Dr. Caggiano seems to be a fine physician, and I have been a patient of his for many years, but his staff is intolerable. Rude, indifferent, apathetic, and borderline incompetent. Be careful if you are pushed off to a physicians assistant. My wife was having an MRI done to look into a mass in her brain. Because the doctor was on vacation we were sent to an assistant who we were told could order the MRI, so we thought there would be no difference who ordered the procedure, as long as it was issued. First problem was the assiatant ordered the wrong MRI, but we went ahead with it anyway. The results were sent to the doctors office, but when my wife called to make an appointment to discuss the results the staff informed us that Dr. Caggiano would not be reading the results, but rather the assistant would be doing that. Now the assistant in question told me during our appointment that Excedrin was an anti-inflammatory because it contained ibuprofen. I knew this was incorrect and asked if she was sure and she said she was. She left the room and I looked up the ingrediants and showed my wife that she was wrong. She returned a moment later and told me she looked it up as well and admitted her mistake. She seems nice enough, but we're talking about a possible brain tumor, and there is no way that someone who does not know something as simple as what's in Excedrin should be reading a MRI and making a diagnosis. When I told a staff member of my concern and asked to have Dr. Caggiano call me, I was told that there was no way they would have the doctor call me nor would he be reading the MRI. I will be talking with Dr. Caggiano about the behavior of his staff and I strongly encourage anyone who has dealt with similar behavior from them will contact the doctor as well. Many times the physician has no idea what their staff is up to and how they are treating patients, and this is something that is just unexceptable. read more
