The tavern had been recommended to us, but when we looked at the menu nothing inspired us all that much, or perhaps in all honesty it was the waft of pizza being cooked nearby that lured us in. We spent $68.00 on two large pizza's with drinks. We had the exotic chicken, cottage cheese, cashews and apricot and a tasty vegetarian style, just as adventurous and delicious. The owner refused to return it to the credit card and gave me cash but made sure he deducted the cost for the two coffees, that were brought to us 30 minutes after being seated. If the owner had said we are slammed and apologized it wouldn't have been a big deal but to have unfriendly staff, automatically disregard question, and refuse credit card return, it seemed like things are going downhill.

There's frittata and quiche in the cabinet, with baked goods, sandwiches, salads and all sorts of things. Coffee is a little weak for my taste, but that's obviously personal preference. For the main we enjoyed beef fillet with ginger and Balinese confit of duck along with rice and nan bread. This was hearty and delicious. Light fresh and full of flavour. This was washed down with cocktails, marble point Pinot noir and crater rim late harvest Pinot Gris. The only thing you could say that is average about this place are the cocktails. Wine list is extensive and supports the local wineries well. A great spot for amazing tasty food in this alpine town.
