This is a non-profit facility, & yet they strive to do the very best for their GUESTS. My wife moved her parents to Lynd Place after searching for facilities in Columbus, OH, which is where they lived at the time. The only places she found that might have been acceptable were way out of their price range. The main reasons for moving my wife's parents here were the price (of course), the rural-like setting, access to transportation, and the cleanliness and general appearance of the facility. They have been here over 2 years. It was a difficult adjustment. My wife and her sister forbade their father from driving and their mother was still recovering from a stroke. But in the time they have been here, they have been taken care of well, and the few emergencies that have occurred were handled as expertly as one could hope. Because of this experience with my in-laws, my brothers and I decided to move my mom here. She had a period of adjustment but is doing well. Lynd Place has regular conversations with the residents to try to improve things. There have been many changes in the 2 years we have known about them. They have weekly shopping trips and weekly trips to eat out. There are many activities in the facility. I will admit that the food is not gourmet, and the activities are less than at some high-end facilities. But our parents could not afford those things and, for their money, they get quite a lot. They are doing well and are well cared for, which is why we had them move there.

He also had a leg ulcer that continuously oozed discharge and odor. He was in desperate need of Podiatry care as well. My dad also told me the Director here opened a bank account with him. He had no idea what he signed when this occurred at his Credit Union. Some would call this Financial Abuse of the Elderly. He repeatedly asked to see a doctor....not just the "Nurse Practitioner" that supposedly comes on Thursdays. My dad died at the hospital. Lynd House is part of Assisted Living Concepts. Check the Internet and you will see some stories of how this company evicted elderly residents because they had to be on Medicaid. Please do not put your loved one here....it only LOOKS nice from the outside.

They have a very caring staff and an outstanding medical director who is incredibly gifted and caring. They really do care for their community members and treat them (and their loved one) as family. They came through for me time and time again. Unlike another subpar facility in town that I had the misfortune of using, Sugar Fork is a great place with wonderful care teams and staff. It's clean, beautiful and caring. I am not affiliated with them and they didn't ask for me to do this. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

That might be true, my father was in rehab there and our family felt that those folks in rehab were not given the attention needed to get them healthy. The physical/occupational therapist are top of the line. The food I is great when it is served on time. But unfortunately the nurses are overwhelmed with the patient to nurse ratio.
