What more could you ask for Emporia?? Mulready's is, by far, the best hang out spot in Emporia for grown ups! Do you like beer? I do too! And you can tell that the owners really do too by what they choose to carry. They take pride is providing local beers, full-flavored craft beers, and interesting beers. Their staff are all cicerone trained and are able to discuss beer in a meaningful way, which is great when you have questions or want recommendations! The banana beer is AMAZING! Oh my god. The atmosphere here is very comfortable, clean, and inviting. They've done a great job with their outdoor patio too. You wont find a million underage college kids in here looking to get drunk on cheap beer. It really is great, and something Emporia was missing for a long time. I've lived in Emporia my entire life minus a few weeks. I'm almost ashamed to admit that 1-7-2023 is my first visit to Mulreadys. They've got a CRAPLOAD of beers on tap. A little bit of everything. I was exceedingly happy with their selection!!! Not counting all my Untappd entries I did while I was there. Very friendly very nice place. To bad they don't serve food "yet!!" To whom it may concern: Me and my wife went to Mulreadys for our last stop today for the Lanyard challenge. We received horrible service. I believe it was racial discrimination. My wife believes it was just because they were busy. She is blinded by the racial issues that occur here in Emporia. Ill explain the story and let you decide. My wife and I approached the counter before several people. Two people who came up behind us were served before us. All of the bartenders ignored us for several minutes. More people showed up to the left and the right of us and we were still being looked over. I had to voice my opinion very loudly to even be seen and heard. We waited patiently for several minutes before I did this.. a man ,who was a customer, saw we were we overlooked and attempted to help us be seen and heard by the bartenders. As a veteran of this country, I am ashamed to be apart of a community that looks down on people because of their skin color. In times like these, of racial discrimination, I miss my home in chicago. I pray in the times to come, Mulreadys bartenders will be more attentive to different styles of customers. I will not be going back here. read more

Been wanting to come here since we seen it on Bar Hunters back in December of 2013. Finally made it. 1st bar we went to when we got into town. Really friendly bartender took care of us. Was my 1st time to try a Moscow mule & really enjoyed it. They had some really good tiki drinks for the month of April that my wife really enjoyed as well. read more

After a long days work and being in town on business i wanted to check out the local establishments. Over the course of 7 hours I managed to visit every bar in town and Multeadys just came up short. The building has a stink to it and the bathrooms are disgusting. Quite the college dive and no food. A quality joint is the brewery around the corner. read more

I'm actually surprised no one has commented on this wonderful bar! The atmosphere is inviting, and home like. They have nice leather chairs, antique wood work, and a wide selection of outstanding beers. My favorite of course being the Yeti Imperial Stout! Now the prices are a little high, but trust me, you pay for what you get! I also think the steep prices encourage a more competent and mature audience-perfect for late night conversation. Many of the other bars along Commercial Street really pale in comparison to this Irish Pub. I've been to some where the floors are sticky, the clientele' are threatening, and the service is just horrible. Honestly, many of the other bars are simply nothing more than places for young college students to get drunk and unruly. By far, I would personally recommend this bar to anyone. Having lived in Emporia for six years, I found this bar a breath of fresh air! The only other place I've visited that was quite similar to this place was a pub called "Onkel Oscars" in Norway. That was a long time ago. Otherwise, I honestly hope other bar owners will follow suit and take notes from Mulready's Pub. If you happen to find yourself staying overnight in Emporia, or passing through on I-35 or I-70 towards Wichita, this is a great place to sit and relax! There's also a restaurant nearby called BoobyD's, and they serve great BBQ! Anyway, I hope this helps someone make an educated choice about this establishment. Although I've moved out of the town, I definitely plan on making a trip back to this pub. It really made a great impression on me! read more

Great atmosphere: quirky, funky, fun. Broad selection of beers. No kitchen, but chips and pretzels.

My husband and I visited Mulready's on Valentine's Day. It is inviting the minute you walk in the door with couches and plush chairs in front. Then there is the bar with bar stools and tables with chairs to your right. They had chocolate drink specials that day. The service was impeccable. We sat at the bar. We will definitely return when we are back in town. read more
