I would give this place zero stars if I could, waste of my time and money and made me sick. Me and my girlfriend stopped in for a quick dinner before our river cruise and oh my god this was the worst food I've ever had in europe, if not ever had in general, avoid this place like the plague. We stopped in and where seated inside where the ambiance was that of a retirement home, we told the staff we had a river cruise in an 50 minutes so we couldn't wait too much and they said it would all be fine, we figured out what we wanted to order and where trying to flag down a waiter and it seemed like we where being ignored except for that we weren't, they said "one second we'll take your order right now" well 10 minutes passed and finally they took our order, I ordered the rose sangria and a francesinha and my girlfriend ordered the prawns with tagliatelle, sounds good right? Wrong! We've ordered these exact same dishes maybe 3 times each on our trip so far as every time before that we had them at other restaurants they where delicious! But after 20 minutes of waiting and one disappointing sangria down the hatch (by the way the sangria which was supposed to be 1 liter was filled with ice and only filled up two glasses, every other place that gives you a "1 liter" jug will fill up at least 4 glasses, and the sangria was almost tasteless and just tasted like soda water, after drinking the whole thing to myself because my girlfriend didn't like it I didn't even feel tipsy at all) anyways our food arrived and this was the kicker, as if everything else wasn't disappointing enough our food was absolutely disgusting. The prawn tagliatelle tasted like old frozen fish that had been thawing all day before being cooked, not fresh at all, and it tainted the pasta too, the pasta itself tasted like rotten fish and the prawns tasted even more spoiled, I was so shocked, how could pasta taste that bad? Well it did. It tasted like sewer fish pasta with sewer shrimp on top zested with bile and scum. If that wasn't bad enough my francesinha which I had had 3 times before at different restaurants tasted disgusting, it tasted like they used Jimmy dean breakfast sausage for the meat which ruined the entire thing, and it didn't look good ether, the overall presentation looked like if you asked a toddler to make a sandwich. After managing to take 3 bites each of each dish and trying each others food we realized we had made a terrible mistake. I immediately asked for the bill which was $45, honestly you couldn't even pay me $45 to eat that again, we paid as soon as we could so we could get out of there, we even had 15 minutes left before we had to go but our food was so gross we couldn't stand it. As we walked over to the cruise and sat down we both felt sick and I threw up in my mouth a little bit, and it's not from being sea sick as I have good sea legs and a concrete stomach, it takes something really nasty to mess me up. And it wasn't even like these dishes where something you could grow accustomed to as we love these dishes respectively but our meal here was repulsive. I bet the cafeterias in hell has better food than this sorry excuse for a restaurant. I pray for any individual who mistakes this place for a good restaurant just like I had, cause you're in for the opposite of a treat, disgusting, plain and simple. If you want real food go to Taberninha Do Manel, best food we had in Porto and it's only 4 doors down, absolutely delicious there, everything is worth the price and a gift to your palette, go there, not here, TRUST ME, NEVER COME HERE, unless you like eating trash and getting sick in which case knock yourself out! read more
