Very friendly place with an extensive menu for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. My husband got a curry chicken, and instead of assuming he wouldn't like spicy food (which is unfortunately common in Europe, where a three-pepper rating barely registers as spicy in your mouth), the man who took our order took care to clarify what level of spice we wanted.
The portions were quite generous and affordable, especially for Zurich, and while we waited for the takeaway order, we were given free water (probably tap, but still!) and offered a seat. If you're American, you're thinking, "Free water. So what?" Trust me, it was a nice -- and unexpected -- thing to do here. Wait time was very reasonable. The shop window fronts a busy street, so it's good for people-watching but not an intimate dinner.
The veggie samosas were HUGE and very tasty. Actually, be aware of the size of the samosas if you order them as an appetizer. Although there are only two, they'll reduce your appetite a lot. My palak paneer was very good, not the best I've had, but IMO it's hard to mess up PP unless the cheese doesn't set up. (A personal experience, but Indian chefs have much better luck!).
Good value, good service, good food.
