Our first family ride

Car buying is the worst - I went through the worst and then found the best. Thank you Brittany for being so responsive and guiding us through this process - we were at the point of giving up!! Also a thanks to Roosevelt in finance for making the process easy and working for the best possible option for our family. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Missing interior bracket to mount the roof rack to the the roof. Caused leaking in the vehicle.

21 June 2025: I had to trade in my old Toyota FJ Cruiser because I needed a vehicle with an automatic transmission due to knee damage from my military service and post-surgery pain. Having to press a clutch was too painful. I hesitantly traded it for a 3rd Gen Tacoma with an automatic transmission. Kept if for 1.5 years and hated it. I wanted another FJ Cruiser. I stumble across Mullinax Fords web site and see this beautiful green FJ at their West Palm Beach location. I had been looking at FJ's for a month, and this one checked all my boxes. Low miles, looked great and well maintained, etc.... I drove from Tampa to West Palm to test drive it and it ran great! I was totally stoked (that feeling you get when you love a vehicle) and I traded in my Tacoma. I drove it home (3.5hrs) and it was great. Felt good, just like my old one except this one was an automatic transmission. I parked in my driveway and it rained that afternoon. Didn't think anything of it. Went to get something out of my it and noticed the passenger side floor mat was wet. I then lifted the floor mat and there was a puddle of water. I notified the salesman that sold me the vehicle and asked if he could call the previous owner to see if this was an issue. The salesman obliged and the previous owner stated it never did...maybe true, maybe not. I pulled apart the lower kick panel, removed the glove box, and inspected the cabin air filter. Filter was dry. Had a neighbor spray the FJ down as I laid in the FJ observing the lower passenger side are below the kick panel. I had them spray low and work their way up. When they got to the mounts for the roof rack, the water started coming into the cabin. I communicated this with the Mullinax Ford and they said they would talk to the manager. Today I went to remove the roof rack to inspect the mounting areas to find where the water was leaking into the cabin. I put my T-40 bit in there and went to loosen the bolts and the spun freely. They were "just" in the holes, not attached to anything...just sitting in the holes. That being said, there is a bracket under the headliner they are supposed to attach to. I proceeded to remove all the trim covers. Strangely, none of the bolts were "factory" tight. The were all way too easy to loosen. That made me suspicious that someone knew about this issue, started to fix it, then gave up. The first one I removed was the upper trim panel that covers the door latch. I pulled it off; it was full of water and traces of dirt. It had a small metal clip in it as well (the clip that holds the roof rack bracket to the roof). Had to remove the A-Pillar trim, and the rear window trim, grab handles, and various clips to get to the area where the mount is (remember, I'm the consumer). As soon as I lowered the head liner that is above the door latch, I see the bracket that the two bolts are supposed to mount to. It was just wedged between the headliner and the door latch. So now it's all apart and ready to repair. I contacted Mullinax Ford to see if there was anything they could do for me...maybe pay for the parts to repair it, maybe send me to a contract place to have someone do the repairs. Their response was, "Unfortunately since it is a bronze vehicle and you are so far. We won't be able to do anything." They could order the parts I need through a local dealership here, or offer a gift card to cover parts and labor...but no. They can't do anything. I find all this to be strange. It must not have rained a drop in West Palm while they had the vehicle on the lot, and they must not have washed the vehicle. If so, they would have known about the leaking. I suspect the guys that do the vehicle prep probably saw the water, and wiped it up and didn't report it. Had I known this vehicle was leaking, I would have either used it as a negotiation tool, or simply not have wasted my time buying it. P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a fool born every minute." I was that fool for trusting Mullinax Ford. Not their fault it leaks, but they should have made it known, or repaired it. Buyer beware. Update 23 June 2025: Mullinax Ford did contact me by phone and offer to pay for the parts needed to do the repairs. I appreciate them reaching out to me, and this was a step in the right direction. Thank you Mullinax Ford for going in the right direction with this.

Do NOT EVER come to this Ford dealership. They scam you and price gouge you with even simple repairs.

I gave it a second chance but I'm not sure why. But onto my problem and this was second lease through them. Just a heads up if your getting a car lease through Schumacher and they go through a credit union like Velocity that uses Fusion Lease company. This basically is a 3rd party lease. I cannot return the car lease to the dealership. (It has to be picked up by a car pickup company that fusion schedules). I also normally would get the disposition fee waived if I am buying another VW or sister car like Audi, and usually the mileage if over, all or some of it usually be waived if I buy or lease another car but none of this applies. Schumacher never told me any of this and unfortunately I thought I had a normal lease like my previous one through them. The new dealership that I bought a car from that is a sister dealership was willing to write these things off but because it went through a credit union(which the dealer never heard of any lease going through a credit union) was not able to find me in the system stop do this. Now here I am with having to pay a disposition fee and paying extra mileages and sometimes there is an amount they will give as an allowance for wear and tear, but that doesn't apply either. Just an fyi because I was under the assumption my lease was a normal lease process and Schumacher never made me aware of any of this. My guess is Schumacher has some kind of deal or kickback from them but they definitely should let you know the normal leasing circumstances does not apply if you are going through a credit union because it uses a 3rd party leasing company. Very deceptive practice of Schumacher.

