I purchased a custom table the 1st week of Jan. They said it would take 8 weeks. They never sent me the receipt for the deposit as requested several times. The beginning of March I reached out to get the status. They said they would ship by Friday. A week later, they never shipped or heard from them. Since then I have tried to reach out to them and they have ghosted me. No update on my custom item. It has now been 3 months. I have been trying to reach someone for the last 2 weeks to get a status and nothing. read more

Muniz Plastics - Home Decor Near Me - Miami, Florida

Great customer service, they went above and beyond. I had an acrylic table base that was broken in a move. I needed it repaired, I called Muniz and the gentleman said that it wasn't his piece but I could stop by any time and he would repair it for me. I asked how much he would charge me and he said no charge! I was skeptical but decided to bring my piece to him to have it repaired. Not only did he stand by his word of not charging me but he did a perfect job repairing it that you wouldn't be able to tell it was ever broken before. Needless to say it made my day and I will highly recommend anyone that I know to use Muniz!! read more

I would give less than one star if I could. After speaking with a very nice gentleman on the phone about some awards I was interested in, I was told to send an email with my RFQ information on it and the woman who handled the orders would answer it when she returned from some time off. It's too bad for the company that I had to deal with her because they lost my order because of it. First, she apparently didn't bother reading the very specific and detailed information I included in my RFQ email. After three emails where she asked me to provide her with the same information I had already provided, I finally got the pricing. SURPRISE! The quantity discount that the nice gentleman on the phone told me that I would get was not included (and he knew exactly how many I needed). So I decided to call and see if I could speak with him again. SURPRISE! After being placed on hold, I got her. She had MAJOR attitude with horrible customer service. Suddenly, there was no quantity discount available, and - after asking her what the discount would be if I met the quantity - it was pathetic. I sent an email saying I decided to go with another vendor. Surely, losing my order won't be a big deal to them (It was probably only worth a few hundred dollars), but little do they know that I order much more than this. Came to yelp and noticed the filtered reviews. SUPER glad I decided not to place an order with these people. read more

UPDATE 2021-01-04: Phil called today and told me what I needed to know. It was a much more pleasant experience. Looking forward to being completely satisfied. I hope. Raise a star! ---------- This review is subject to revision if this Company learns how to treat its customers. I ordered three breakfast-bar sized stools from Muniz Plastics in mid-November. Muniz Plastics took the order as well as half the $1500 cost worth of items off of my credit card immediately. Then, I was told it would take 6 weeks to complete, which is this week--the week after Christmas 2020. Indeed, if they had told me 8 weeks or 10 weeks, I would've still ordered. I have had NO interim contact with Muniz until I called twice this week. Tuesday (Dec 29, 2020) I called, left a message and no one called me back. Today, Thursday, I called back to a number listed as David Muniz. What a nasty, nasty person to talk to and I hope he's not the business owner. I inquired about my order and told him I didn't get a response to the message I left. Immediately, he goes on the defensive, talking about how it's Christmastime and seemed to indicate that I shouldn't be calling at all when I told him I was concerned about my order. Apparently triggered, he derides unnecessarily, asking why was "I concerned about my order?" Again, I have not bothered anybody in this company at all after initially placing my order in November. I got annoyed. I say to him, "Okay, you want to know why," and I'm being deliberate in my speech now, because "I haven't heard anything and I was told six weeks." He's talking over me, raising his voice. What the heck! Now I'm more concerned, including upset and disgusted. Why is this man fighting with me over the phone for something so routine? How about saying something like "Thank you for your order. We're experiencing delays," or any number of clarifying statements? I hung up on him. I can't believe I had to do that! I got NO information from David. What's left? Should I seek to cancel my order? Will I have to sue him to get my money back if I do? The truth is, I want the stools if they are as beautiful as they were represented. Indeed, up until now, I was thinking of what else I might order from Muniz Plastics. Now nothing but stress. I just want my stools and will never do business with that company again, at least NOT without an apology and it hires someone with simple customer service skills. I don't need this. read more

