This is going to a tumultuous ride you're about to embark on. 2018 Time-Out article, you can go ************** yourself for this one.
Mind you, it might have been because the people in our group are accustomed to eating family style and order a bunch of appetizers and we all share an entree or 2.
We started off with the couvert, which includes an assortment breads, truffle butter & slow-cooked egg yolk. Honestly if we had just gotten that, 5 stars. Goddamn, that seems like a long time ago after the following was endured.
I should have known something was up as soon as the music briefly cut to Midnight Club 2 DUB edition type beat --not once, but twice. :/
We started off with the marinated tuna which was great, but it was brought out with a cold melon "soup" with burrata and some other things I can't recall due to marginal PTSD. I just need to make this clear from here on out: If you just skin then blend a refrigerated ingredient, it most likely is not a "soup" of any kind,
but maybe a sauce,
but in this case a goop.
This was probably one of the most sickening plates I have ever had at a restaurant.
Then the mediocre "Fried Chicken" came out the kitchen with the ok Mushroom Dumplings, which were both at most an 6.5/10. "Fried Chicken" was actually 2 Bao buns with a 2/3 of a chicken breast cutlet cut in between them.
Then a set of ribs that were marinated in an Arizona driveway with something that resembled expired Del Monte canned fruits.
Then we ordered a side salad which has said lettuce and pico de gallo, but oh boy I'll tell ya: They sure do not know either what pico de gallo is or the difference between a bell pepper and tomato. Or both. Who knows.
Then the small portions of the plates proved that this establishment is only adequate for patrons of a luxury monogram belt-wallet combo and a partner that cakes their make-up quite generously.
Overall: A quickly regrettable meal with a hefty price tag to match. I don't mind paying this much for the food, but it has to be something really special and the flavors have to work together. Nothing here did.
With that being said and it being evident that you should not come here-- THE SERVICE was impeccable and everyone was very friendly and accommodating and she got tipped accordingly. read more
