Organic Tasting Menu This was such a delightful experience!!! This tasting menu has so many courses and so many bonus chef creations at the start and end of the meal. Each dish was just such a flavor shock to me, so unique and fresh and incredible. I've never had such unique creations before. Interestingly, there's not much of a focus on protein dishes in this menu. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful, set in the Crystal Palace Gardens and overlooking a great scenic view. Servers are exception of course. Beautiful bathrooms too ohmy. Definitely deserves its Michelin star!!

We had a lovely 8 course meals with wine pairing lunch and truly appreciated the quality of the food and the attentive service--especially from the young lady who took care of us so graciously throughout the meal. However, we were quite disappointed to discover a €20 charge for the final glass of port wine, which we believed was complimentary. The wine server did not mention there would be an additional cost, and had that been made clear, we would have declined it. Unfortunately, this unexpected charge left us with a sour note after what was otherwise a wonderful experience. For a two-star Michelin restaurant, we expected a higher level of transparency. So be careful when they offer an extra glass of wine as it might cost you!

Ambiance/service: kind of out of the city so more secluded (was a 30 minute walk from the city center, 8-10 minute drive). The view is nice if it's not too dark out already. The servers were on-it (at your table if you need anything) and very friendly Price: €120 for regular prix fixe menu and £80 for vegetarian which we each got one so we got to try the full selection (spoiler both were delicious). They had wine pairings for an extra cost which we passed on. Food: typical fine dining fancy food presentation which I love, great attention to detail. The taste of the dishes were all very unique and a blend of different flavors. I do think the regular food dishes were slightly more yummy and savory as a lot of the vegetarian dishes were more fresh (ie one was a fancy caprese salad with tomato ice, another was a citrus with tofu blend) though there was one vegetarian seaweed rice risotto that was very good. Both desserts were delicious (in fact, I'd say the vegetarian one which my favorite) All in all, this is a great place to have a special meal. There is lots of attention to detail in the service and food.

Tucked within an architectural gem of a space, this two-star Michelin restaurant opens with promise. The ambiance is nothing short of exquisite--warm, refined lighting, soft acoustic textures, and a pacing that honors both intimacy and occasion. Manuel, our server, was a standout: gracious, intuitive, and effortlessly professional. If hospitality were the sole metric, this would be a strong three stars. The meal began with quiet brilliance. Each course was technically sharp, beautifully composed, and confidently restrained--until the sea bass arrived. Devoid of salt, it sat on the plate like a forgotten poem, its flavor silenced. Moments later, the wagyu mushrooms suffered the same fate. This kind of misstep would be unremarkable in a lesser kitchen, but here, it felt jarring--like a violin out of tune at a symphony. Worse still was the wine pairing, which must be called out with full gravity: this was, without hyperbole, the worst I've experienced globally. Each pour seemed specifically chosen to erase the dish it accompanied. The selections clashed, overpowered, or dulled the plates they were meant to elevate. Given the premium price tag attached to the restaurant, one would expect a pairing that complements rather than competes with the culinary artistry, yet what was served not only failed to enhance but actively detracted from the meal. The wine program doesn't merely need a rethink--it's a liability that noticeably undermines the chef's craftsmanship. For diners who value their palate as much as their purse, it may be wise to skip the wine pairing entirely and allocate the expense elsewhere--perhaps by exploring a venue like Vinha, where each dollar spent garners a more thoughtful balance between cost and gustatory satisfaction. Even the bathroom, often a bellwether of behind-the-scenes care, fell short. Empty soap dispensers and a drained lotion bottle only reinforced the growing sense that detail had fled the building. There is excellence in this kitchen. There is grace in the front of house. But both are betrayed by neglect--on the plate, in the glass, and in the quiet corners that matter most when aiming for greatness.

Out of 5 stars: - service: 5/5 - ambiance: 5/5 - food: 4/5 - price: 5/5 Location and Ambiance: I came here with friends and as people from abroad, we got a bit lost finding the restaurant as it is hidden in a part of the park at the basement of the Romantic Museum. Once we found the restaurant, we saw beautiful terrace views and wonderful scenery. Upon walking in, we noted a quiet ambiance and calming music. We were promptly seated at a table and I can say that the decor matches the scenery seen through the wide windows. Pricing: We ordered the savory moments tasting menu which was 150€. It came with 7 courses. Price is on the higher end for a 1 michelin but they offered a vegetarian menu for ~90€. Overall the prices were fair especially since I think the overall experience is closer to that of a 2 michelin (which is 200+€). Service: Ok now this is the best part! Our waiter was patient in answering our questions and offered excellent service, replacing our utensils and plates in a prompt and professional manner. He operated with the most elegant manner maneuvering smoothly while handling all our plates. He also remembered our request to take out the sea urchin foam. The sommelier was very knowledgeable about the different port wines and flavor profiles. He was able to dive into the aging process and answer any questions we asked. He was attentive and got us great white wines to taste and the perfect caramel accented port wine for dessert. Overall the service is perfection and definitely on a 2+ michelin level. For some background, my party has been to multiple 1,2, and 3 star michelin restaurants in NYC. We were a bit surprised to find out that Antiqvvm is 1 star only. Food: Our savory moments tasting menu was enjoyable. There were some dishes which were a hit (the scallops and steak were my favorite) and others I didn't enjoy as much mainly due to my preference. All the food was presented in a manner that matches the flowers in the garden. Very light, airy and vivid. The dessert was amazing and is a wonderful finisher. Overall food presentation was awesome and I loved the scallops and steak!

