeming more and more like they just sold us a lemon and knew full well there were existing issues. I should also mention that since buying the vehicle around 500 miles has been put on it that includes the trips it has made to and from Rugby for delivery as well as when we took it up for diagnostics regarding timing. Now I am in the run around AGAIN where anytime I get someone on the phone, they pass me along to the next person and talk about their sales manager but they don't transfer me directly to their sales manager and getting a call back from the sales manager takes several hours if not days. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from this business. They may seem sticky sweet at first but the sting you get afterwards isn't worth it.

After we test drove the truck, the salesman told us that the price was actually $74,000. He said the sales manager told him that they had forgotten to add the Roush package to the window sticker. They refused to honor the advertised price or negotiate at all. False advertising. What a waste of a day.

    Well 7 months and I continue to have the same issue with my car cutting out and my check engine…read morelight continuously on. Now the last couple of weeks they don't even have the nerve to call me back. I have messaged the General manager Wayne and also left voice mails to call me and I get no response. I have sent pictures with my check engine light on and also a code that was ran that states that it is the catalytic converter which also was the same code that showed up with my last visit to them that they told me was my air intake was froze up. Now tell me what the cold weather had to do with this when then all started back in June. They supposedly replaced my catalytic converter which I have to say BS or they installed a faulty one and they refuse to make it right. And the sad thing is that a couple of the employees there had lunch with a guy who happens to be related to me and they told him that it was indeed the catalytic converter but they refuse to even talk to me. I have had this car brand new from them. They have very poor customer service as the last time that I was in they didn't even say hi to me or talk to me until I started to ask questions. I would think that they would make this right with my car but instead they just ignore me now. I am a single mother with 4 kids and they don't care if I get stranded which luckily so far the times that I have I have been by myself. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED AT THIS POINT!!

    The service department has lied to me multiple times about my vehicles needing service that they…read moreactually did not need. I replaced multiple parts that they said needed to be replaced only to find out the parts were still in good condition and did not need replacing anytime soon. I have receipts saying that the following parts needed to be replaced and I also have the old parts(still in good condition) as well. They had told my girlfriend that the upper ball joints and control arms needed to be replaced, which they didn't(bushings and ball joints still had thousands of miles left on them). They also told my girlfriend that they would replace the passenger side steering rack clamp if she spent the $1700 to replace all ball joints and bushings, and when I took it off I noticed the steering rack clamp was still in brand new condition also. When I questioned them about it they just told me I was wrong. Then they proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the rear wiper blade(which I had replaced two days prior), the spark plugs (which I had replaced recently), the spark plug wires(which I had also replaced recently). They also advised me that all fluids needed to be changed(which I had done a few days prior), and that the air filter needed to be replaced(still looks brand new and indicator shows it has over 80% life left). Please do not trust the service department or get a second opinion from a trusted mechanic if you are to get service done on your vehicle at Lake Chevrolet. I will never bring my vehicles to that service department again
