Purchased a great massage on Groupon. Went on to get other chiropractic services with Dr. Anthony who was great overall no complaints about him specifically but this facility has very suspect billing practices. I see someone else wrote a review a few years ago stating the same. So patients beware that if your using your personal health insurance they equate manually rolling a ball up a wall or using stretch bands to a $140 fee schedule. I work in personal injury so I'm familiar with injury care providers creating their own fee schedules just on the edge of egregious to inflate billing and I find his practice very distasteful. I would highly discourage people from using their this facility for therapy if you're using your health insurance or out of pocket. read more

I wafted towards this place because of the $10 for a 30min massages. I still needed PT after my accident and decided to give this play a try. I'm very happy that I did. Massage therapy combined with innovate PT exercises and I'm a much happier girl! Not to mention all of my maxillofacial knots in my shoulders are going down! SCORE! :) I took off one star for the receptionists. They are nice, but sometimes they lack a bit in customer service. Specifically letting me sit almost a whole 30min past my appointment without telling me that the Dr. wasn't even in the office yet until I approached them. But, I consider that minor. The facility is clean. Dr. Ron has a good personality and seems genuine. I also think that I have a good massage therapist, Claire. I've gone to many places in the past and have had the most hard-handed therapist that couldn't get rid of my knots! So I'm pleasantly surprised by her work! read more

Highly recommend this facility for all your wellness and health needs! I bought a massage off group-on, made an appointment, and proceeded to get my deep tissue massage. All that was asked of me was basic info and I was on the bed ready to go in less than 10 minutes. My massage therapist was Crystal and she was GREAT! For massage therapy, it does not get any better than Rashona. She excels in deep tissue massage therapy. As a long distance runner, I've had several needs that have arisen during training as well as after long distance running and Rashona delivers such a high level of service because of her in-depth understanding of the numerous muscles in the body. I have also seen Dr. Ted a few times and have benefited from his physical therapy as well as acupuncture. Dr. Ted and team are professionals! For dieters, while I've not tried it, they have an extensive offering of dietary products. Real life photographs of people before-and-after this diet program are posted in their lobby and are impressive. In terms of recommendations to this business, I would love to see a larger schedule for Rashona given her expertise in her area of work. I am very disappointed with my experience with Multicare Health Center. I had several appointments in a months time and offered to pay my $10 copay, but was told I didn't need to because it would be submitted to insurance first. 4 months later I got a bill for over $300 when I was expecting to pay $80-90 for my office visit copay. When I called and explained that I felt misled and was upset, I wanted to see if they'd "meet me in the middle" and I would pay half of the bill (about $160, still double what I had expected), they were unable to be accommodating. This is why I will not return for their services in the future and have to give them a poor review. read more

I purchased a groupon for a massage. Multicare Health Center is located right next to Tom's Carryout on Harlem Avenue. I had Krystal for the massage and wow! I felt a difference right away. She worked out the tension in my neck and jaw. Everyone was really nice and seemed to really know their stuff. Kristine, who runs the front desk, is awesome. She should be running the White House. this place is another deceptive chiropractic office. they tell me when I call in to make a first appointment that I can get a massage without seeing a doctor and that my insurance would definitely cover it and they would bill my insurance. AFTER I get the massage they then go on to tell me that I would have to make an appointment with the chiropractor before they could bill my insurance and that if I did not do that I would have to pay the full amount due. I protest telling them I'm not going to let them contradict what they already explicitly told me. First they evade any responsbility for being honest to customers or holding to their word. Then they try denying ever saying what they absolutely did say. If you want people who will deal honestly with you don't go here. read more

