He was rude, dismissive, and when we addressed it, he told us "there's the door" and continued to be disrespectful as we left. Lincoln has plenty of great establishments to choose from. Unfortunately, Press Box won't be one of them.

The food was good, the cocktails were well made, and we left looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, our second visit didn't live up to that first impression. The food was still decent, but the cocktails were disappointing and lacked the quality we experienced before. The dining room was also quite noisy, making it difficult to have a relaxed conversation. One issue that was consistent on both visits was the service. While the staff was friendly, our wait service wasn't very attentive either time, and we often found ourselves waiting longer than expected for drinks and other needs, including getting our bill. I chased down the waitstaff on each visit just to pay. Based on our two experiences, Liquid Assets has shown it can be very good, but the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. We probably won't be in a hurry to return, though we hope they can provide a more consistent experience in the future.

I attended a workshop that was being held in the event space. They did tell me that they don't have an assigned wait person for private events, so I had to place my order at the counter and then go into the event room & watch for someone to show up with my food. I ordered the fried shrimp basket with a side of mashed potatoes and a side of coleslaw. There was an ample amount of fried shrimp and they were cooked perfectly. My mashed potatoes were lumpy and not quite warm, which was disappointing. The coleslaw was served in a little plastic container so it must be premade and pre-portioned. It tasted fine. My cocktail sauce was still frozen in a separate little plastic container. I thought the price was reasonable and the food was OK. The event space was not set up well for as big of a crowd at the event, but I mean it's great that the people hosting had such a good turnout! And you can choose to seat by the bar as well. We took a table seat. They gave us a while and came back for our orders. I ordered Garden City and bourbon salmon for lunch (that was the lunch special) - not on the menu. Drinks took about 10 minutes to come. My drink was wrong when it came. I thought it strange the drink I ordered listed empress gin but it was colourless. So when our food came, I asked what I ordered just to ensure that they delivered the correct drink. Our server just went sorry my colleague made this let me check. And eventually came back with the correct drink. Garden City was pretty but a little strong in terms of alcohol. It was a pleasant surprise when our food came. The sides were brocccolini and yellow coconut rice together woth the bourbon salmon. I would say this is the most delicious salmon I've had in Lincoln. Hubby wasn't feeling well but thought his chicken wrap was delicious. I sneaked his fries and it was the way I liked it. Very crispy. Overall, a good experience. We will be back.
