They did not know me but they downed tools just to welcome me in and still found the time to make me a pot of tea and have a bit chat. YOU CANNOT BUY THAT KIND OF HOSPITALITY. The most popular sandwiches are prepared before lunch and packaged up ready to buy... if you don't see one you like or have particular requirements, the friendly staff have no problems making one up to order. They also offer jacket potatoes, soup, salads, Indian snacks, crisps, hot and cold drinks and my favourite, a range of homebaked cakes and flapjacks. I can honestly say, that in 19 years I have not had a bad sandwich from The Lunch Box.