I came across a business card stating this location gives a new customer a $10 1/2 hr massage. I spoke to the receptionist and was able to apply the discount to a 1 hr $50 message. She was very nice. Reviews were decent however there were only 5, which should of been a red flag. Today I requested a FULL BODY DEEP TISSUE message. I indicated the only problem area was a broken toe on my Rt foot that was almost healed and to avoid it. At no point in time did I receive a deep tissue nor full body massage. I wouldn't even classify the experience as Swedish. One would think a masseuse undergoes schooling/ training on the basic human anatomy. Those "nooks and crannies" to focus on relieving the tension areas. Running ones hands vigorously and stretching the skin does not constitute as deep tissue. I can receive the same treatment poolside applying suntan lotion. Spending approximately 4 min out of the hr resting your forearm on my rib cage and then quads does not constitute as deep tissue. The masseuse should know multiple techniques in relieving stress such as utilizing elbows, palms, knuckles, thumbs, Etc. I received no such treatment! Approximately 10 minutes in I realized this therapist had no game plan nor knew what she was doing. Techniques applied to one side or extremity should be used on the other, not unilaterally. This also gives the customer the impression he/she does not have a set program and is forgetting what she is doing. Also by setting up a program and being consistent will help with time management. I requested a full body treatment. The masseuse neglected my hands, forearms, feet, lower legs, shoulders, upper back, neck, and some therapists even massage the head as well. So what did she do, you ask? I understand stretching is important, however pulling on a customer's extremities throughout the entire hour is not only annoying but also wasting time. She also stated repeatedly "make sure your breathing." I understand breathing is also important however by the seventh time I was starting to get annoyed. I do not need to breathe deeply the entire hr to relax. The therapist will know if I've stopped breathing because I will be lying unconscious on your bed! Also while lying in the prone position (face down), the therapist lifted up my legs and let them freefall to the bed. Throughout the years of getting message therapy I had never been subjected to this technique. This definitely caught me offguard, and I was truly baffled. I was asking myself what the possible therapeutic solution could be. Was she clueless and making stuff up to kill time? I mentioned she neglected my feet. My left foot entirely to be exact, however she did find my broken toe on my right by yanking on it!! Why bother filling out a form prior to the session. I know she read it because she repeated it to me in the room. If she is not going to follow that form why use it, especially when it deals with an injury. This by far was the worst massage experience I have ever encountered. I hope this review is useful for the masseuse, and also helpful for those customers looking for a professional quality massage. read more

Be careful with this health center. The customer service is horrible. They charge outrageous amounts for services so that they are able to charge the patient more out of pocket. Example, therapeutic exercise $140. This entailed less than ten minutes of me doing simple exercises that were not even supervised and could be easily done by anyone who knows absolutely nothing about exercise. That's not even the really horrible part about this center. I received a bill for the charges not covered by insurance. When I called the 800 number to make the payment I gave all of my personal credit card information including the 3 digit code on the back of the card. When I asked for the confirmation number I was told by the rep that she couldn't give me one. I asked, "Why?" She said because I can't actually process the payment. I in aww said, "I just gave you all my personal credit card information and you can't process the payment and give me a confirmation number?" Hmmmmm oooook. Why is the center hiring a third party to collect people's personal payment information then? I then called the office and was told Kristian was the person who handles billing and she would call me the next day. Well of course she did not. Instead, I received a text from a strange out of state number saying that my payment was processed through a Square. I called the office and spoke to Kristian as she happened to answer the phone. I questioned this very suspicious and strange billing practice and Kristian became very defensive and was so rude I could not believe I was talking to a "doctors" office. She gave no real explanation for hiring a third party to collect patients payment information and argued with me repeatedly when questioned. I, as well as no one that I know have ever known a medical practice to conduct business in this fashion and I AM in healthcare. BEWARE of fraud. When a company can't give you a reason as to why they hire a third party to collect their patients confidential credit card information when they supposedly process the payment from a Square in the office, I would pass that on. Which is why I am writing this review. Bad customer service and suspicious billing practices. Not to mention the issues I started going to this center for were not resolved by this center but by another practitioner. I stopped going there because I was going for weeks without the issue being resolved. Please do your research and find a more reputable and professional practice if you are in pain. FYI for those expecting to see Dr. Ron who was reported to me by a family member to be awesome left the practice I believe at least a year ago. I have also called my cc company to report this suspicious activity as well. read more