My company needed over 100 Acrylic Awards made. Each one with a different name on it. The quality and value was great! Communication was also wonderful. I got updates and knew the progress of my order and delivery status. When a problem with one award I caused was discovered they took care of it immediately to help me out. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Excellent customer service. We will be using them again for sure! read more

I personally would recommend against these people. The man I talked to wouldn't work on my acrylic barstools because he thinks they are made in China and he doesn't work on Chinese things. Actually I think they are made in Turkey. Ironically, he tells me this with a Spanish accent. read more

I purchased 2 end tables from Phil from Muniz Plastics last year. They are absolutely gorgeous! I knew of Muniz Plastics from fifteen years ago when I bought my daughter a dolphin sculpture and matching stand. Phil guided me in my choice of color. The sculpture is outstanding! I am now thinking about purchasing the coordinating coffee table to my end tables. Without a doubt, I will call Phil again. read more

I fell in love with a very high-end acrylic coffee table in a decorating magazine only to find out it was a custom piece. So I checked design blogs, websites, and talked to different acrylic manufacturers and retailers across the country. I got very lucky the day I called Muniz Plastics because their level of service is the highest I have ever received from any purchase I have ever made!!!!! From the first time I called Muniz Plastics, I was encouraged to email pictures directly to the owner/designer, David Muniz. To my surprise, he emailed back immediately. I then called him, and he took the time to educate me on the world of acrylic and talk specifically about what made that specific table special. Not only was he very informative and hands-on during the entire process, he was super patient and empathetic to my situation. I would have given Muniz Plastics five stars even before I took delivery of the table just based on the customer service alone. I just received my custom acrylic coffee table that was made specifically for my space, and it is absolutely beautiful. The quality is amazing, and it was packaged perfectly to make the trip from Miami to Dallas. I would highly recommend Muniz Plastics to anyone who is looking for a special acrylic piece of furniture. The combination of hands on customer service with exceptional quality just blew me away, and I have super high expectations!!! read more

After not receiving an order after 6 weeks and after Phil Muniz charged my Credit Card, when speaking to Phil to cancel the order he literally called me a F*cking C*nt, refused to refund my money and told me to contest it with my bank and then he hung up on me. Oh and he called my husband and I liars. All because he couldn't competently handle delivering the goods. I have never worked with a more useless and unprofessional company in my life. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau has well. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. read more

Muniz crafted a 40" square acrylic coffee table for my vacation home. Not only was the piece expertly designed and crafted, Muniz delivered the piece on my aggressive timeline. The packaging was perfect as the piece arrived in excellent condition. Very impressive experience from the ordering process through enjoying the piece in my home. read more

Muniz has great products and a very professional looking website. However they had very poor phone customer service and they tried to scam me on the price until I called them out on it. They also took a very long time to get back with me and asked me to email my credit card infomation. All the people that I spoke with were very rude. Again, really great products at great prices...I haven't gotten my product yet so I am not sure on the quality, but really terrible customer service. I am not sure I trust them with my credit card info...we shall see. read more

I have used Muniz Plastics for the past 10 years for awards for my scholarship competition. I Muniz very easy to work with, they go out of their way to be helpful - whether express processing because I waited until the last possible moment or helping me better design what I had submitted originally. I have only ordered the rectangle awards (REC-46 and REC-58) but they always look great - I've ordered over 190 of them! read more

After sending it back i was told they would ship another glass top out that day. Im still waiting for it to arrive. I now called the comany and wanted to know were my glass table top is and was told it would be here in 3-4 days. almost a week past when they said it would be here. after telling the ( use this term loosly gentelman ) i needed more imformation on my delivery he planly said he cant give me anymore imfo . What did i want out of him blood? If im not happy he can just cancel my order and refund me the money ! He had zero customer service skills and should never be alot to even pick up the phone i really hope he doesn't talk too all your customers the same way. and maybe by this review his boss might see it and take action. This will be the only time i use this company. And if i didnt need this exact piece of glass to match my customers other glass i would have cancelled my order. Do not use this company. read more