Now the sales guy is talking #'s to me & my comparison shopping has now stopped, because I found a car that I love and the PRICE was very good. I did wind up purchasing a 2026 Toyota Corolla LE & got it financed at an excellent rate & now I am the owner of an EARL STEWART TOYOTA COROLLA. My entire life was being a Honda civic girl, but that changed. My service guy Steven Silverstein and he did me right, I even got Tinted windows on my New Car that I pickup on this Thursday,1/8/2026. I would definitely Recommend anyone who is looking for a new car, especially a Toyota to go to EARL STEWART.The difference is when you purchase a car at EARL STEWART you don't pay any Dealer Fees..and that saves U over $1000.00 +.... compared to going to other Toyota Dealerships. The technician initially wrote up services I did not request (alignment, balancing, and tire rotation). I had to correct this and clarify that I wanted a proper diagnostic check first. Despite having an appointment, I waited over three hours only to be told the vehicle hadn't even been taken into the shop. After escalating the issue to the service manager, the vehicle was finally looked at. Within 30 minutes, I was told I needed four new tires and an alignment at a cost of $1,200. This felt rushed and questionable, especially without a thorough explanation. I declined and decided to get a second opinion. I then went to Tires Plus, where the assessment was completely different. They confirmed I did NOT need new tires. They performed an alignment, balanced the tires, and completed an oil change--all for $356.98. The vibration issue was resolved. Additionally, the dealership failed to note that my vehicle was due for an oil change, even though it was clearly indicated. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. The lack of organization, poor communication, and what felt like unnecessary upselling does not inspire confidence. Thank you

This is hands down the most unprofessional dealership I've ever visited…read more I came in prepared. I knew exactly what I wanted, had my numbers in order, and was ready to make a deal. Instead of having a straightforward conversation, they immediately tried to hustle me -- assuming I didn't know any better. I've spent about 10 years working with dealerships in New York, so I'm very familiar with how deals are structured, what's negotiable, and what isn't. They attempted to mislead me about fees and claimed certain items couldn't be removed, discounted, or adjusted -- which simply wasn't true. When they realized I wasn't going to fall for it, the manager became visibly frustrated. At one point he said, "If you don't return by closing time, I'm not honoring the deal." As if this was the only dealership in Florida. That kind of pressure tactic might work on someone inexperienced -- but it's just unprofessional and desperate. After I walked out, he tried chasing me with a sudden "bottom line" offer. By then, the damage was done. Negotiation isn't about intimidation -- it's about transparency and professionalism. If you can't close a deal without emotional pressure, that says everything. I left laughing with my girlfriend. Not because it was funny -- but because it was unbelievable how poorly it was handled. There are plenty of reputable dealerships that know how to treat customers with respect. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I made an appointment for 11 AM on Wednesday assuming I would be out of there in an hour to an hour and a half for a simple oil change. When I arrived, I had to walk around to find my service advisor but once I tracked him down, he was very friendly and cordial and very interested in my car. He explained that it would take at least a couple hours to do the oil change. I inquired if they could give me a ride home and he assured me that they would be happy to do so. I ended up waiting one hour before someone came to get me to offer me that ride home, which is only a couple miles away. I declined, since the oil change is to take two hours I might as well wait the extra hour. Everyone who passed by me, especially Rob and Michael (manager? in office beside Customer Lounge) was friendly and asked me if I'd like water, etc. I had my large service dog with me and everyone was engaging and caring. Eventually 2 hours became almost 3.... Victor was kind enough to check in the status and reported back to me promptly. When he came to get me (I t seems my service advisor disappeared for a very long lunch...lol) I was told my oil change was complimentary! Now that's a definite improvement in noticing how a customer feels. I did ask why they make appointments for a specific time slot for a simple thing like an oil change and was told they have issues with accepting too many cars. The car was brought to me with a nice plastic sheet over the seat cover. Although it was not vacuumed nor quick washed as I've experienced for scheduled oil changes of my other vehicle at local Al Packer Lincoln Ford, I appreciated the consideration. There are many "runners" sitting around the outside service area who could be enlisted for that free extra attention... From reading previous reviews, I think a little closer attention to the individual customer, like what I experienced in a positive way today will do wonders for our experiences and for good reviews like I was happy to be able to leave today. By the way, I will be bringing my car back for further service needs and oil changes. Hopefully, they will get their scheduling act together for the complimentary ride home (more promptly than one hour) and for prompt and thorough service by managing MTTR (quality assurance).

The process was seamless thanks to three specific professionals: Danilo (Sales): Danilo is a class act. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure every detail of the car was perfect. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and never pressured the process. He took the time to ensure every question was answered and that we found the perfect vehicle. What was most surprising throughout the experience was the overall lack of professionalism displayed by both management and staff. Communication was inconsistent, timelines were poorly managed, and many written responses contained careless grammatical errors and repeated misspellings of customer names -- all of which reflected a broader lack of attention to detail and customer service standards. On multiple occasions, the dealership also referenced potential "goodwill" gestures or accommodations in response to the ongoing inconvenience and lack of resolution, yet none of those offers were ultimately acted upon or followed through. I often found myself having to initiate follow-up conversations simply to receive updates or direct answers. While mistakes can happen at any business, I expected a far higher standard of professionalism, communication, and accountability from a dealership representing the Mercedes-Benz brand.