A must-try Michelin dining experience in Porto. The restaurant is tucked away in nature with serene outdoor views that make you feel as if you've escaped to your own private villa. The service is superb, with your own designated waiter who explains every detail of each dish and how the city of Porto inspired every nuance. I did the vegetarian lunch tasting ($80) while my husband did the main lunch tasting ($150). The combo was perfect as the main tasting is a bit heavy and the vegetarian sequence resembles a dessert and palate cleanser. The sommelier visits to explain the wine selection, which features wine from the famous Duoro valley. Our dining experience here was a highlight of our trip to Porto.

Beautiful restaurant, romantic, modern and unique decore. My fiancé and I decided on the sensory moment full tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each dish was better than the last and once again this 1 michelin star restaurant knocked the 2 star restaurants out of the water. Presentation on dish and by our moment creators, a full description of each dish along with a brief history of each paired wine made for an all around incredible experience. The staff was very kind and accommodating to my dietary needs as well as refreshingly knowledgeable about every single ingredient and feeling behind chefs inspiration. I highly recommend anyone traveling to Porto to make this restaurant a top priority!

Stellar. I've been lucky enough to eat at several Michelin-starred restaurants including the French Laundry, Joel Rubichon and Jean George, and Antiqvvm has the goods. The setting is spectacular, but also spectacularly hidden. Thank god for GPS. As for the food, I had the Organic tasting menu (vegetarian, though I had forgotten that until now because I never felt I was missing anything) with the wine pairing and my date had another tasting menu (non-vegetarian). Each dish was packed with flavor, and a nice mix of tastes. Not a clunker among the 20 dishes between us! The wines were also spectacular and the sommelier really knew his stuff. If you're into fine dining and willing to drop €80-€120 each on dinner, I can't recommend this place too highly. My date and I are shocked that Antiqvvm only has 1 Michelin star though, we thought it was definitely worthy of two.

This will go down as one of the best meals of my life. Highly recommend if you're in Porto and don't mind spending on excellent food, service, and ambience.

Hands down the best dining experience in my life. Food, service, price and ambience were just exceptional. Highly recommend the Organic vegetarian tasting menu (80 euros/person). Cannot wait them to get Michelin two stars. Lastly, wanted to thank our server, Rafael, who took care of our dining experience at the highest level.

This was another spot I visited while I was in Portugal that was *not* on my list - a truly…read morewonderful seafood restaurant around the corner was, that I got to before noon because I wasn't sure when they opened (turned out: 12:45 that day), so I was wandering around with an hour to kill and found this place. They have flights, including one that's 15 euros where you let them know what you're looking for and they pick out the 3 bottles, which is very neat. I told them I was in Porto mainly to try Port wines, and didn't have much familiarity with other, non-fortified Portuguese wines, and would love an intro flight, but no roses. Got a mini-lesson in the wine regions of Portugal, along with a wonderful green wine, a great Duoro valley red, and a truly fantastic red from Alentejo, a wine region I had not previously heard of, but immediately went on my radar the rest of the trip. (They also sell bottles; I bought a bottle.) Note, they said they only guarantee they'll do flights (as opposed to full-priced full glass pours) after 4 pm, but if they aren't busy for the food lunch rush, they'll do them earlier in the day (on a rainy Thursday in January they were more than happy to.) Actually liked the place so much, I came back the next afternoon and had another glass of a different Alentejo red - they only had one open for tasting in the price range that fit the "intro"-priced wine flight, so I spent... I believe 11 euros on a glass of a fancier bottle they recommended. It was also quite good, though I think I actually preferred the first one. Also had one glass of a very reasonably priced tawny Port while I was there - they had several, but obviously, I was already well into my plan to taste Port directly from all of the nearby tasting rooms across the bridge, so I just picked one here. (Unsurprisingly, it was also quite good.) They do also sell food, but I can't comment on it. Great place for quick wine tasting, though.

Overall, a great experience. Originally found this via my Lonely Planet guidebook (yes, the…read morepaperback book, lol; old school, I know.) The space is upscale and has good air conditioning. I find the American country music playlist pretty amusing. The service is polite and the server spoke English well enough to explain where this wine came from, pairings for thiss and that wine, etc. I was only there for wine tastings, and maybe a snack to pair with. Good stuff overall. I love the menu! It's very explanatory; you could spent 30 minutes reading and absorbing some of the info about Portuguese wines, so definitely keep it after you order to browse and read. Pro tip: They have spit buckets. Ask for one and use it. Can taste more wines with less intoxication. Only miss was that they served me the aged white ports, which are chilled, a few minutes before the desert things that I was pairing them with. This let them warm up a bit before I could pair them with food, especially since I asked for small pours. Bathrooms: Spacious, bougie, clean, and functional.

The menu was so tempting that we had a hard time making decisions. We started with the seia cheese and smoked ham croquettes. They did not disappoint! Ooey gooey goodness served with a lovely quince sauce that left us wanting to lick the plate. We settled on sharing the smoked sausage rice served in a spent seia cheese shell. Words cannot even begin to explain how incredibly decadent this dish was. It was more than enough to share, yet even as we were both full we could not stop indulging in it. It became richer as the steaming hot rice sausage and vegetable mixture continued to melt more of the sidewall cheese into the combination. We also could scoop melty cheese directly off the wall inside the bowl. I didn't think about it at the time, but if we had saved the crisps that are served with complementary olives on arrival we could have spread some of the cheese onto them as well. Alas- hopefully someone else can give that a try on our recommendation. Although too full for dessert, the cocoa cake was recommended as a house specialty. It is really more of a rich chocolate brownie or torte and is served with an incredible salted caramel sauce and topped with a dainty scoop of a fantastic goat cheese ice cream with flavoring along the lines of a creamy cheesecake. Such an absolutely lovely meal served by wonderful staff! Reuben and Maria made us feel very welcome and the staff at Rei Dos Queijos apparently speak every language there is. 4 mixed drinks, appetizer, shared entree and dessert €54. Not too shabby!
