    There are many Multimags, but this one is special and mine. I have come here for my preferred pens,…read moreand for the Moleskin city books and other careful notebooks which I like to give as gifts for travellers. They have an arts section I like, and good cooking magazines in French and English, and new literature and they keep perfect white Laphams Quaterlies neatly stacked. When fashion week comes they have the great big gorgeous season books in the back which I love to look at longingly but generally can't afford. I like the staff here too and the odd coffee table books piled around hoping you or I will take them home.

    I walked in thinking this was a toy shop because of the window display. I quickly realized it is a…read morenewsstand PLUS. Large selection of magazines and some great looking cookbooks, but looked like a lot of them were in French. I didn't bother to ask about English versions. There were some cute Montreal souvenirs and gifts that were not cheesy. A nice assortment of notebooks and pens, even calligraphy pens and ink bottles! Old school. There was a great adult coloring kit that was on sale. I was so tempted but it was so heavy! I'll have to return when I have car access or one of those granny shopping rollerbags. There were some other random cute stuff like nail clippers shaped like a cat; tin pill boxes that actually looked cool, not like the ones you find at a pharmacy; and yes, there are great wooden toys. My favorite was the wooden espresso machine. How appropriately Little Italy.
