While most of his staff a good, one in particular told me incorrect and possibly dangerous information. That person was giving advice on something he had zero knowledge about. Do not go here for any reason. There are to many physicians that hold patient care and concern as a routine part of their practice in their practice of medicine greater Orlando area. I don't know if I'm more…read moreembarrassed for the doctor due to his conduct and negligence or mad at myself for putting up with his immature behavior for so long. I'm a 28 yr old former college athlete, consistently work out daily. I'd been seeing Burkhart since 2021 due to an injury sustained that he was never able to provide a treatment plan for and I never recovered even 50%. Recently, I injured myself and visited him on crutches 08/17/2022 he didn't want to order an MRI, said "I didn't need it and it was just arthritis", even though my knee had dislocated and the urgent care doctor who gave me crutches so I could walk recommended an MRI. We went back and forth for about 5 minutes and he eventually ordered the MRI, thank God. MRI took place on 08/19/2022 ***I reviewed the medical notes he wrote and they were ALL incorrect and lies!*** I had my girlfriend attend the last visit with me on 08/23/2022 so we could request a wheelchair, witness his behavior, and he didn't disappoint. For the 1:50pm appointment he didn't see me until 2:40pm, I had to ask somebody in the clinic to fetch him. The MRI he said I didn't need showed damage to the meniscus, it's fringed. I've since been told by another doctor that it's torn. HE ACTUALLY REFUSED TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS OR HERS ABOUT MY CARE AND INJURIES. I can't make this up, I asked him a specific question and his response was "Me answering that question will not give you the answer that you need." as if he's the Oracle from the Matrix. Ultimately, 8 minutes into the appointment he got up and walked out of the room and said "I'm not doing this." after I repeatedly asked him how a fringed meniscus could inhibit my recovery. When communicating my complaints to the branch manager he walked in to INTERRUPT, didn't say excuse me or anything and gave some spiel about how he's an expert doctor even though I'm on crutches with no ETA on when I'll even be able to walk again. He gave me a wheelchair prescription and then cancelled it a week later. Additionally the medical supply company who handles the wheelchair order stated that the notes he provided weren't adequate enough to get a wheelchair through insurance. HE WROTE IN THE NOTES THAT DURING THE EXAMINATION THERE WERE NO CHANGES EVEN THOUGH PRIOR TO 08/09 I COULD WALK AND NOW I CAN'T EVEN GET DRESSED WITHOUT SITTING DOWN. HIS INSOLENCE AND INCOMPETENCE HAS HINDERED AND PROLONGED MY ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY RECOVER. There's so much more but this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Dr. Bachoura is the third orthopedist I have seen in the area for my hands/wrists and he is absolutely wonderful! I saw the Rothman Orthopedic building in downtown Orlando and thought, "Well, may as well try that practice." I am so happy they have their practice name on a skyscraper! From the moment I walked in, I was helped immediately by friendly staff. I could not use my right hand, and they made sure my new patient check in went smoothly. The reception area is large, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, as are the radiology room and the patient rooms. Wait time was minimal for every step of my visit. I was impressed with the way the doctor and staff listened to my concerns and acknowledged and discussed them all with me. The doctor explained my issues and treatment plan very well in terms I could easily understand, and he was patient in listening to and answering all of my questions. I was also impressed to see very modern technology used which I have not seen in my many past visits to various orthopedists. I was at a level 10 pain when I entered the office. I was at a zero pain level when I left the office! I am very happy and content now knowing I have such a wonderful doctor and team to take care of my hands and wrists! I will be making an appointment with a shoulder specialist at the practice next week, and I will also be making an appointment for my husband (knee) very soon. I can't recommend Dr. Bachoura and Rothman orthopedics highly enough!

I was able to get an appointment in a short length of time with Dr. Austell, waited maybe 10 minutes to be seen. The front desk and Dr. Austell's care team, were very accomodating and after Dr. Austell went over my records, I was set up for a procedure at Lake Mary Surgery Center. It was a pain free experience, which I was grateful for, after having alot of pain during a procedure with the last pain doctor I had. I would definitely refer Dr. Austell to my friends and family.

But thank God it wasn't a bad experience. We've been taking our son here for almost a year because his primary care doctor is at this location. Our doctor has an assigned nurse which is one we appreciate; she already knows is and looks forward to seeing our son each time! It just makes everything a more pleasurable experience and one that's personal simply because she's warm, friendly, and very personal. I mean, he knows her or at least recognizes her from the previous appointment. So we gave this place a 4 star, nice folks, great doctor who's very informative and knowledgeable, plus they offer great customer care. The only thing is if you come early to your appointment or late to your appointment or on time, there's a minimum of a 30 minute wait before the nurse sees you.
