Fried shrimp - these were pretty good Tom yum noodles - never had tom yum in noodle form before, so we had to go for this (other than hot pot). This was decent, but nothing special Pad krapow chicken - the flavors in this were off. It needed more basil. Also, I'm not a fan of bell peppers and string beans in a pad krapow; they don't soak in much flavor

Probably a dozen or so tables and they were able to seat our group of 6 easily. Our server was very nice and took our orders and was able to get all of ours right. Definitely a place to return to next time.

My mom also remembered she saw recommendations for this place on a Chinese social media app. We got the mapo tofu, Shanghai braised pork, the Shanghai 2k18 lamb slices, and a serving of glutinous rice balls in fermented wine per person. They refill your communal rice bowl if asked. Everything was delicious, and as 12-year residents of Shanghai we left full and pleased. The server made it seem the rice balls were small, but they came bigger than expected. Might be better to split 1 if it's only 2 people. The night we dined was quite busy, as they continued to have new patrons arrive. I think it helped that we spoke Chinese. I was happy to see folks of all different nationalities eating here!

We were seated quickly and had time to look at the menu before ordering. My fiancé ordered the Pho bo (beef) and I ordered the pho ga (chicken). It's a little different from the usual pho we order because they include meatballs in pho bo (which normally would be a separate type of order) and the pho ga had marinated chicken. The broth was light and savory, with much of the flavor coming from the meat. It was so flavorful!! We also ordered the summer roll, a usual appetizer everywhere we go, which was packed well and had eggs and a tiny egg roll! I haven't had it like this anywhere else (not even back at home). It was also a great dish to start with before the main dish! The place can get pretty crowded but every time we've gone in we have been lucky to beat the dinner and lunch rush.

All of it was so good. The Cha plus leaf reminded of Indian paan. Very nice and fresh. The mixed vegetables ended up being mainly bok choy, which I'm not usually a fan of, but this dish has the perfect level spice, and a really nice grip flavor that I really enjoyed. The red curry was divine, spicier than expected, but not too much. Couldn't stop eating it! The dessert was also really good. We were a little surprised that the cury didn't come with rice which is traditional, and typical when I've ordered Thai curries in the past, but otherwise no complaints. 9.5/10
